Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes, arguably one of the most low-key couples in Hollywood, have been checking out homes for their growing brood. So far, they have their eyes set on a six-bedroom mansion in San Merino, 10 miles northeast of downtown Los Angeles, which costs a mere $8 million.

According to Daily Mail, the couple, who met on the set of The Place Beyond the Pines in 2011. have two daughters aged two and three. Mendes, 44, and Gosling, 37, have kept their romance low-key, but they have not been shy about expressing their love during acceptance speeches.

When Gosling won the Best Actor Award for La La Land at the 2017 Golden Globes, he said, “I just would like to try and thank one person properly, and say that while I was singing and dancing and playing piano, and having one the best experiences I’ve ever had on a film, my lady was raising our daughter, pregnant with our second and trying to help her brother fight his battle with cancer. If she hadn’t taken all that on so that I could have this experience, would surely be someone else up here other than me to today."

Their potential future, built in 1924, is known as Villa Delle Favole. It features six bedrooms, five full, a guest house, gym, wine cellar, swimming pool, library, and spa. The mansion, currently occupied by reality TV producer Mark Cronin, was formerly the home of actress Jane Kaczmarek and Bradley Whitford.

Gosling will be next seen in First Man, based on the biography First Man: The Life of Neil A. Armstrong, which will be directed by La La Land director Damien Chazelle and released in October 2018. Mendes, meanwhile, has put her film career on hold to raise her two daughters. She is nonetheless a designer for New York & Company and the creative director of CIRCA Beauty, a makeup line sold at Walgreens.
