25 Crazy Celeb Cars That Normal People Could Never Afford (And Their Worth)

For most of us who are middle class, or who don't make millions or even six figures, a $30-$40,000 car is affordable but still a luxury after you factor in your mortgage or rental payments, credit cards and various utility bills.  But for celebrities--actors, musicians, for example--who are worth millions and close to the billions, they don't think twice about dropping $700K for a Porsche, as Jerry Seinfeld did, or another $700K for a Ferrari Enzo, as washed-up actor Nicolas Cage did. But if you think that's bad, how about paying $1.7 Mill or more on a Bugatti Veyron? For celebs and A-listers, this is pocket change, which is why its "affordable price" makes it the most popular and luxurious speedster for the elite. Those who own the Veyron include Jay Z,  Tom Cruise, Tom Brady, Jay Leno, Ralph Lauren, Floyd Mayweather and many more.

In the world of show business, the luxury car is a must. It shows the world that you've made it. But not for the most famous boxer in history, Floyd Mayweather, who enjoys spending his mega millions on cars. The Chiron, first produced in 2016, is an upgrade of the Veyron (another car celebs love). Before it was released, only the most exclusive Veyron owners were contacted and given the option to upgrade. 9 Ferrari Enzo:  $670,000

Royal Fashionist

The Enzo Ferrari has a curious history. The sports car company gave His Holiness Pope John Paul II the Ferrari. Auctioned by RM in 2005, it sold for $6,050,000 and the pope wanted it to go on auction to give the money to the victims of a tsunami that had ravaged Southeast Asia. As a result, all sale funds were donated for charity. Troubled actor Nicolas Cage--he's high in debt and hasn't made a successful movie in a while--also owns the bright red Enzo, but it was an early version, so it cost him $670,000.

8 The Jay-Z and Beyonce Car Collection: $15 Million

dcarnivalbaby

Apparently, it's not enough for Jay-Z to have a Maybach Exelero (see above) worth $8 mill. Both he and his ultra-famous wife Beyonce have spent around $15 million on supercars. These include the Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet, the Ferrari F430 Spider, the Rolls-Royce Phantom,  the Bugatti Veyron (a $1.8 mill gift from Beyonce to her husband), the Maybach 62S and a Jeep Wrangler. We wonder what the Wrangler is for. Do they use that car when they want to look poor?

7 Bentley GT Continental: $285,000

Paris Hilton has 2 cars. Her Lexus LFA was a gift to her from her then-boyfriend Cy Waits for her 30th birthday. That's a $375,000 present, plus you need to get that big red ribbon on the car! She bought herself her second car, the Bentley GT Continental for around $285,000. The Bentley is stately. But the car tuners at West Coast Customs painted the car entirely pink, with pink details inside customized to fit her lifestyle, so now it's just like Pepto Bismol.

carsinvasion.com

Sure 50 Cent kind of fell off any of the hot lists ranking celebs and musicians, but he's still driving in style. He bought a Lamborghini Murcielago for $300,000 in 2005 to celebrate the release of his second album The Massacre. But we think he should make up his mind and save money at the same time. See Fiddy, New York's most famous rapper, bought the Lambo in charcoal grey, but he didn't like that color and had the car repainted in chrome before settling on metallic blue. (Source: AutoSaur)

3 Golden Bugatti Veyron: $1.7 Mill

WrapChannel.com

Okay, so the Bugatti Veyron, if you haven't yet guessed already, is THE car that most celebs and musicians buy for themselves. But who wants to drive one when you're parking and there's another Bugatti there! Like 50 Cents, Flo Rida got bored with his  $1.7 million and really wanted it to look custom-made. That way, his Bugatti would be a limited-edition. The car was painted white when Flo Rida bought it and then had it finished in chrome. And then, like Paris Hilton, he ruined his car when he had the car finished in gold chrome.  Then, to make everything match, he installed a set of gold-plated wheels from Forgiato. In 2014, the car was sold for $38.1 million at auction, around double the price of the 1963 version. Mason enjoys driving luxury cars, particularly when he can drive fast while racing it. He uses the GTO, as well as his other Ferraris, rather than stowing it away in his garage. (Source: AutoWeek)

Pinterest

One of the fastest cars of all time, and featuring a powerful twin-turbo V8 engine, Tyler put it up for auction where it sold for only $800,000. But while the price was significantly lower than the purchase price, the sale was made to raise cash for Tyler's Janie's Fund, "a resource for girls who have faced abuse and need a place to turn to for help." Now that's something we can cheer about. And no, we can't afford this car either. (Source: MotorTrend)
