There's no shortage of lists of the hottest female fighters, but the problem is that a lot of them are old and outdated, and feature models who might have fought once in some amateur promotion, but realistically they aren't legitimate, competitive, high-level fighters today. They're more like models who had a fight, rather than fighters who could model. The internet is a really busy place, and people don't have time to sit around all day and to wade through vastly inferior lists. Can you imagine the productivity hit that our great nation would face if people were expected to curate their own lists of smokin' hot fighters. That's a scary, dystopian world and I want no part of.
So, instead of complaining about it, I decided to take a page out of Gandhi's book and "Be the change I want to see in the world." Gandhi probably wasn't referring to creating amazing galleries of gorgeous and deadly fighters, but maybe he was.
In any case, we've gone through the painstaking task of collecting nothing but the very hottest women's MMA fighters. Why? Because somebody had to. You can thank us later, for now... just enjoy the show. There are a few surprises waiting for you near the top of the list, so make sure you stick around. The only thing surprising about the first couple of entries on this list is that they weren't higher up, but it'll all make sense once you get to the end of the list.
11 Paige VanZant
Paige is a relatively fresh face to the UFC, in fact she would have competed on a recent season of The Ultimate Fighter except she wasn't 21 yet, so she had to sit it out since they served alcohol in the TUF house. She's had ups and downs inside the Octagon, but is easily the most famous prospect in women's MMA. She's gritty, tough, looks like a model, and her social media game is on point. She's everything the UFC is looking for in an up and coming fighter, so it's no wonder they're putting a lot of promotional push behind her.
Paige is a favorite to win this season of Dancing With the Stars, and her background as a dancer certainly doesn't hurt her chances. Paige is the first entry on this list, but that's not a knock on her beauty at all. She's here to lure you in with her allure and to make you curious who else made the list. Is it working yet?
10 Ronda Rousey
The past couple of years have been a whirlwind for Ronda Rousey. She went from being the lady who lead the way towards bringing women's MMA to the UFC, to becoming a household name and appearing in huge Hollywood blockbusters.
Ronda's fall was even quicker than her rise. When Ronda Rousey stepped inside the cage opposite Holly Holm, she was facing the biggest challenge of her career. Holm controlled the fight, and had Ronda scrambling, before ultimately landing the head kick that would shock the world.
Ronda recently signed a deal to do 3 more movies with the Lifetime Network, and we can expect to see her fighting again in the near future. Ronda took her first career loss very difficulty, as one of her biggest goals was to retire from MMA undefeated.
9 Joanna Jedrzejczyk
People have trouble pronouncing her name so she also goes by the moniker "Joanna Champion", a nickname she adopted before even becoming champion. This Polish UFC Strawweight Champion is the pound-for-pound most adorable fighter who can also beat up just about anyone with her slick world-class striking, even though she fights at a mere 115lbs.
When she isn't absolutely lighting up her opponents with her world-class striking abilities, you can find her on social media being incredibly cute and funny. She likes to troll her opponents, too. She gave one of them baked goods while cutting weight, she gave another one a noodle (the opponent's last name was Penne.)
She's getting ready for a rematch of her closest fight to date, a decision victory over Claudia Gadelha. A lot of people thought that Claudia could have won that fight, and it was definitely close, so we'll see how the rematch goes.
8 Randa Markos
Not only is Randa Markos the dark horse of her division, she's the dark horse of this list. She has yet to break through onto the radars of mainstream MMA fans, but she's well on her way. Randa has spent time training at Tri-Star, which is one of the top gyms in the world thanks to the likes of GSP, Rory MacDonald, and their head coach Firas Zahabi.
Randa is a fighter in every sense of the word. When she was three years old, she moved to Canada after fleeing a war-torn Iraq. She's been through a lot, and obviously comes from a family of people that are also tough. Her style of fighting is to grind her opponents until they've broken both physically and mentally, because let's face it: not a lot of gals out there can go toe-to-toe with Randa when it comes to overcoming adversity and being down right tough.
7 Aleksandra Albu
Where in the world is Aleksandra Albu? Her first pro fight was a victory in 2013 in a promotion called OFC. Her second fight was in the UFC, where she won via submission in the second round in 2015, as per Sherdog. None of her fights have gone the distance; she's an exciting fighter and a finisher.
She's marketable, and could win the hearts of fans the world over, so hopefully she starts fighting more often. The reason she doesn't fall into the aforementioned criteria of "hot chicks who have fought once or twice" is because she isn't just a model throwing a few jabs on a regional show, she's made it to the top of the sport by competing in the UFC.
6 Lena Ovchynnikova
Her nickname is Hunter, but if she's pursuing you, don't even bother running. She took a couple of years off, and just returned for a fight in Bellator which she unfortunately lost, but hopefully she gets back in there soon to avenge the loss. Her career record is 10-4, and her first pro-fight was 10 years ago in 2006.
She went undefeated in her first 8 fights, and it's been a bit up-and-down since then. There have been several patches in her career where she's stopped for a year or two, and she's never been a terribly active fighter. Ten years is a long professional career, but on average she's only fighting less than one and a half times each year. She looks like she could be a movie star, so hopefully Viacom (the company that owns Bellator) hooks something up the next time she takes a break in between fights.
5 Claudia Gadelha
Claudia has one of the best bodies in all of women's MMA, her physique is just striking. Her face has a unique cuteness about it in many photos, but she can turn up the sultry when she hits the beach in her bikini. But first and foremost, she's an insanely talented fighter and many people thought she won her fight against Joanna Champion (before Joanna was Champion), so she will be going into the rematch filled with confidence, and this time there will be a belt on the line.
This Brazilian babe has been winning over fans left and right with her appearances as a coach on The Ultimate Fighter. Joanna, the previous fan-favorite and her opponent on the show, has been coming off as a bit of a bully. This is similar to what happened between Ronda Rousey and Miesha Tate when those two coached The Ultimate Fighter. Ronda, the previous fan-favorite, lost a lot of fans during the show and Miesha gained a lot of exposure and new fans. MMA fans are fickle, but there's a few things we can all agree on, and they're coming up in the rest of the top 5.
4 Miesha Tate
Miesha Tate is Ronda's biggest rival, and a star of the 135lb division in her own right. She was the champion over at Strikeforce before losing her belt to Ronda Rousey in their first fight. Miesha had a chance to redeem herself when the two were coaching opposite one another on a drama-filled season of The Ultimate Fighter.
Ronda went on to win their second match, which made a third title shot unlikely for Miesha for as long as Ronda remained champ. Lucky for Miesha, Holly Holm took the belt from Ronda and Tate earned another title shot, and she won. Miesha Tate has now been a champion in Strikeforce, and in the UFC.
3 Michelle Waterson
She's nicknamed "The Karate Hottie"; can you guess why? Here's one hint: She's really good at karate. Michelle Waterson trains at the Jackson/Winkeljohn Gym in Albuquerque, alongside championship-level fighters like Jon Jones, Holly Holm, Carlos Condit, and many more. She, herself, is a top competitor as well. She's currently fighting in the UFC at Strawweight, but she's a former Atomweight Champion in Invicta (An all-women MMA promotion that acts like a seeder-league to the UFC.)
She was featured on Bully Beatdown, and got some attention from an Oxygen show called Fight Girls. She's been practicing Karate since she was only 10 years old, and holds a black belt. Obviously, to compete in MMA, you need a lot more than just one discipline, so Michelle works hard in the gym to round off all aspects of her game as she aims to capture her first UFC title.
2 Rose Namajunas
Rose isn't just a cutie, she also has an incredible story of overcoming adversity and she seems like one of the funnest fighters to hang out with. Her boyfriend is a former UFC fighter, too, named Pat Barry, and he's a total fan favorite. These two goofballs post the funniest videos of themselves just hanging out and having a good time. When it comes to fighting, they're both people that you can look up to. When it comes to relationship goals, it doesn't get much better.
Ronda Rousey is famous for her arm bars, but Rose won a fight via flying armbar. She's still very young but it feels like she's been in the game forever. Rose is really coming into her own in the UFC now, has a ton of heart, skill, and toughness, and also a lot of room to continue growing as a fighter. She could very well be wearing that belt one day, and she's well on her way already.
One of the coolest things about her is that she's a complete gangster. Leading up to her fight against UFC golden girl Paige Vanzant, there was a lot of controversy surrounding Paige's decision not to shave her head, after promising to shave it for charity. Rose just went ahead and shaved her own head, out of nowhere, without making a big deal out of it, because it was getting in her way. It was a subtle jab towards her upcoming opponent, and a total gangster move from a fighter nicknamed Thug Rose.
1 Gina Carano
Gina Carano was the it-girl of MMA long before Ronda Rousey ever stepped into the cage. You've probably seen Gina in some of her movie roles, with credits that include Deadpool, Fast & Furious 6, Haywire, and a lot more. If it wasn't for Gina Carano, Ronda Rousey has been quoted as saying:
"I don't think I would be here." - Ronda Rousey
On top of her countless contributions to women's MMA, Gina Carano is a total stunner. Her photoshoot with GQ is legendary. Over the past couple of years, there has been talk of Gina making a return to MMA to fight Ronda. Ronda said she's open to it, and would do it for Gina, since Gina Carano is basically Ronda Rousey's idol. Gina doesn't have anything left to prove, but great fighters always have a hard time giving it up.
