The whole world rejoiced with the arrival of the Royal Baby.
As expected, it would be a very ostentatious celebration for the British people and the Royal family. Even Kate’s hospital bill speaks of extravagance.
The Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to the royal baby at Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital on July 23 at 16:24 BST. The baby, who happens to be a boy, weighs 8lb 6oz. The luxury suite was also the same room where Prince William and Prince Harry were born as well as their cousins Peter and Zara Phillips. Sources said William stayed by Kate’s side until the delivery process.
The lavish room boasts of a satellite TV, Internet, radio, bedside phone and refrigerator and newspaper of choice, with excellent food catering service. The Duchess also has complete access to the hospital’s National Health Service facilities.
According to reports, the room requires a deposit worth nearly $9,000 and an additional $1,560 cost for an added one day stay. The Royal couple was reported to have spent nearly $16,000 for the hospital bill.
On July 24, everyone had a glimpse of the Royal baby when the couple went out of the hospital, with Kate carrying the newest addition to the Royal Kingdom. Kate donned a blue polka dot Jenny Packham dress.
Everyone from the Royal Family still keeps mum about the baby’s name. William is a beaming father when he said, “We’ll have it as soon as we can. But it’s the first time we’ve seen him really so we’re having a proper chance to catch up.”
Middleton added, “It’s very emotional and it’s such a special time. I think any parent, I think, probably could sort of know what this feeling feels like.”
William described his son as a big boy, quite heavy and has Kate’s looks especially the lips.
