Duchess Of Sussex Meghan Markle Wrote An Emotional Letter To Her Father Pleading For Him To Stop Media Communications

The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, recently wrote a plea to her father, Thomas Markle, with the hopes of encouraging him to stop communicating with the media.

Since her May 2018 wedding to Prince Harry, Markle's life has been a whirlwind of romantic bliss, some royal adjustments, important philanthropic projects and unfortunately for Megs, family issues. Her closest friends claim that her reason for distancing herself from the Markle side of the family, including her father and two half-siblings, is perfectly justifiable.

In fact, a group of five members of the Duchess' inner circle told People magazine that they are ready to “stand up against the global bullying we are seeing and speak the truth about a friend.”

People has withheld the identities of these friends at their request. All that we know is that one was Markle's former co-star.

“Meg has silently sat back and endured the lies and untruths,” the former costar said. "We worry about what this is doing to her and the baby. It’s wrong to put anyone under this level of emotional trauma, let alone when they’re pregnant."

One of the main misconceptions that her friends want cleared up ASAP is that Markle and her half-siblings had a recent falling out. The friends state that when Markle was born to Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, Thomas' older two children from a previous relationship were in the mid-to-late teens. When Markle was just two years old, her parents ended their relationship and her friends insist that Samantha, now 54, and Thomas, Jr., now 53, simply were not a part of Markle's life enough to have a falling out in the first place.

The falling out has been with her father, her friends claim, although she has done everything to try to fix their failing relationship. One friend in particular went on to state that Thomas Sr., 74, has not tried to call or text his daughter despite her having kept the same cell phone number for several years. And yet, in several different media interviews, the senior Markle has claimed that he has no idea how to get in touch with his youngest daughter.

"I think she will always feel genuinely devastated by what he’s done," Markle's close friend said. "And at the same time, because she’s a daughter, she has a lot of sympathy for him.”

In various interviews, the 74-year-old claimed he has no way to reach his famous daughter. Their relationship was only further damaged when Thomas Sr. decided that he wouldn't be attending the royal wedding a week before the big day, opting instead to honor an agreement he made with paparazzi for a series of photoshoots related to Markle.

Even after knowledge of the photoshoots were made public, Markle's friends claim that both she and Harry attempted to call Thomas Sr. to urge him to appear at the wedding but he denied their phone calls. A car was still sent for him to deliver him to the airport but he refused to get into the car and later reported to have had a heart attack after which, he continued to deny his worried daughter's calls and texts.

Even after all of this, Markle is still trying to mend the relationship with her father. Possibly due to her pregnancy and the new emphasis on family that her life's journey is taking her on, she sat down and wrote an emotional letter to her father.

Her close friend stated that the letter contained paraphrasing of the following, "Dad, I’m so heartbroken. I love you. I have one father. Please stop victimizing me through the media so we can repair our relationship."

Reportedly, Thomas Sr. did write back but only to request a photo op with her. Markle's friends state that the Duchess felt completely frustrated by her father's refusal to acknowledge her request to rebuild their relationship without any media involvement.

We hope Meghan can find some peace before her first baby is born!
