All eyes have been on Kylie Jenner in recent months as fans wondered whether she was, or wasn’t pregnant. It turns out she was, and on Feb. 1, 2018, she and boyfriend Travis Scott welcomed a baby girl into the world. Anyone who knows anything about Jenner knows that she was 20 years old at the time of giving birth, and some may think she’s very young to have become a mom. However, there are a lot of famous celebs who have had babies young and still gone on to be extremely successful and well-rounded individuals.

We’re not talking about the stars of MTV’s Teen Mom here, who are famous for having children, nope, who we are really interested in are some of the biggest Hollywood actors, singers, and models, who journeyed into motherhood in their teens and early twenties. For example, you probably had no idea Beyonce’s sister Solange Knowles had a teen pregnancy, and there’s a good chance you forgot just how young pregnant April Love Geary is -- she’s expecting a baby with Robin Thicke who is 18 years her senior!

Below are 16 stunningly beautiful celebs who started having babies young, and they have a lot to say about that decision.

Solange Knowles Says Juggling A Baby And A Career Was Not Easy

Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles is a beautiful and talented woman but the reason she finds herself on this list is that she was also a young mother. In 2004, when Knowles was age 18, she and her then-husband Daniel Smith (they split in 2007) welcomed their son, Daniel Julez J. Smith, Jr. into the world.

She has discussed how difficult it was to raise a baby and also try to become a superstar. She told Elle (via Us Weekly), “It was one of the most bittersweet moments of my life because I was so in love with Julez, and having spent a lot of time on the road, I yearned to be in one place, to have the opportunity to really ground myself with him. But it was isolating and lonely, and so cold and dark. And it was just Julez and me most of the time. It was hard to imagine being able to progress in my career in any way.”

Reese Witherspoon Faced Difficulties Having A Kid So Early

Reese Witherspoon was a child actress and she has continued to steadily work in Hollywood. Nowadays she’s a business owner of Draper James, a producer, and also a mother to three children, but what you probably didn’t know about Witherspoon is that she had a baby young.

After meeting Ryan Phillippe in 1997, the pair fell hopelessly in love and ended up getting married in 1999. Later that year they welcomed their daughter, Ava Elizabeth Phillippe. Witherspoon was age 22 at the time, and she has since spoken out about the difficulties she faced having a child so young.

In 2009, she told Elle, that she had to do it all on her own and couldn’t afford to hire any help, she also had no support system because she was in Los Angeles, not her native Tennessee.  "It was so hard…living [away from my family]. I really didn’t have any friends. And I had a baby," she said, adding, "no one else who was 22 had a baby."

Sofia Vergara Had A Lot Of Energy As A Young Mom

Sofia Vergara is yet another well-known celebrity that you probably didn’t know had a baby at a young age. Much like her character Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on Modern Family, Vergara was also a young mom after giving birth to her son Manolo Gonzalez-Ripoll Vergara when she was 19. At the time, Vergara was married to her childhood sweetheart Joe Gonzalez but the pair realized that their relationship wouldn’t work in the long run and split just one year after Manolo was born.

She has previously spoken on her experiences of being a teen mom and how the positive in the experience was because she was so young she was able to handle the late nights and early mornings that come with a demanding newborn. She told Rebook, "When I had Manolo, I was 19, and I had the energy for everything.”

Kylie Jenner Has The Most Famous Pregnancy Of 2018

Kylie Jenner is the most well-known young celeb mom of them all because all eyes have been on her for the last nine months, but her pregnancy was also the worst kept secret in Hollywood. Jenner fell pregnant with boyfriend Travis Scott’s baby early in their relationship, but despite rumors that she was pregnant, Jenner refused to either confirm or deny them -- unusual for a member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan because they have become famous by sharing their lives with the world.

Then on Feb. 4, 2018, Jenner, who is only 20, finally revealed that she was a mother to a baby girl, Stormi, who had been born just three days earlier. She revealed this news with a statement shared via social media, in which explained her reason for keeping fans in the dark, but also stated, “pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life-changing experience I’ve had in my entire life…”

Jamie Lynn Spears Was A Teen Mom

You may think that Kylie Jenner was young to have a baby, but Britney Spears’ sister Jamie Lynn Spears was a lot younger. When she gave to her daughter, Maddie Briann Aldridge, in 2008, she was only 17.

Spears could have been at home on MTV’s show Teen Mom, because she really was a teen mom, and it wasn’t easy on her. She has previously revealed what this was like during an interview with E! News, saying, "My family's reaction was exactly what you expected it to be: very shocked, very scared for me…but it was all out of love. I was the baby of the family having a baby. When I told them I was pregnant, I think the best thing that they did was they supported me. They didn't just let me go do whatever I wanted, but they gave me the freedom to make my choices and grow up. I couldn't have a child and still have mom and dad making decisions for me."

Candace Cameron Bure Fell In Love And Started Making Babies

You know and love Candace Cameron Bure for her role as D.J. Tanner on Full House, and it’s sequel Fuller House, but what you may not have realized is that she became a mom in her early 20s. Bure met Valeri Bure in 1995 and they fell hopelessly in love even though they were just teenagers at the time, and by 1996 they were married.

It was a natural progression for these two to then start having children, and in 1998, when Candace Cameron was 22, the couple welcomed their daughter Natasha Bure. They are one of the few Hollywood couples whose relationship has withstood the test of time and they appear to be incredibly happy together, even 20 years later. They also added two more children to their brood, sons Maksim Valerievich Bure and Lev Valerievich Bure.

Niki Taylor Was A Divorced Mom By 21

Supermodel Niki Taylor had babies on the brain from when she was aged 18, and so it wasn’t such a surprise to her when she was 19 that she was married to Matt Martinez and expecting twins, Jake and Hunter. The only problem was when she gave birth she wasn't in a blissful marriage, which made life a lot more complicated.

She revealed this during an issue of Mom, saying, “It was like, ‘Who is this guy I married?’ It was super hard because I did rush into it. I was young, and I thought I was in love. So when the babies came, it was not something I signed up for.”

She also told the publication that she and her husband divorced because they were two completely different people and that by the age of 21, she divorced and a mother!

April Geary And Robin Thicke Will Soon Be Proud Parents

When Robin Thicke and Paula Patton announced their decision to divorce after ten years of marriage the world was shocked. Then when Thicke started up a relationship with model April Love Geary in 2015, when she was only 20 (there is an 18 year age gap between them), everyone thought the relationship wouldn’t last and she was a rebound, but fast-forward three years and it’s Thicke and Geary who are having the last laugh because she is pregnant with their baby.

Geary is only 23, but she is more than ready to be a mom and revealed as much with an Instagram announcement in August of 2017. She shared a sonogram photo of their unborn child and captioned the image with, “Robin and I are very excited to share with you all that we're having a baby! The due date is March 1st, Alan's birthday!”

Britney Spears’ Marriage Wasn’t Perfect But Her Kids Are

Jamie Lynn Spears was a teen mom, but her sister Britney Spears also had children when she was young. Spears married Kevin Federline five months after they met in 2004, and a year later she gave birth to their first son Sean Preston. She was just 23 at the time. And in 2006, they had a second child, another son, Jayden James.

Everyone knows all about Spears and Federline’s relationship because they made no attempt to hide their affections, but when their relationship came crashing to a halt everyone took note of this too. In 2008, Spears addressed her marriage and it’s problems saying that she thought she married for “the wrong reasons.” She added, “Instead of following my heart and doing something that made me really happy, I just did it for the idea of everything.” But despite not having a long and happy marriage, she did get something great out of this relationship; her kids.

Charlotte Church And Her Baby Daddy Split Soon After Baby Announcement

British singer Charlotte Church shot to fame when she was a preteen, but it’s her pregnancy which finds her on this list. Church was in a relationship with Welsh rugby player Gavin Henson for four years when they had their first child in 2007, a daughter named Ruby Henson.

Church was just 21 years old when she became a mother, but it seems she was up for the challenge because the couple had a second child in 2009, this time a son named Dexter Henson. The following year was also notable in the couple’s life, but for a less pleasant reason because this is when they decided to go their separate ways. Their split was probably a bigger shock than Church’s pregnancy because it happened after the pair had spent five years together, and had only announced their engagement just weeks earlier.

Evelyn Lozada Used Her Pregnancy To Mentor Others

Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada became a mother to a baby girl named Shaniece when she was just 17.

Years later, Lozada reportedly mentored a pregnant teenager, a situation she could relate too all too well. She had a lot of really important advice to give this girl, advice that she probably wishes that someone would have told her. According to the Oprah publication, she told the girl, "Don't let anybody make you feel bad about it, because I feel like, when I got pregnant, and I found out, I felt like everybody was judging me. I remember walking around my neighborhood—I lived in the Bronx—and just, I felt like people were looking down on me, and [thinking] 'she's not going to be a good mother.'"

If she could have waited she admits that she would have, but for her, the most important thing to remember when you find yourself in this situation is not to be overwhelmed by shame and not to let anybody make you feel bad about your pregnancy.

Emily Maynard’s First Pregnancy Was Hard

Former The Bachelorette star Emily Maynard’s pregnancy was probably not the happiest time of her life because it was marred by tragedy. According to reports, just days after her fiancé Ricky Hendrick lost his life in a plane crash, she learned that she was pregnant with their baby.

Maynard was only 18 at the time, and when she gave birth to their daughter she decided to name her Ricki to pay tribute to her late partner. Maynard revealed during an interview with People magazine (via Daily Mail) that being a single mom had its challenges, especially in the beginning. She is quoted as saying, “The first couple of years were so hard. I didn't know if I was coming or going. I was lost. I went to therapists but I knew nothing they would tell me was going to make me feel better. Mine was an issue of the heart that I needed to work out myself. And I knew that time would do that.”

Fast forward a few years and she has found happiness again, this time with Tyler Johnson and she has added three more children to her brood.

Bristol Palin Caused Controversy With Her Pregnancy

Can Bristol Palin be considered a celebrity? Well, whether she wanted to be in the limelight or not she got worldwide attention for being the daughter of Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, and then even more attention when she fell pregnant at age 17.

In 2008, it was revealed that the unmarried Bristol was expecting a baby with her fiancé, Levi Johnston, and at the end of the year, they welcomed a son, Tripp. However, the couple’s relationship fell apart, perhaps in part due to the attention it received.

Bristol’s pregnancy sparked controversy and she addressed this during an interview with Fox News Channel, saying, "I'm not the first person that it's happened to, and I'm not going to be the last. It's not, like, a situation that you want to strive for...Kids should just wait. I don't know...it's not glamorous at all."

Keisha Castle Hughes Loved Being A Young Mother

Actress Keisha Castle Hughes gave birth to a baby girl who she named Felicity-Amore, when she was 17. She had fallen pregnant with boyfriend Bradley Hull’s child and there was controversy surrounding the pregnancy because of her young age. She even admitted that she felt as though she had to “hide” her pregnancy because of the attention she was getting.

However, two years later in 2009, when Castle Hughes was aged 19, she spoke to People about being a young mother and how much she loved it. She said, “I absolutely love being a mother. It’s been a blessing. It’s fun and it’s hard, but it’s absolutely amazing.”

In the years following the birth, she disappeared from the limelight to focus on being a great mother to her baby, and she felt it was all worth it in the end because she described motherhood as a “rewarding” thing.

Brandy Shared Her Experience With The World

Brandy Norwood is a talented singer who has a strange tie to Kim Kardashian -- her brother is Ray J, and we all know his connection to Kardashian -- and her rise to fame she took time out of her busy career to have a baby. When Brandy was 23 years old, she and then-boyfriend (they reportedly lied about being married) producer Robert Smith welcomed her daughter, Sy'rai Iman Smith, into the world and there was so much attention surrounding the pregnancy that it was even filmed on MTV’s show, Brandy: Special Delivery.

Brandy may have decided to share her birth with the world, but after that moment she worked hard to protect her daughter from the prying eyes of the public and ensured that she lived her life mostly out of the limelight. However, the world may soon see more of Sy'rai Iman because like her mom, she is reportedly passionate about singing.

Victoria Beckham Was A Pregnant Spice Girl

In 1994, when Victoria Beckham was 24, she gave birth to her and husband David Beckham’s first child, Brooklyn Beckham. In comparison to some of the other celebs on this list, 24 years old is not that young to start having children, but her journey into motherhood did start early, and it also happened during the Spice Girls world tour in 1998.

The couple is still together, which is an eternity in Hollywood relationship terms, and they appear to be very happy. They also have four children together in total, with their last being a little girl named Harper, who was born in 2011.

Speaking of motherhood, Beckham shared her thoughts publicly on what it’s like to be a mother, telling The Sunday Times Style (Via Vogue) that it doesn’t get easier when your kids grow up. She said, “The most important thing is to make sure that each child gets the individual attention that they need. I can never go to bed early because Brooklyn is always up and that's when I see him, and then you've got Harper who is up super early. So I do feel that I'm being pulled in four different directions with the children.”
