Sylvester Stallone. From a rocky start in Hollywood that involved a couple of questionable movies to finally starring in projects like Rocky, Rambo and now The Expendables, Sly has come a long, long way from his humble start.

Known more for his muscled bod than his looks, and a birth accident that got him that famous slur of his, it took a while for people to acknowledge that he could act as well. Of course, from having to sell his dog for money to having some incredibly deep pockets – Sly is living the good life. And this is how he spends his moolah!

Aston Martin DBS: A Zippy Drive

We don’t know why Sly bought this. Maybe he had an unrealized dream of playing Bond and simply settled for Bond’s car instead. The Aston Martin DBS is as cool as wheels can get, with a 5.9-liter V12 engine that screams luxury and elegance.

The Aston Martin DBS is a rather visible car that goes on to show that Sly has no problem being seen, and clicked by the paps as he drives around in his $200,000 plus supercar. Of course, considering this car can go 0-60mph in 4.3 seconds at top speeds of 191 mph, he sure does not have a problem making a quick and clean getaway.

Have The Time? With Rolex, Panerai And More

There’s isn’t a celebrity out there worth his or her weight who does not boast an expensive collection of watches. And the same holds for Stallone with him alternating between an expensive Rolex and an equally expensive Panerai, and of course, many more. The Rolex can be acquired for under $10k which does not sound too expensive.

And Stallone is possibly responsible for bringing Panerai back into focus by being a loyal collector. He has been spotted wearing Panerai watches in many of his movies so he also ended up promoting the same. Of course, being a celebrity means some extra special treatment and both these watch companies did create special luxury editions made just for him.

Bentley Continental GTC: Driving Equals Luxury

Sly is pretty into cars. And once you are a celebrity, cushy luxury becomes the norm. And here, it’s the Brits who rule with Sly putting down almost $250,000 for a Bentley Continental GTC, though now Bentley belongs to Volkswagen.

A 6.0-liter W12 twin-turbocharged power mill can take this baby 0-60 mph in 4.5 seconds at crazy top speeds of 205mph. Sly’s car comes with red leather seats and customized interiors that make driving seem like a breeze. In reality, Stallone is quite the car and motorcycle collector – and is often snapped by the paps driving different cars all in a single day.

A $5 Million Lakeside Home? Nothing But The Best

In 2008, Stallone purchased a waterfront property on Lake Sherwood in California and spent time remodeling it and doing it up. He had spent about $4.85 million to get this 3,600 square feet oasis of peace.

Along with three bedrooms and baths, the house offered scenic views of the mountains and lake around, and the property itself is nestled in enough trees to effectively keep any snoops out. That said, by 2011 this house was back on the market for $4,995,000. We do not know who had the privilege of buying it, and finally for how much – but this was a 1946 home, with Sly listed as one of the owners.

That Italian Stallion Rocky Balboa Harley Davidson

Remember that yellow Harley Davidson Rocky buys when he makes it, in Rocky III? Well, it’s all real – it’s the Italian Stallion Rocky Balboa Harley Davidson motorcycle. And it can cost upwards of $250,000 today. Why are we mentioning it? Because the original Rocky, meaning Sly, has one.

Much like being a car collector, Stallone also loves his motorcycles. And he has quite the habit of picking up a little memento from his movies, especially if they come with wheels. And by little, well, we mean a lot considering none of these beauties must have come cheap. In black and yellow, this one is as beauteous as they come.

I Have Money, I'll Just Buy My Own Statue

There’s a Rocky statue in Rocky III – and much like the Rocky Balboa special edition Harley Davidson motorcycle that Sly later picked up and added to his collection, the statue found a home with him too. The real statue was left by Stallone to the Philadelphia Art Museum though many contended that it wasn’t art.

It may have been moved here, there and everywhere but still stands near this museum. And then Sly decided to commission a replica of the same for a whopping $400,000 – as we said, have money, can and will buy his statue because there is thunder in his heart.

A Black Ferrari 612 Scaglietti, And A Red 599 GTB

With a need for speed in his veins, Stallone also owns a Ferrari. And his is a Black 612 Scaglietti with a 6.0-liter V12 engine that can take it 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds, at top speeds of 199mph. Sly loves his cars pricey and fast. Though technically, most pricey cars are fast as well.

He owns another Ferrari too – a 599 GTB, and this one is as red as a Ferrari can get. The Scaglietti was a limited run of 3,025 cars and in 2008, automatic versions of these were recalled to fix a clutch malfunction. Goes to say that even the greats can have recall problems, and we wonder how Sly reacted to this…

Pooch Sold, And Then Bought Back

What is expensive for one man, can be pocket change for the other. The price factor of anything depends upon how deep or shallow your pockets are. While he was struggling in his early days, Stallone had the Rocky script with him, but no buyer for it.

Not even having enough money to put food on the table, Sly had to sell his beloved pooch Butkus for $50 to someone he later put in his Rocky movie as well. He managed to sell the script just a week later and bought Butkus back, but this time for $3k. For someone not making enough money to even eat properly, $3,000 was quite the princely amount.

Feng Shuis His Homes To The Max

Sly usually plays tough-as-nails characters onscreen, with a hint of vulnerability about them. And for him, and his movies, this works. According to John Reef, in charge of listing Sly’s Beverly Hill home up for sale (for some $3.9mil), Sly loves to Feng Shui the places he lives in.

And Feng Shui, as we all know, is as inexplicable and unproven (at least to the critics) as it is phenomenally expensive. So if Sly did up all his residences to shower good luck on him and his family, well, we hope he spared some of that good luck to his bank balance as well. White rhino pieces and functional crystal balls do not come cheap, do they?

The Hendrick Camaro SS: As Customized As It Can Get

In 2010, Stallone also got his hands on a special Camaro – part of the limited edition Hendrick Motorsports 25th Anniversary 2010 Camaro SS vehicles. In a beautiful silver-gray, this Camaro locks a top speed of 120mph with a 0-60mph run of 3.9 seconds. There is a video of Jason Statham and Sylvester Stallone discussing the car, with Stallone playing quite the proud parent as he preens in front of his snazzy Camaro.

But then Sly is quite the automobile aficionado – having a custom-painted Ford Mustang, a 1946 Hot Rod and many other cars as well, like Rolls Royce and Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon. When you have hundreds of millions in the bank, hundreds of thousands must seem like spare change.
