Bloodhound SSC The World’s Fastest Car In Production

Twelve years since Andy Green OBE and Thrust SSC scythed through the sound barrier on their way to the current World Land Speed Record of 763.053 mph, Green and former record-holder, Richard Noble OBE, are preparing to write the latest chapter in the history of World Land Speed Record attempts, with a 1,000mph bid.

Like a rocket and is supposed to be doing just that, speed off like a rocket – aimed at being the fastest car in the world. The Bloodhound SSC project will go up to 1,000 mph breaking all land speed records. British companies Advanced Compsites Group, Cosworth and Hampson Industries will begin construction of this car which is six tonnes, 42-foot long, with 135,000 horsepower and will be propelled by a Eurofighter-Typhoon jet engine and a Falcon rocket. It will go from zero to 1,000mph in 45 second and will be piloted by Bloodhound in South Africa by Royal Air Force Wing Commander Andy green.
