Kanye West first rose to stardom after his 2004 album The College Dropout, and throughout the years, the rapper went on to win a whopping total of 21 Grammys and received 69 nominations. As one of the wealthiest self-made musicians in the industry, West has amassed a massive $6.6 billion fortune. Along with a music catalog worth $110 million, he has also shifted his focus toward building his brand, Yeezy. As a 100% owner, Kanye West makes over $100 million in royalties yearly in Yeezy, which is worth $5 billion today. The successful collaboration with Gap is also worth $1 billion. Known for his humble beginnings, West does not hesitate to spend millions on things that matter.

Along with real estate assets worth $120 million, Kanye West has also spent his fortune on expensive gifts, jewelry, and an enviable car collection. One of his most prized possessions is his watch collection which is worth millions. Let’s look at the most expensive watches in Kanye West’s collection.

Cartier Crash ($137,500)

One of the most coveted and rare collections, Cartier by Crash, is released every few years in limited quantities. The unshapen-dialed watch is auctioned off for millions, and a handful of celebrities have the timepiece. According to Forbes, West was seen wearing Crash during his appearance on My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, a Netflix special hosted by David Letterman.

Rolex President Day-Date ($30,620)

With many verses dedicated to Rolexes, Kanye West has collected a significant watch collection consisting mainly of yellow gold timepieces. The President Day-Date is one of his most worn watches, often seen when the rapper is out on important meetings around Calabasas. The Day-Date has been a favorite watch for politicians and celebrities, symbolizing success.

Rolex Cosmograph Daytona ($16,780)

With various versatile Rolex watches under his belt, Kanye West also owns a Cosmographic Daytona. Often seen on his wrist during award shows, the Daytona is one of West's few watches that come with a leather strap. His timepiece comes with an Everose gold dial for an everyday look.

Rolex Submariner ($137,000)

In early 2020, Kanye West was seen out and about in New York in various hotels, and the rapper was spotted with a Rolex Submariner strapped to his wrist. One of Rolex’s signature models, the Submariner, is a standard template used for other diver’s watches. The timepiece is intended to be used underwater, but West has customized his watch with 18-carat gold, as noted by GQ.

Rolex Yacht-Master II ($18,750)

An obscure Rolex timepiece not owned by many, the Yacht-Master II comes with a reasonably large dial that can be spotted from a distance. A watch that has a significant presence on the wrist, West has a yellow gold Yacht-Master II with a blue and white dial. The rapper was spotted wearing the timepiece during his day outing in 2020.

Rolex President Day-Date II ($33,950)

A watch owned for ages, Rolex President Day-Date II, was first launched in 2008, and West was seen wearing it during his appearance at the 2009 BET Awards alongside his then-girlfriend Amber Rose. He was also seen wearing it during one of his Keeping Up With The Kardashians appearances. As mentioned by the Swiss Watch Expo, the rapper owns the Day-Date II in the shade of Everose gold, with diamonds encrusted instead of numerals.

Cartier Pasha ($120,000)

Kanye West mentioned Cartier in two verses of his 2004 album The College Dropout, including the Pasha, a slightly lesser-known model by the watchmaker at the time. The big, round watch was first released in 1932 before returning in 1985 when it became the rage everywhere. West has since owned the watch after it was re-released to the public and came under the radar.

Patek Philippe Nautilus ($110,000)

The Nautilus by Patek Philippe has been a popular timepiece owned by celebrities. West owns an older yellow gold version with a secondary dial. The flagship model was introduced to the world in 2018, and the rapper was first seen wearing the timepiece in 2020 during a casual stroll in Los Angeles.

Richard Mille RM010 ($201,240)

A list of expensive watches wouldn’t be complete without a Richard Mille in the collection. West owns the RM010, an old model by the watchmaker which is fairly available in the market, as stated by Wrist Enthusiast. The rapper was first spotted wearing the skeleton dial piece during an outing in 2016 to ArcLight Cinemas with his friends in Los Angeles.

While many watches in Kanye West’s collection are worth more than a few hundred thousand dollars, he wore modest Casio G-Shock timepieces for many years after he gained prominence in 2020. As timepieces have become a rare commodity that only increases their value with time, it won’t be surprising to see more stunning watches added to Kanye West’s already sprawling collection.
