WWE Diva Nikki Bella has made her first public appearance since her breakup with John Cena, stepping out to enjoy some a bit of rosé with her twin sister Brie Bella at Nirvana Food & Wine’s Rosé Parté on Saturday.
What’s more, the Bella twin wasn’t wearing her engagement ring, which hardly comes as a surprise given the latest development between Cena and herself.
The pair called their wedding—an event set for early May—off, effectively bringing an end to a six-year relationship, which, for the keenest onlookers, was known to be a rocky one.
Nikki’s public appearance on Saturday was her only one since the split, and it also marked the first she was seen without her 4.5-carat diamond engagement ring. She was last seen wearing it on April 3, 2018, at the premiere of Cena's new film Blockers.
The sisters attended the event, held at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort in Scottsdale, Arozona, to launch Bella Radici, their very own brand of wine. They also played co-hosts alongside celebrity chef Todd English.
The Total Bellas star would later post a photo of herself, along with her sister and some friends, to Instagram. And she looked quite happy, even without the pricey glam on her finger.
“Sometimes you can’t explain what you see in wine. It’s just the way it takes you to a place where no one else can....” 🍷🥂🍾🍷🥂🍾🍷🥂🍾 Incredible time at @nirvanafoodandwine! So honored to have @belleradici featured at the Rosè Festival and host with the one and only @cheftoddenglish! @chefbeaumac you’re an amazing host and chef! @official.kurtrussell @gogiwines and all the amazing chefs put on such a wonderful dinner last night! Cena, who had proposed to Nikki during WrestleMania last year, posted a video to YouTube last April, revealing the ring’s significance.
"The ring represents our entire relationship up until this point. If you look at the stones on the side, there are four individual stones on each side. One side represents me and one side represents her and the four means the years we've been together to come to center point," he explained.
"The center point is a 4.5 carat round brilliant cut Tiffany diamond that represents the four and a half years we took to get right here. As with everything that we do for each other, there's always meaning behind it."
Despite their many issues, the couple’s split came as a shock to many. Per reports, it was the former Diva's Champion who pulled the plug on the relationship as she felt she was being pitied by Cena, who didn’t seem like he wanted to be there or meet her halfway.
As for the ring, though, she’s unlikely to ever wear it again and has probably even been returned to sender by now.
