Johnny Depp is one of the most well-known and successful actors of his generation, appearing in some major blockbuster films and helping to create some iconic characters that will go down in history.
Of course, with major success in the film industry often comes an incredible amount of wealth, with Depp having a net worth of $200 million. However, Depp is also known for his spending habits, buying a lot of expensive things throughout his life.
Whether Depp can actually afford the lifestyle he is leading is in question as of late, but the Pirates Of The Caribbean star has bought some incredible things in his time, and within this list, we will rank the 10 most ridiculously expensive things he has bought.
Rolls-Royce Wraith
Famous celebrities owning incredible cars isn't something that is overly surprising, but Johnny Depp certainly splashed the cash when he purchased his choice of vehicle, the Rolls-Royce Wraith.
Depp bought his car for around $328,000 and is one of the top luxury vehicles available, with a 10.3in high-definition multimedia display, an onboard voice control system, traffic information and even a hat stand.
However, as well as being incredibly luxurious, the car is also very powerful with a 6.6-litre V12 engine, being able to go from 0-60 in 4.4 seconds with a top speed of 155.3 mph.
Kentucky Ranch
While it is believed that Johnny Depp has now sold this property, he did once own a huge Kentucky Ranch that covers an incredible 41 acres, featuring three barns, 15 stalls, and watered paddocks.
Away from the grounds and into the mansion itself, the property boasted six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a dining room and a wet bar, as well as a huge family room that adjoined to another area.
Of course, the home also had a swimming pool and entertainment areas, and if that wasn't enough space for Depp and his friends, then it also has access to a cottage that had another bedroom and other facilities.
1959 Corvette
The Rolls-Royce Wraith isn't the only vehicle that is in Johnny Depp's collection, with the popular actor also owning a red, 1959 Corvette roadster which is much more about thrills then it is class.
Hitting a top speed of 128 mph, the Corvette is a very impressive car on the road, but it is also visually fantastic with an old-fashioned look which he is often snapped driving around near his Los Angeles home.
Depp has also used the car in some of his movie scenes in The Rum Diary, where he plays a journalist, Paul Kemp, taking a job in Puerto Rico where he can be seen in his car.
Hollywood Hills Properties
It seems that Johnny Depp has a real thing for owning property, with the actor having several on Hollywood Hills, with Depp owning five mansions that, for some reason, are all on the same street.
Whether he just doesn't want strangers living near him or he just likes spending money is unsure, but he owns an entire cul-de-sac in the area, spending $19 million on the homes altogether.
Depp even considered creating an underground tunnel between them all, but it is unclear if that ever happened. However, he does have between 40-50 bathrooms to choose from within this one street, so he won't ever have to wait for the toilet.
Private Jet
It seems to be the popular thing for celebrities to own a private jet nowadays, allowing them to travel wherever and whenever they like without having to sit around with other people.
Johnny Depp owns a private jet which uses to get him from film sets to his homes, of which he has many across the world, and this allows him to choose exactly who he travels with.
Of course, the jet itself is an incredibly expensive thing to purchase, but then it also costs Depp an added $200,000 every month to keep it, and when you add staff costs it quickly becomes an expensive thing to own.
Wine
This isn't one major purchase that Johnny Depp has made but it is lots of regular purchases, with Depp being a major fan of good quality wine, as he spends $30,000 per month on the alcoholic beverage.
While all of the wine likely isn't for his personal consumption, and it won't be tons of bottles, instead, being just a few very expensive ones, it is still an incredible amount of money to spend.
With this being a regular, monthly purchase, it is going to be something that quickly adds up, with Depp spending $360,000 on wine to be brought into his homes within one calendar year.
Five Penthouses
You might think that just one rooftop penthouse in downtown L.A. would be enough for someone, but not for Johnny Depp, as he actually owns five, which he purchased for around $7.2 million.
Cover 11,500 square feet, altogether Depp's penthouses had nine bedrooms and 14 bathrooms, with one being used as an art studio, with the penthouses being located in an Art Deco-style building.
While they were originally separate, Depp apparently combined them all to form one massive home, which of course had a swimming pool on the roof.
French Village
That's right, Johnny Depp actually owns his own private village located in, Plan De La Tour, France, which is a village-like compound that Depp purchased in 2016 for an unknown amount of money.
However, considering it was a total small village, the price will not have been cheap, and he did spend $10 million upgrading the stone-built structures, with the area being over 10,000-square-feet.
The main house has five bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms with the village also having its own restaurant, although he is looking to sell it as the village is listed for $63 million right now.
Amphitrite Yacht
This incredible yacht, which Johnny Depp actually renamed twice was built back in 2001 and can hold up to 10 guests, within its five cabins, as well as the exterior dining, entertainment and relaxation spaces that it has.
The yacht is an incredibly luxurious traveling vehicle that has allowed Depp to set sail and treat his friends and family to some incredible days out on the water, with the yacht being worth $22 million.
However, Depp no longer owns this yacht as he sold it away to JK Rowling, the author behind the incredibly popular Harry Potter franchise.
His Own Private Island
Of course, what else would you own if you were a celebrity than your own private island, because that's what Johnny Depp does, channeling his inner Captain Jack Sparrow, snapping up the island, known as Little Halls Pond Cay Island in the Bahamas.
Depp actually spotted the island while shooting Pirates of the Caribbean, with the area having a 360-degree view of its surroundings, including another island, Osprey Bird Rock, which Depp also used to own.
The actor paid $3.6 million for this island and its white sandy beaches and palm tree's, and he has named all of the different beaches on the island after his own children.
