Britney Spears is already moving out of her Calabasas mansion after living in it for less than a year, and she’s selling it at a loss. According to PEOPLE, the singer has sold the mansion for $10 million, which is nearly $2 million less than what she paid for it in June.

Britney originally tried to get a higher price for the estate, as she listed it at $12 million in January (she originally bought it for 11.8 million). It’s unclear why she decided to sell it for significantly less, but TMZ previously reported she “just hasn't fallen in love with the new home.”

The home features over 11,650 square feet of living space and comes with a 1.6 acre lot.

When Britney bought the home – mere days after her wedding to Sam Asghari – a source told PEOPLE that she was in love with it.

"Britney loves her new house. She picked it out with Sam," the source shared. "She wanted a fresh start with Sam. It's been very important to her to have a home that she picked up without having to ask for approval from [dad Jamie Spears]."

Shortly after sealing the real estate deal, Britney wrote on Instagram, "Haven't been on my honeymoon yet … got married and moved into a new house around the same time … not the smartest thing to do […] oh well it's coming together,"

This isn’t the only property Britney put on the market recently. In September, she listed her Florida apartment for $2 million. The home comes with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, for a total of 2,500 square feet of living space.

Britney’s sister Jamie-Lynn Spears faced backlash in 2021 after she suggested the Florida condo was hers. "We have a condo in Destin, Florida, and it's the best getaway!" she wrote on social media in response to a fan’s question about her favorite vacation destination.

Court documents later proved that Britney owned the apartment, not Jamie-Lynn, who went on to address the criticism online.

"I don't own a condo, and I can assure you that no one has ever bought me a place at the beach, because I prefer my beach vacations at the Ritz anyway,” she wrote on Instagram. “Simple FACTS. Y'all need to stop reachin'."

It’s not clear if Britney is looking to buy property somewhere else. She also owns a mansion in Thousand Oaks, which she bought in 2015 for $7.5 million.
