After reconstructing and adding their personal touch to the residence, Chris Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger moved into their gorgeous ’ $15 million mansion in 2021.

Chris Pratt was first discovered by Rae Dawn Chong when he was waiting tables at Bubba Gump Shrimp in Maui at the age of 19. After starring in a few minor TV roles and movie appearances, his big break came in 2009 when he was cast as Andy in the popular NBC comedy sitcom Parks and Recreation. Pratt went on to star in hit movies such as Jurassic World and The Guardians Of The Galaxy series. The actor has amassed an $80 million fortune and loves to spend money buying lavish gifts and luxury properties. His newest real estate purchase is a $15 million mansion in the high-end Pacific Palisades neighborhood.

From buying a vintage property to constructing it for two years, Chris Pratt and his wife put a lot of detailing and love into creating their dream home for the family and their daughter. A home best suited for luxury, let’s take a look inside Chris Pratt’s mansion.

Building From Scratch

Located in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood in Los Angeles, the home is located in a family-friendly Marquez Knolls Area that comes with a gated community with only five neighboring houses, none of them owned by celebrities. Chris Pratt acquired the house under the radar, and not much was known until October 2019, but the records reveal that the transaction took place a year ago in 2018, as noted by The Richest. The off-market deal didn’t catch anyone’s attention since the home was not listed for sale publicly. The property was sold to Pratt by Palisades Funding’s Patrick McKenna, a local investor.

Offering great views of Catalina Island and the Pacific Ocean, the home was originally built in 1995. It was constructed as a Mediterranean-style home and spanned across 8,000 sq. ft. of living space. The aerial pictures showed that the home had a grassy backyard but no pool. The traditional home was gutted, so Pratt and his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger decided to build theirs right from scratch. It might seem odd that the celebrity couple would buy an unfinished home; however, it allows the couple to custom finish the home and put a personal touch on their dream home.

Customized To Perfection

While the unfinished home already had a structure for the exterior, the couple added their renovations to it. They were regularly spotted visiting the construction during 2019 and 2020 while the home was getting built. The construction was completed in January 2021, and they moved into their new home with their daughter Lyla, as stated by Hola.

The traditional structure spanned 8,000 sq. ft. of living space; however, the home was expanded to 10,000 sq. ft. to accommodate every amenity required by the couple. The renovated home comes with five bedrooms and six bathrooms, a wine cellar, a Chef’s kitchen with top-end appliances, a home gym where Pratt works out and posts his snaps on Instagram, and a multi-car garage. Their car collection includes a Ford F-150 Raptor, Toyota FJ Cruiser, Tesla Model X, Triumph Scrambler, and Volva XC60.

The early aerial shots showed that the couple had begun constructing a swimming pool and a pool house rather than keeping a grassed backyard. As mentioned by Daily Mail, the home now has an infinity-edged swimming pool next to an outdoor seating area. The small gated community offers the recluse and privacy the couple needs to spend time as a family.

Keeping The Family Close

One of the reasons Pratt chose the hillside lot was his nine-year-old son, Jack. The new home is only 2 miles from his ex-wife Anna Farris’ $4.9 million sustainable Palisades property that she purchased in 2019. According to Yahoo, as per the former couple’s divorce stipulation, they are supposed to live within five miles of each other, keeping their young son in mind.

Pratt loves to spend time with his family when he has the time of his busy schedule. When the actor is not living in Los Angeles, he is a rancher on the San Juan Island in Washington State. The actor loves to take his children and wife to the farm, raising chickens, sheep, and other livestock. The island has become a popular getaway for many famous personalities, such as Bill Gates and Steve Miller, who also own properties on the island. While their new marital home was under construction for two years, they lived in Schwarzenegger’s $3.5 million Mediterranean-style home in Santa Monica.

A family home equipped with luxurious amenities, Chris Pratt’s $15 million home is a cozy yet elegant abode. Built with a personal touch, the couple spent a few additional millions when designing the half-constructed home. The star is currently filming TV shows and movies worldwide and has a long list of releases waiting for the next two years. Pratt is set to star in Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 3, Jurassic World: Dominion, Mario Film, and Thor: Love And Thunder.
