Recently, Selena Gomez's mother, Mandy Teefey has spoken about her daughter's on-and-off relationship with her on-again-off-again (and currently off) boyfriend Justin Bieber.
Teefey was spotted attending a charity function and it was clear that she wasn't in the mood for Justin Bieber to be the topic of discussion. Seriously, can you even imagine how sick and tired you would be of hearing his name if you were Selena's mother? E! didn't beat around the bush when it came to trying to get to the bottom of the pop stars' current on/off status.
"You would know before I did," Teefey told the interviewer. "We don't talk about it." This makes sense, right? Most girls Gomez's age don't tell their mothers everything about their personal relationships. But we have a feeling that Gomez may also be slightly embarrassed about the rollercoaster relationship she and Bieber have front row seats for.

Teefy went on to say that when her daughter's relationship with Justin is on the "on" cycle it has caused "so much angst" and made her family "very sad." Teefey didn't elaborate on the specifics of what exactly causes angst and what exactly is saddening, but we had a pretty good idea of what this mama is referring to.
Pop star status or not, it's got to be disheartening to see your child go through so much turbulence in their personal life. Gomez has been on and off with Bieber for so many years and all of that heartbreak has to take its toll. The two recently rekindled after Gomez broke things off with The Weeknd, but it didn't take long for the two to call things off. Following that, Bieber was spotted out and about with a new woman.
If we had to wager a guess, we think we know what Teefey's motherly advice would be to her daughter but since she admitted they don't talk about it, she's probably keeping it all to herself and maybe releasing her tension on a dartboard with a photo of a certain pop star's face... just guessing.
