Jaguar recently revealed information on its plans for a new crossover, the Jaguar C-X17. This is a 4x4 Jaguar that is different from other Jaguar models as it is the one that will bring Jaguar into the SUV market.
The Jaguar C-X17 comes with an Interactive Surface Console touch screen. It has a number of appealing screens that are connected to each other and linked through a Wi-Fi connection. It even comes with a link to social media networks and can be moved from the front row of the vehicle to the back as needed.
The inside of the roof has a few vanes that can allow daylight to get into the cabin without being too extreme. It also comes with an artificial lighting system.
The outside of the Jaguar C-X17 is 4.7m long and about 1.63m in height while coated in a "Caesium" cobalt blue paint cover. The glass is slim and short in height and there's a bit of a rise right over the back to create some unique arches.
This creates a bit of a unique appeal. The alloy wheels are also about 23 inches in diameter. It all comes with a grille that's similar to what most other Jaguar models have already.
Not much is known about the engine for the Jaguar C-X17 but it is expected to work with about 100g/km of CO2 emissions, thus making it suitable for the road. The biggest part of this vehicle is that it will have a powerful work system that makes it go fast.
The engine can propel the vehicle to speeds of up to 300 km/h. This is thanks to the Intelligent Aluminum Architecture that is reported to help link the vehicle's suspension and chassis together among other things. This new system is also known as iQ[AI] according to Jaguar's marketing campaign.
There is no specific standard with regards to how much money this SUV concept vehicle will cost. It's expected that it will be close to $51,000 in value but there is no confirmation just yet.
This is estimated to compete with the BMW 3 series and the Audi A4. It will more than likely be released in the later part of 2014.
