South African-American actress and producer. One of the world's highest-paid actresses, she is the recipient of various accolades, including an Academy Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and a Golden Globe Award, Charlize Theron is letting go of the delightful little Spanish-style “casita” she owns in the Beverly Grove area of Los Angeles, according to Dirt. Theron, one of a slew of high-profile Hollywood names like Kerry Washington and Michelle Yeoh starring in the new Netflix movie The School for Good and Evil, purchased the 1,539 square-foot home way back in 2000 for around $1.5 million. It is listed for $1.995 million.

Though that’s around $517,000 more than she paid for the house over two decades ago, back in spring 2000, Theron has updated the place during her tenure. Described in the listing as a “super light and charming casita,” the 1920s house features two bedrooms and a matching number of baths in just over 1,500 square feet of single-level living space boasting wide arched doorways and light hardwood floors throughout.

Gates and high hedges front the white stucco and terracotta-roof structure, which is highlighted by a private courtyard ideal for relaxing. Once inside, a spacious light-filled living room adorned with a wood-burning fireplace connects via steps to the dining room, which sits adjacent to an eat-in kitchen outfitted with white cabinetry, a subway-tile backsplash, an apron sink and high-end stainless appliances, per Dirt.

One of the bedrooms has a small bath, while the other is accessible to a large hallway bath equipped with a combination tub and shower, and both have their own entrances. Elsewhere is a bonus room with French doors that could easily serve as an office or gym, plus a secluded backyard hosting a lengthy lap pool flanked by a grassy lawn. There’s also a detached two-car garage.

A native of South Africa, the 47-year-old actress first gained notoriety after appearing in the films “The Devil’s Advocate,” “Mighty Joe Young” and “The Cider House Rules,” and went on to win an Academy Award for her portrayal as serial killer Aileen Wuornos in “Monster.” Theron has since appeared in numerous movies and TV series, including “North Country,” “Tully,” “Bombshell,” “The Italian Job” and “Atomic Blonde.” Under Denver and Delilah Productions, she’s also produced “The Burning Plain,” “Dark Places” and “Long Shot.”
