American country pop singer. She began songwriting as a child and signed with Black River Entertainment in 2014, releasing her debut studio album the following year, The First Time Kelsea Ballerini, Country music queen Kacey Musgraves has galloped her “High Horse” out of this Nashville estate for the very last time. Though it was never publicly marketed for sale, grant deeds reveal the pretty house has just sold for about $2.5 million, a notable jump over the $1.9 million Musgraves paid designer Louisa Pierce for the place two years ago. As it turns out, the home’s latest owner is also a celebrity: fellow country singer Kelsea Ballerini.

Built in 2012 per tax records, the neoclassical structure offers four bedrooms and three baths in 3,500 square feet. The wooded lot shrouds the residence in a forest of greenery, and the home lies at the end of a very long driveway, ideal for celebrity-style privacy.

According to Dirt, Pierce, one-half of the nationally successful Pierce & Ward interior design firm, unsurprisingly gave the house a very glam and eclectically maximalist makeover during her ownership. But Musgraves, who bought the place immediately following her divorce from ex-husband Ruston Kelly, wanted something more soothingly calm.

With the aid of interior designer Lindsay Rhodes, the house was soon transformed into a countryside, minimalist haven. The entire kitchen was “blanked with plaster,” recalls Rhodes, and nearly every room was doused in various neutral paint colors from Farrow & Ball. Exceptions include the music room, which is wrapped in a dusky pink color, and the dining area sports walls a deliciously pale shade of yellow. The resulting product was photographed, in all its glossy glory, for a 2022 issue of Architectural Digest.

Other property highlights include a light-flooded “art room,” white oak hardwood floors, grassy lawns shaded by abundant mature trees, a saltwater pool with inset spa, a detached guesthouse and al fresco dining patios.

Ballerini, who finalized her divorce from Morgan Evans earlier this month, is still in the process of selling her previous home — a farmhouse-style Nashville residence that was also recently renovated by Lindsay Rhodes, albeit in a more maximalist vein. As for Musgraves, it’s not yet clear where the real estate rodeo has taken the 34-year-old and her horse, but the Texas native reportedly plans to stay in the Nashville area.
