There's a new swoon-worthy celeb-owned mansion on the market for us regular Joes and Janes to sigh dreamily at photos of ... unless you have a little over six million floating around in your bank account.
Jessica Alba and her husband, Cash Warren, recently listed their 5 bedroom, 7 bathroom Beverly Hills mansion for $6.195 million. Not too shabby considering that the actress scooped up the property a few years ago for $4 million. The large Spanish-style home features approximately 5,300 square feet of entertaining pleasure and peaceful splendor in the desirable BH neighborhood of Franklin Canyon.
According to Variety, Alba and Warren's home is listed with "Coldwell Banker/Alba Realty" and we don't think it's a jump to assume that the last name is a coincidence since we all know that Ms. Alba is quite the entrepreneur. The couple and their three children, Honor, Haven and little Hayes have recently moved into an even larger mansion which is privately sequestered in the mountains located above Beverly Hills with a top-notch gated enclave which should offer Alba and her brood even more privacy than this smaller, gated mansion.
But don't let the Alba-Warren family's upgrade put off a potential buyer for the Franklin Canyon mansion! It has more than enough charm to offer non-celebs and celebs alike. We're told that the home was built in the mid-70's and is situated on a semi-private lane (making it hard for those celebrity home tour buses to get up there!) on a half-acre with heavy-duty security gates. A private guest suite sits on top of the four-car garage with its own two bedrooms and two bathrooms along with a private entertaining space and kitchen.
The main house features a stone floor along with distressed hardwood flooring, glass doors showing off the spectacular outside entertaining area which of course, has a pizza oven and U-shaped island with multiple sinks and seating space. Perfect for Southern California living. Private terraces are commonplace here, in the master bedroom and guest suites. Other luxuries such as custom-tailored walk-in closets and marble-floored bathrooms have not been left out.
Speaking of Southern California living, the homes's lagoon-style pool is surrounded by professional tropical landscaping so that a simple trip to the backyard turns into a quick vacation. Pool parties are a must!
Since the house is brand new to the real estate market, we haven't heard if there have been any offers made by any of Alba's fellow celebrities but we don't think that it will take too long for this hot little Franklin Canyon number to be taken off the market by an appreciative buyer. How can you have a bad day when you come home to a relaxing private sanctuary such as this?
