Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo are engaged! The former Miss Universe announced the news on her Instagram with a slideshow of images featuring the NFL player proposing.

“We tried to keep this quiet for as long as possible but apparently word travels fast. I’m marrying my best friend. I love you so much, fiancé,” she captioned the post, adding their engagement date, “4.2.23.”

Olivia’s ring was designed by her fiancé, Christian, who worked with Ring Concierge to create the custom diamond.

"We worked with Christian to thoughtfully design a ring that encompassed Olivia's trendsetting style while still remaining timeless — a beautifully cut Oval flanked with Epaulette side stones in a handcrafted gold and platinum setting," Nicole Wegman, CEO of Ring Concierge, said.

As of now, it’s unclear how much Christian spent on the diamond ring, but estimates suggest it’s likely worth hundreds of thousands.

Jessica Flinn-Allen, the CEO of wedding and engagement ring specialists Jessica Flinn, says the ring could be easily worth over half a million.

“Olivia Culpo’s ring is a large, brilliant-cut oval 8ct centre stone diamond ring accompanied with Cadillac or Epaulette diamond side stones in a trilogy design set in platinum, we predict the value up to around £500,000 ($621,049 USD),” the ring expert explained.

As for the style of the ring, Jessica added, "The oval cut has become increasingly popular since 2022 and is sticking around in 2023! The uniquely shaped side stones in this design give a modern twist to a traditional trilogy-style setting.”

Christian and Olivia have been going strong for four years. They were first linked in May 2019 when fans began noticing they were interacting on social media.

However, Christian wasn’t the first guy Olivia saw herself marrying. Last year, the reality star made headlines for admitting she was once convinced she’d end up with Nick Jonas. "I did date Nick. That was a very formative experience," Olivia said on her realit show The Culpo Sisters. "I had no brand, no money, and I was in love.”

Even more, Olivia said Nick helped her out financially during their relationship, which lasted from 2013 to 2015, and that she was “broke” when he called off their relationship. "But when he broke up with me, I was kind of left with no sense of identity,” she explained. “My whole identity was in him, which is a very common story of a young person in love.”

"I just remember night after night, looking up at my ceiling in my apartment that I couldn’t afford, thinking to myself, ‘How am I going to pay my rent?’" Olivia added.
