In 2021, MTV will reboot MTV Cribs with guests like Caitlyn Jenner, JoJo Siwa, Kevin McHale and Stefflon Don. Last year, the show was adapted in the UK and this past summer, the franchise debuted MTV Cribs: Footballers Stay Home, filmed remotely during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The show, which takes viewers inside celebrity homes, first debuted in 2000 and ran for 13 seasons. By 2005, the show had toured the homes of 185 celebrities including Destiny’s Child, Snoop Dogg and Mariah Carey.

“As we spend more time at home this year, our fascination with where and how others live is growing. MTV Cribs continues to connect our worldwide audiences with their favorite stars as they welcome us into their homes for an exclusive tour. This is pure property porn escapism at its most fabulous,” said Craig Orr, vice president of original content at ViacomCBS.

MTV Cribs has also scheduled Selling Sunset’s Christine Quinn, The Vamps member Bradley Simpson, RuPaul’s Drag Race’s Alyssa Edwards and British reality star Gemma Collins.

At Jenner’s Malibu home, viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at the reality star’s wardrobe, including the outfit from her Vanity Fair cover debut. Meanwhile, Quinn will show off the tiger in her backyard at her Los Angeles mansion and Siwa will let viewers inside her home’s merchandise room.

“I’m pumped to bring MTV fans into the colorful world of JoJo — complete with my most memorable outfits and the slime game room of my dreams,” said Siwa.

“What a dream to be included in this iconic classic,” said Quinn. “As a top-selling broker I’m always spotlighting other people’s homes to the world, but now MTV International is giving you an exclusive look inside my newly redone home — and let’s get one thing clear — in my house, it’s my rules. Expect the unexpected.”

The show endured some controversy in its original run. In 2004, MTV was sued by the real owner of Ja Rule's house claiming the show had been taped without their authorization. They also sued the rapper for damage caused to the property by his partying. In addition, several stars, such as Robbie Williams and Kim Kardashian, showed off homes that were not theirs.
