Basic Instinct star Sharon Stone is done with dating. During a virtual interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, the 62-year-old actress said she found people insincere and not worth her time. She added that she rather spend her time alone or with friends and family.

“I just feel like I don’t need another kid,” Stone told Barrymore. “I don’t want any insincerity and baloney and game playing. I just feel, like, that men that I’m meeting ― I have really good men friends, but I just feel when it comes to emotional maturity in relationships that men and women are seemingly in different spots.”

Stone has been married to journalist and editor Phil Bronstein and to author and producer Michael Greenburg. Both marriages ended in divorce. She has three adopted children, Roan Joseph Bronstein, Laird Vonne Stone, and Quinn Kelly Stone. Her first child was adopted while she was still married to Bronstein.

This isn’t the first time Stone has said that she’s given up on relationships. A couple of years ago, she told PEOPLE, “I think somewhere in the back of your mind you think maybe one day you won’t be a single parent. Then, eventually, you realize, I think it’s better. I’m no longer hoping for someone.”

Barrymore believes that not dating is a “phenomenon that keeps happening with women.” She recently had a similar discussion with Charlize Theron, who revealed that she hasn’t dated in five years. “I can honestly say this on my life, I don’t feel lonely. Once I had my children, it’s not that it replaces something or makes you less interested in something else,” Theron told Barrymore.

In 2018, Stone appeared in Steven Soderbergh's HBO murder mystery Mosaic, for which she received critical acclaim for her performance and won a Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She also stars as Lenore Osgood in the Netflix drama Ratched, which premiered on September 18, 2020. She currently has several projects that are pending release.
