In our current society, party culture can be all-consuming, especially how it is portrayed as being a large part of being wealthy and famous. We've seen many musicians, actors, models, and Hollywood starlets face rehab and addiction battles. In recent years, as health and wellness have become such a mainstream lifestyle choice, we are also starting to see hordes of people joining the movement.

Many Instagram influencers, YouTubers and celebrities are opening up about their wellness journey and leaving drugs and alcohol behind in the pursuit of a more fulfilling life. Here are 10 celebrities you didn't know were sober.

Tyler The Creator

Tyler The Creator of Odd Future has described himself as a walking paradox. He is known to be a jack of all trades in all things creative. Not only is he a rapper, singer, and songwriter he is also a record producer, a fashion designer, and a graphic designer.

Although his music and visuals can be described as vulgar, very trippy, and hard to categorize, Tyler the creator is actually adamantly sober. He even bans drugs and alcohol from his music studio so as not to distract from his art.

Lucy Hale

Lucy Hale is a 28-year-old actress and country singer from Memphis, Tennessee and is most well known for her role in the wildly popular book turned TV series, Pretty Little Liars.

Earlier this year, Hale opened up about leaving alcohol behind and opting to sit out the famed Hollywood parties to spend more time with her dogs. She is apparently an advocate of SoulCycle and has been making a lot healthier lifestyle choices after she decided to stop trying to be a social butterfly and fit in at celebrity events.

Tom Hardy

Born in London, the hunky British actor has played sizeable roles in Hollywood films. He has seen success in many big box office films like The Dark Knight Rises, Inception, Mad Max, and Venom.

However, things were not always so easy for Hardy. He admits that he began experimenting with drugs and alcohol in his teen years, had a few spells in jail and rehab. Hardy finally turned his life around in 2013 and has been sober since. In fact, he has now been sober longer than he was drinking.

Sia

The Australian singer is known for her thoughtful songwriting and captivating music video direction. Sia has been in the music industry for a while, but her rise to fame was a difficult one. As she became more mainstream, Sia was also facing addiction to Oxycodone and Vicodin, as well as being an alcoholic.

She is fiercely private and took to hiding her face for many red carpet events, as well as having stand-ins in her music videos. Just last year she tweeted her fans an inspirational message about her journey to sobriety.

Daniel Radcliffe

You likely know him as the actor who played the boy wizard Harry Potter. However, there is a lot more to Daniel Radcliffe than meets the eye.

While he credits the success of the franchise to his personal successes and has repeatedly expressed his happiness at having taken part, Radcliffe also admitted that while making the movies, he began struggling with alcoholism.  Many were unaware that Radcliffe, like many other teen stars, was having trouble. After a failed sobriety attempt, the actor became sober in 2013 and is very grateful.

Jada Pinkett Smith

You may know her from her role in Gotham, or the breakout film Girl's Trip, as Will Smith's charismatic wife, or as the host of the multigenerational show, Red Table Talk.

Jada Pinkett Smith is a powerhouse actress from Baltimore, Maryland who has been open about her journey to sobriety. Smith was raised in an area during the crack epidemic that she has called a war zone for drug addiction and poverty.  Jada Pinkett Smith struggled with drinking as an adult, but has been sober for more than 20 years.

Zac Efron

Zac Efron is someone who it's clear has successfully transitioned from teen actor fame to legitimate Hollywood celebrity. Whether you are a fan of his earlier work on Disney Channel's High School Musical, or his more recent adult blockbusters like Baywatch, The Greatest Showman or Neighbors, you have to admit that this hunky California native has taken over the big screen.

Efron had a stint in rehab in 2013 for his cocaine and alcohol addiction, and has since made many lifestyle changes such joining AA, getting healthy, and diving into athleticism.

Gillian Jacobs

You probably know actress Gillian Jacobs from her often flawed, party-going characters she's played on TV. If you watched her as Mickey on Netflix's Love, you saw a woman struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, as well as sex and love addiction who is trying her best with a new beau. Or you may remember her from her role as Britta in Community, the formerly rebellious high-school drop out trying to get her degree.

In reality, Jacobs has never drunk. She claims that she has never had very much interest.

Jason Biggs

Jason Biggs is a New Jersey-born actor who had his first break out role in his early 20s playing the main character in American Pie and the following movies in the series. In his more recent and more adult roles, he played Piper Chapman's fiancé in the Netflix original series Orange Is the New Black.

Though his struggles with addiction have not been so much in the public eye, the actor reportedly tried to get sober five years ago but recently celebrated being one year sober in an Instagram post.

Kristin Davis

You probably know this Hollywood star best for her iconic role as the romantic - marriage obsessed Charlotte on Sex and the City. But there is a lot more to her story.

Kristin Davis grew up in Southern California and has revealed that she began drinking at a young age in order to overcome her shyness and insecurity. However, when she found acting, she knew she had to make a choice and has since been sober. Davis funnily enough, never drinks a cosmopolitan, though it was made popular by the show.
