Roman Abramovich is a prominent Russian businessman who currently has a net worth of around $13.8 billion. He currently owns a number of high-value properties around the world including a $19 million mansion on 420 acres of land in England, a $36.4 million mansion in Colorado and even a $90 million private property on the Caribbean island of St. Barths. He has become a collector of high-value properties and now he's looking to get into New York.
Abramovich is looking to buy the townhouse at 828 5th Avenue in New York. Located right near the southeastern end of Central Park, it costs $38,000 each month to maintain this property with a total of twenty-two rooms with a gym, library and private rotunda. This is expected to sell for $75 million, thus becoming New York's most-expensive co-op in history. It will break the old record from another co-op just a few blocks down on 5th Avenue by about $20 million. This should make for a strong transaction worth taking a look at in the field of New York real estate.
