Motherhood is a tough job and it can really drain one’s energy. It gets especially tiring if you are a celebrity and surrounded with different projects, movies and not to forget, the paparazzi! Being a young mom is a huge responsibility; even though the joy of being a mother is a blessing, we cannot ignore the responsibilities that come with it. It is pretty common to see mothers looking tired and weary after giving birth. We have a collection of celebrity moms who took the challenge of motherhood and definitely got a little overwhelmed. Well, this goes on to show that motherhood is really hard on some people. And another reason for it could be the age these women embraced motherhood. Being a mother at such a young age can put additional stress on the woman and it is especially hard if the individual is carrying responsibilities of living under the limelight. Also, young age motherhood is also hard since you have to take care of a kid at such an age where other girls usually have fun. 15 Hilary Duff
In March of 2012, the 24 year old famous actress gave birth to baby boy Luca Cruz Comrie, with husband Mike Comrie. The couple later divorced but shared parental rights. Duff was the signature Disney princess and was famous for her roles in Lizzie McGuire, Casper and Cinderella. After giving birth, she was body-shamed by many of her followers on social media but Duff kept her head high and nothing stopped her from posting her special moments with her adorable son. She snapped at the body shamers by giving a powerful statement where she clearly said, ‘Since websites and magazines love to share 'celeb flaws' - well I have them! My body has given me the greatest gift of my life: Luca, 5 years ago.’

The famous ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’ singer was famously known for being beautiful and famous. Like others, she was also body shamed for her tiredness which was pretty much because of the great responsibility she had on her shoulder. Many people attributed her ‘not-so-perfect behaviour’ to her notorious history of alcohol abuse but we cannot ignore the fact that she gave birth to two children in a span of two years. Well that does put a lot of pressure on a person and Britney was not immune to the natural stresses of being a mother. Her two sons, Jayden James and Sean Preston are now 11 and 12 years old and Britney usually posts pictures with her sons.
13 Kate Hudson
The beautiful and very famous star of The Almost Famous gave birth to her son Ryder Robinson after her marriage with Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson in 2004. Hudson, a young mom, again did not step back in putting the mommy responsibilities over her shoulder and even stated that she did not feel like a "young mom" until her son, Ryder, started growing up. Well that shows her sheer commitment to motherhood. She also said that, "As I started getting older, as [Ryder] started getting older and I was 28, 29, I was like, 'Wow. I'm a young mom.' It started hitting me." Well, we could see that on Hudson’s face as her youth took a halt and she seemed pretty much tired even with all those glitz and glam.

The still very beautiful Modern Family star Sofia Vergara became mother to her son, Manolo Gonzalez-Ripoll Vergara, in 1992 when she was just 19 years old. Vergara was the iconic high school beauty in her youth but as usual, being a parent really hit her hard. She got married to her high school sweetheart Joe Gonzalez but the couple sought a divorce after the birth of their son. The star also admitted herself that being a single mother was hard on her but she does not overlook the benefits either. She said, "When I had Manolo, I was 19, and I had the energy for everything," she told Redbook. .
11 Reese Witherspoon
Mom of three, Reese Witherspoon sure seems to enjoy motherhood but it is quite evident that motherhood has taken a toll on her as well. Just like all mothers who get overwhelmed with motherhood, Reese also seems to be feeling the stress. She had her first child at a young age in 1999 and later on had two sons. Her daughter Ava and two sons are mostly taking space on her Instagram account. She also stated in her interviews that being a mother at such a young age was tough. "It was so hard ... living [away from my family]. I really didn't have any friends. And I had a baby," she said. "No one else who was 22 had a baby."
10 Jamie Lynn Spears
Sister of famous singer Britney Spears pronounced that she and boyfriend Casey Aldridge were expecting their first child when she was just 16 years old. Spears gave birth to her daughter in 2008 but unfortunately the couple did not stay together for long and broke off their engagement. Maybe the responsibilities of parenthood became too overwhelming for the couple to pay attention to their relationship. She talks about finding out her pregnancy as being quite overwhelming. According to the Daily Mail, Spears said 'It was scary - I couldn't believe it,' she said, adding that soon enough, 'the whole world came crashing' down.' But she handled the matter like a responsible adult and also stated that 'I put myself in an adult situation, so I needed to handle it like an adult,' she said. 'My age was never an excuse for me.'
9 Solange Knowles
Songwriter and sister of queen bee Beyoncé, Solange Knowles, welcomed her first child, Daniel Julez J. Smith, Jr. with then-husband Daniel Smith, at a tender age of 18 in 2004. The singer was quite honest about her journey with motherhood as she spoke about the difficulties she faced at raising a kid in her teenage. She says that, “I have been so blessed that my son is the coolest kid ever. Of course, that first year of not sleeping and just being dedicated to him had tough parts. I've heard stories of people who were 14 that had kids and basically snapped into it and got into the groove of motherhood. A lot of people have doubts, but when you have a child I think it takes a really non-emotional person not to have a blast, no matter what age."

Game of Thrones star Actress Keisha Castle-Hughes had her daughter just before her 17th birthday. She enjoys motherhood but also admits that the pregnancy and motherhood had been a challenge for her. Having a child out of wedlock was hard and heavy on her and she explained: “I kind of felt like a dirty girl who had done something wrong.” According to Vanity Fair, she said “I didn’t want to become the poster girl for teenage pregnancy, but I wasn’t focused on that or what other people were thinking. I just did the best I could.” Talking to People magazine she said that “[Motherhood is] no different for me than any other mum in the world. It can be a little stressful and tiring, but it’s the most rewarding thing.”

Star of Dancing With The Stars gave birth in 2008 at the age of 18. She describes the joys and challenges of being a mom. She says that it has changed her life altogether. She spoke about motherhood and explained: “It’s completely changed me. I’m up all night with [Tripp]. I’m constantly changing diapers and making bottles. Your priorities change 100 percent.” She is completely against teen pregnancy and says that teenagers should be educated well enough in this regard. She said about motherhood that it “is not just an accessory on your hip. This is hard work.” She also accepted that it is a blessing by referring to her son as "not a mistake at all. He’s a blessing.”

The Brazilian-US model became a mother at the age of 24. He welcomed her son with her husband and has talked about motherhood quite a lot. After having two more babies she is very open in sharing the blessings and challenges of being a mother. As a supermodel she even struggled with losing baby weight. Talking to media she said, “I never understood when people go, ‘Oh my gosh, it’s so easy being pregnant. No, it’s hard. It’s the most beautiful thing, yes, but it’s hard.” Talking about the other two pregnancies, she says, “The second one, a little bit harder. The third one, it just wasn’t going anywhere. So actually, [Livingston is] 3 years old and I stopped myself and went, ‘Camila, you’re still holding on to your baby weight and he’s 3 years old. That’s not okay.”

At the age of 25, Williams gave birth to her daughter Matilda. She talks about how her career and her life changed when she had her daughter. She is very real and open when it comes to motherhood and pours her heart out on the subject matter. In a press conference she said, “Being a mother is not only who I am in my relationship with my daughter, but it’s a part of the kind of work that I want to make and the relationship with the person that I want to be for her, so there is really no area of my life that is untouched. It’s at the centre of everything that I do.” Well, we certainly understand how motherhood becomes embedded in everything that one does.

Being a mom can be a challenge, from the sleepless nights to the crucial decisions one has to take in order to raise the child and it is no piece of cake. Talking to People magazine she said, “There’s not one way to raise children. There’s no one right way to be a mother. It depends on your house and lifestyle. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is not to judge!” She pretty much agrees that motherhood is overwhelming and said that she does not know anyone who can say they don’t just try and do the best that they can. Staying at home all day talking to people that can't talk back’. Well, that is pretty much true, Lily. It can be pretty hard to be around little humans who do not understand what you say and at times you can’t even comprehend what they want.
