A$AP Rocky is always dropping references to designers and luxury brands in his songs. Cardi B didn't hold back when detailing which Balenciaga sneakers she loves. "Break records at Louis, ate breakfast at Gucci." Kanye West may be running the Yeezy empire, but the guy starts out in Italy. This time 10 years ago, the hip-hop world was rapping about underground life in the hood. In 2018? It's more like dropping mentions of designer hoodies. The mass overtake of fashion mentions in hip-hop has become so huge, GQ even wrote an entire article statistically breaking down which designers are mentioned the most. Take any track from Nicki Minaj, Drake, Lil Wayne, or Cardi B. You'll spot the Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Fendi within 30 seconds.

Where do the Kardashians come in? Put it this way– which designers the Kardashians are wearing is such a hot topic, entire social media accounts exist to update millions of followers with live updates on the #KardashianCloset. Within hours, fashionistas will have broken down exactly what the Kardashians are wearing, what it costs, and where we can get it. By the time we've reached the designer or store's website though, the items will be sold out. Why? The minute a Kardashian wears something, it goes from "vaguely appealing" to "must-have." The world's most luxurious brands are now endorsed by both the Kardashians and the hip-hop world. What more could these designers ask for? Here are 25 of them.

GUCCI IS THE MOST MENTIONED DESIGNER IN HIP-HOP HISTORY

And yes, that's a statistic. GQ broke down the number of designer mentions per song over the past 15 years, and Gucci came out on top. You're probably curious which designers came next, but you probably won't be surprised. Versace came in at a close second, followed by Prada, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, and Fendi. The rapper, Gucci Mane? That's an extra level of dedication. In his "Clique" track, Kanye West "ate breakfast at Gucci." Tyga "spent 10 bands at Gucci." Even the great Jay Z "liked they shoes Gucci."

KANYE WEST'S LYRICS MENTION LOUIS VUITTON 19 SEPARATE TIMES

Remember Kanye West's "Gold Digger" track? Back in 2005, Kanye's Louis Vuitton mentions were just beginning. Fresher on our minds might be "Stronger," where the lyrics are: "Cause it's Louis Vuitton Don night. So we gonna do everything that Kan like." In 2009, Ciara told us to "see the Louis Vuitton." In 2013, it was 50 Cent. In 2016, it was The Weeknd. You might not be seeing the iconic monogram in this pic, but the Kardashians were dressed head-to-toe in LV at the brand's 2018 fashion show in Paris.

NICKI MINAJ GIVES FENDI THE THUMBS-UP

You don't even need to listen to Nicki Minaj to know that she adores Fendi. Why? She's wearing a Fendi logo shirt on the cover of her "Chun Li" track. Consider that the introduction. "Bentley tints on, Fendi prints on" is the hook, but this brand has been getting the celeb shout-out for years. In 2005, Missy Elliott mentioned Fendi. In 2010, it was Lil Wayne. Cardi B and Prince also join the club.

"Bentley tints on, Fendi prints on." Nicki Minaj and Kim K have a lot in common.

PRADA IS SO LIT RIGHT NOW

Over in Paris, the Prada boutique is still a stuffy, old-school affair. The Italian designer has a discreet boutique front and a steady flow of high-budget clients. Over in the hip-hop world, you shout Prada's name. The Dream, Gucci Mane, Cardi B, Kreayshawn, and Jennifer Lopez are doing just that. Well, for JLO, it was "Cartier bracelet with my Prada bag." Kendall Jenner recently updated her Instagram to show us these Prada shoes. She and her entire family basically own the Prada luggage line.

RAPPERS SURE HAVE GIVENCHY IN THEIR VOCABULARY

Givenchy is the 8th most-mentioned designer in rap history. The French luxury designer has shot to the top ranks in recent years, with an explosion of celebs wearing Givenchy dresses (to accompany their Givenchy purses). A canvas Givenchy backpack costs over $1000. In 2016, 2 Chainz took to his lyrics to "Rock Givenchy shoes like they All-Star." Pusha T was doing similar in 2011. Eve and Gucci Mane join them in celebrating their love for Givenchy, and so does Kylie Jenner here.

CARDI B IS GIVING BALENCIAGA MAJOR LOVE

Cardi B hasn't been in the hip-hop scene all that long, but this artist is huge. She wasted no time telling us what she loves in her "I Like It" song. What does Cardi B love? "Those Balenciagas that look like socks." Don't think that she's alone, though. 2 Chainz had "balance and those Balenciagas" in 2013, and Young Money had similar in 2009. The luxury Spanish fashion and accessories brand made headlines in 2018 for channeling the Vogue-approved "ugly sneaker" trend. Kim K is wearing them here.

NIKE IS THE MOST MENTIONED SNEAKER NAME IN RAP

Take Eminem. He isn't one to throw out any old name. The rapper focuses on his intense personal emotions and digs at other celebrities over dropping luxury brands, so don't expect a future album sponsored by Versace. Eminem did, however, give Nike a shout-out in his "Berzerk" track. Joining others, he makes Nike the most mentioned sneaker name in rap history, according to Complex.

"Guess it's just the way that I'm dressed, ain't it? Khakis pressed, Nike shoes crispy and fresh laced," Eminem rapped in his song, "Berzerk."

DRAKE AND BEYONCE DROP HERMÈS NAMES

"Hermès link, ice blue mink." If Drake has an opinion on a brand, it's worth listening to. Hermès is arguably the most luxurious of all the French high fashion brands. While other designers have purses for two or three thousand dollars, a Hermès Birkin bag retails for a starting price of $12,000. The Daily Mail reported that Kim gave North West a $50,000 model "just to paint." Khloe has a crocodile skin model worth $185,000. DJ Khaled, Tyga, Wiz Khalifa, and Beyonce have all mentioned Hermès in their lyrics.

FRESH AS A CORE IN THEIR CHRISTIAN DIOR

You know that a brand is huge when nobody needs to use the designer's first name anymore. Christian Dior has simply become Dior, but there's nothing basic about this luxury French designer. Ultra-exclusive with its custom-made gowns and $4000 handbags, it's not surprising that the hip-hop world is just like Kendall – totally loving Dior. The Game specified "lots of Dior" in 2011. In 2013, A$AP Rocky rapped: "I adore you Dior." Obie Trice? "Fresh as a core in my Christian Diors."

ALL THOSE DOLCE & GABBANA MENTIONS

Throwing in two brands into one line, A$AP Rocky gets us off to a good start with: "She got a lotta Prada, that Dolce & Gabbana." The luxury Italian brand isn't just all over the Kardashians. It's all over hip-hop. Way back in 2008, Usher was listing the Italian designer duo in "Here I Stand." That same year, Flo Rida gave D&G the nod in "Mail on Sunday." From Future and The Black Eyed Peas to Chris Brown and Kendrick Lamar, it's official. Hip-hop loves Dolce & Gabbana.

LIL WAYNE HAS A CHANEL CHAIN (ON TOP OF HIS CHANEL CHAIN)

And he isn't the only one. The French designer is splattered across the board when it comes to hip-hop mentions. You'll also find the name beyond the hip-hop realms. Katy Perry's Prism album mentioned Chanel. Way back in 1994, ZZ Top was reminding us that "some girls get Chanel." A quilted Chanel purse is a fashionista's must-have, and that $1 million purse closet that The Daily Mail saw Kylie showcase definitely had a lot of Chanel. Pusha T and Snoop Dogg also mention Chanel.

RAP MAY AS WELL BE SPONSORED BY VERSACE

Only out-done by Gucci, Versace is the second most-mentioned designer in the history of hip-hop. When GQ covered the stats, the magazine had to specify that multiple mentions of one brand don't count (sorry, Migos). Donatella Versace is running the kind of empire that finds its way straight into Kylie Jenner's 2017 Met Gala choice, and that's just the start. The entire Kardashian clan are dripping in Versace, as is hip-hop. That's Drake, TLC, T.I., Ice Cube, Timbaland, and R. Kelly.

"I park my Bentley truck on my Versace driveway," rapped Cardi B in "Money Bag."

KANYE ISN'T THE ONLY ONE MENTIONING YEEZY

Given that Kanye West is the founder of the Yeezy brand, it isn't surprising that the majority of Yeezy mentions in hip-hop come from the man himself. Don't think that the other artists aren't mentioning Yeezy, though. In 2012, The Game mentioned "them Yeezy drop." One year earlier, Jay Z was mentioning Yeezy in "Watch The Throne." Just last year, Blackbear told us: "If you rock Yeezys then we can't be friends." The celebs disagree. Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, and all the Kardashians are huge Yeezy fans.

BEYONCE AND JAY Z FELL IN LOVE OVER BURBERRY

With their three kids and their 10-year wedding anniversary, Beyonce and Jay Z have become literal #MarriageGoals. Take a look back though, and you'll remember the "'03 Bonnie & Clyde" track from Beyonce's Dangerously in Love album. These two were falling for each other in 2003. The lyrics? "The only time you wear Burberry to swim." Gucci Mane and Nicki Minaj join them in the Burberry love.

"The only time you wear Burberry to swim," Jay Z rapped in "03 Bonnie & Clyde." He was loving this woman – with or without the Burberry.

THE VICTORIA'S SECRET REFERENCES FROM RIHANNA

There isn't a brand that the Kardashian-Jenner clan doesn't have covered. Kendall Jenner joined the Victoria's Secret angels quite a few years back. She is photographed hitting the after-show burger joints as much as she is walking the runway. Rihanna isn't the biggest name dropper, but she did say: "Parties getting risky, Victoria's Secret show, they miss me" back in 2012. Wu-Tang Clan, Jay Z, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, and Raekwon have all given the undergarments giant a little mention over the years.

IGGY AZALEA HAD LOTS TO SAY ABOUT CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN

Ah, the red-soled Christian Louboutin shoe. It's the footwear status symbol that any celebrity steps into the minute they get famous. Iggy Azalea was definitely witty about everyone's love for Louboutins in her "Work" track. In 2018, Kylie Jenner posed for her Forbes "Youngest Self-Made Billionaire cover" in a pair of Christian Louboutins. Five years earlier, Kanye West had "Louboutin on the toes again." Even Lady Gaga has mentioned them. The red-soled shoes retail for well over $1000.

HIP-HOP'S ELITE GIVE MAISON MARGIELA BIG PROPS

The hip-hop world might drop names like Prada and Fendi as its regulars, but don't think that these artists don't know their designers inside out. Maison Margiela might not be a name you recognize, but the French brand was responsible for the entire Kanye Wardrobe for the Yeezus tour. Kim's KKW Beauty campaigns are wearing Maison Margiela tanks. The lyrics? "What's that jacket, Margiela?" That was Kanye and Jay-Z. A$AP Ferg, Ciara, Pharell, and Migos are all mentioning Maison Margiela.

BRUNO MARS GOT "CHUCKS ON WITH SAINT LAURENT"

Bruno Mars remains one of the biggest artists around. His pop tracks blend hip-hop beats for a unique finish, but don't think that Bruno isn't mentioning the designers. "Uptown Funk" was a huge hit that told us as it is. In 2018, Migos joined in with having "Saint Laurent on both my feet." So did Cardi B, with that "Saint Laurent jacket."

"Stylin', wilin', livin' it up in the city, got Chucks on with Saint Laurent, Got kiss myself, I'm so pretty," sang  Bruno Mars.

THE HIP-HOP WORLD WORSHIPS ADIDAS

The hip-hop world might love its luxury, but there's something else it loves– sports. These are artists who grew up on the hip-hop culture of athletic clothing and footwear. Their favorite hangout spots? NBA games. Half of the women in hip-hop are dating basketball players. The Daily Mail just announced that Iggy Azalea is dating the NFL player deAndre Hopkins. Adidas has been receiving mentions since the '80s. More recently, though, The Game, Travis Scott, Young Thug, and Kanye West have all mentioned Adidas.

TOM FORD IS LITERALLY JAY Z'S HOLY GRAIL

Jay Z doesn't just rap about anyone. In 2013, the entire hook to "Magna Carta Holy Grail" was Tom Ford's name – three times. After being creative director at both Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, the American designer launched his own fashion brand in 2006. Tom Ford has featured in endless Kardashian looks (and endless hip-hop lyrics). Future has "every shade of Tom Ford." The Game "run to Tom Ford." 2 Chainz asks "Where's the Tom Ford?" You getting our drift?

RAPPERS LEARNED HOW TO PRONOUNCE BALMAIN

From someone who is a native French speaker, you get cut some slack. Those French names are impossible to pronounce. Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Yves Saint Laurent... Is Chanel the only easy one to pronounce? Quite possibly. Balmain is known for its iconic boxy shoulder dresses and glitter fabrics, and it was Kim and Kanye's choice for the 2016 Met Gala. Rich the Kid, A$AP Rocky, and Yo Gotti "in my Balmains" have all mentioned the brand.

"In Spain wearing that Balmain," Iggy Azalea rapped. But she isn't pronouncing it right, though.

HIP-HOP WILL ALWAYS HAVE ROOM FOR ROLEX

Another day, another Rolex, right? The world's most famous brand of luxury watches isn't just a favorite with the Kardashian-Jenner clan. The timepieces that can cost $400,000 are adored by the hip-hop world. Consider a Rolex watch the rapper equivalent of a designer purse. Rolex even got shortened to "Roley" with Jay Z. "Rolex don't tick tock" was Iggy Azalea's line in her Reclassified album. From Wiz Khalifa and 2 Chainz to The Notorious B.I.G., Rolex is a brand that's getting mentioned.

HIP-HOP POWER COUPLES ARE DIGGING MANOLO BLAHNIK

Diamonds aren't a girl's best friend. Shoes are. The Kardashian shoe closets are enough to make any girl pass out from envy, and you'll see all the big brands. One brand has stayed at the forefront of luxury footwear, though. Manolo Blahnik was where Carrie from SATC would go to cheer herself up. The power couple mentioning Manolos over and over? Beyonce and Jay Z. "Manolo Blahnik, Timbs, aviator lens" were the "03 Bonnie & Clyde" lyrics.

RAPPERS ARE PART OF THE #WANGGANG

Alexander Wang is the super-hip, super-young US designer that is blowing fashion heavyweights out the water. With Kylie Jenner wearing two separate Alexander Wang outfits in the space of a few weeks (and taking to social media to show her #WangGang membership), it's official. This guy is "in." Lil Uzi Vert was rapping about Wang in 2015. Kanye West was doing it two years earlier. "Her jeans is Helmut Lang, shoes is Alexander Wang" is straight from A$AP Rocky.

90'S HIP-HOP WAS ALL ABOUT THE DKNY

DKNY was once a hip-hop fave, and little Kylie Jenner is barely old enough to remember it. DKNY stands for Donna Karan New York. The brand was huge in the '90s, although Kourtney Kardashian has been spotted in head-to-toe DKNY sweats more recently. This is going way back, but the hip-hop references include Redman's "Mad DKNY," plus Three 6 Mafia, Cam'ron, and The Notorious B.I.G.

Kylie isn't old enough to remember Will Smith's "DKNY all up in my eye."

Who knew hip-hop had this many brands in their lyrics? And the Kardashians are backing each and every one up. For any Drake, Nicki Minaj, Kardashians, and hip-hop lover you know (who needs a lesson in fashion), hit share on Facebook.
