The actor purchased the 18th-century home way back in 2001 from the Heinz family for $7 million.. The property has 25 rooms in total.
The Ocean’s Eleven actor reportedly purchased the adjacent villa called Villa Margherita to help secure his privacy and the privacy of everyone staying at the villa. The town of Laglio also welcomes Clooney and his family very dearly that in 2015, the mayor of Laglio decided to issue some restricting order to stop the fans, the paparazzi and the media for ever approaching the luxury property. The lawbreaker will be expected to pay a fine of $544 even if they are 100 meters away from the property. The individuals not related to Clooney or not invited to the villa should maintain a distance to make sure they will not face some trouble.

The three story luxury property boasts an incredible view of the Lake Como. One of its features that the sunset can be seen clearly inside the home. The residence of the Academy Award winner actor has a handful of amazing features including a beautiful balcony and some secluded outdoor patios. The actor and his wife also decided to construct a large wall on the outside of the property to keep the water out and avoid some flooding.
It also contains features which can be usually seen in some luxury mansions like tennis courts, pool, gym and garage where the actor reportedly stores some of his extensive collection of his vintage motorbikes. It was reported that he has since invested millions into making the massive property more suitable to their family. The luxurious villa is said to be the sleeping nest of Clooney at noon.

The family of George Clooney has been spending some time every summer at their villa in Como even before he got married to Amal. It has been their family tradition to just relaxed and enjoy each other’s company every year. It was also reported that they usually hosts some of their A-lister friends and prominent figures in the property including former president Barack Obama, Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Jennifer Aniston, and Matt Damon. Even the family of Amal has been spotted at the property and her father Ramzi Alamuddin even held his birthday at the luxury villa. It was reported though that he is selling the Lake Como house before the birth of his beloved twins however the reports were debunked and was claimed untrue since Clooney still owns the property even to this day.
In May 2021, the couple has even invited everyone to come hang out with them. The lovely couple decided to join the team of the charitable giving meets fundraising website called Omaze. They offered their abode to the people who want to take a vacation on Italy's stunning Lake Como.
