Everyone has at least one celebrity that they are crushing on, and we can all remember having posters on the walls of our favorite boy band member or actress when we were children. Celebrity crushes are fun for regular people because we know that there is really no chance of us ever getting to meet these people in real life. In fact, some couples even have "lists" of celebrities, who they would be "allowed" to get with, even if they were in a relationship because they know that the likelihood of ever meeting these celebs is so slim.

But, what about celebrities who have admitted to having crushes on other celebrities? This is even more fascinating because, unlike us, they could actually have the opportunity to be together in real life. However, just because you're a celebrity does not mean that you'll automatically be met with the same feelings by the other party.

Some celebs have admitted to having crushes on other celebrities that are married or otherwise taken, so they kind of knew that they did not have a chance, while others have actually tried to get together with their crushes but were instead, turned down, in one way or another. Here are 15 embarrassing times celebs admitted to crushing on another celebrity, but they weren't interested.

Jennifer Lawrence’s Celeb Crush Is Timothée Chalamet

Jennifer Lawrence is one of the most well-known and highest-paid actresses in the entertainment industry today. However, the starlet seems to have trouble holding on to a man and has been in a string of famous flings over the years. During a February 2018 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lawrence revealed that she had a schoolgirl crush on the Call Me By Your Name star, Timothée Chamalet.

She joked that she was "buttering him up like a pig." Although, she added that she was definitely planning on waiting for the young star to "get a little older" before trying anything with him, saying, "I’m going to swing right in there as soon as he’s, like, 30." Even asking, "He’s old enough to say that, right? He’s over 18?"

Jennifer, 27, has also admitted to having a thing for the Seinfeld co-creator and star of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry David. She told Vanity Fair, "Do you like Larry David? I'm in love with him, and I have been for a really long time."

She admitted to Glamour that she once even gave him her phone number, but she never heard from the 70-year-old actor. "I love that he didn't call me. It makes him so much hotter," she revealed.

Bella Thorne’s Celeb Crush Is Kristen Stewart

The former Disney Channel star, Bella Thorne, has certainly parted ways with her good girl image, and she is now known more for her partying antics than her acting skills. She has also been in the tabloids with her new boyfriend, Mod Sun, a lot lately. The couple certainly has an eccentric style, to say the least, and they absolutely capture attention whenever they step out in public.

Despite this latest relationship, Bella has actually admitted that she is romantically interested in both men and women.

So, it should come as no surprise that when she was asked who her celebrity crush was, she quickly named the Twilight star, Kristen Stewart. During an interview with Harper's Bazaar, Thorne revealed, "She’s so hot. She seems like the raddest chick, I’d be so down."

Stewart is currently off the market as well. The actress has been dating the Victoria's Secret Angel, Stella Maxwell. Although, if it does not work out between them, and Bella and her boyfriend break up, the two could actually have a shot at being together— stranger things have happened. Kristen has not really starred in any hit films since the Twilight saga. She has appeared in some indie flicks, so it would appear that maybe the Hollywood spotlight is not for her, and right now, the spotlight seems like the only thing that Thorne is interested in.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s Celeb Crush Is Rachel McAdams

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has had a wildly successful career in wrestling and acting. He's recently starred in Rampage, Jumanji: Welcome To The Jungle, Baywatch, The Fate Of The Furious, and the hit HBO series, Ballers. He has one impressively toned physique and a charming personality to go along with it— what woman wouldn't want to be with him? Many people were surprised to find out that The Rock has actually been in a committed relationship with his girlfriend, Lauren Hashian, for the past 11 years! In fact, they just welcomed their second daughter together last month, Tiana. In 2015, they welcomed their first daughter, Jasmine.

Johnson did admit that he had an innocent celeb crush on none other than The Notebook star, Rachel McAdams while he was being interviewed by People in 2016.

He joked, "Lauren is going to kill me!" He also admitted to having a thing for Jennifer Lopez as well before saying, "It's not going to get me in trouble with Lauren because that's where we're going to stop." Fortunately, Lauren has nothing to worry about because McAdams is in a committed relationship with her boyfriend, Jamie Linden. In fact, the couple is currently pregnant and expecting their first child together!

Ariana Grande’s Celeb Crush Is Jim Carrey

Alright, this celeb crush is a little bit strange and unpredictable, to say the least. But, hey, considering that Ariana's past boyfriends were rappers like Big Sean and Mac Miller, and now, she is currently dating Pete Davidson from Saturday Night Live, clearly, it would seem that she doesn't really have a type. In 2015, Grande admitted on Live! With Kelly and Michael that she had been fangirling over Jim Carrey since she was young.

Ariana revealed, "My childhood crush, like, my lifelong crush, it kind of all goes together—it's Jim Carrey." Adding, "I love him so much."

The singer, being the famous person that she is, of course, got an opportunity to meet the Bruce Almighty actor. Luckily, she had a great experience and said that he was everything she imagined that he would be, "He was so over-the-top nice, and perfect, and just as I hoped he'd be. [He said to me in] his classic Jim Carrey, 'Nice to meet ya. Thank you. Remember, be nice.' I was like, 'Oh my God, you're so cute. I love you.' I was like, 'Wow, help me God, thank you.'" Who knows how Ariana is feeling about her childhood celeb crush now that he has been in the headlines following the tragic passing of his girlfriend.

Harry Styles’ Celeb Crush Is Lindsay Lohan

This one is a little bit surprising, too, but hey, maybe Harry grew up watching Lindsay in movies like The Parent Trap and Mean Girls and had a crush on her as a boy. Styles never admitted to having a crush on the actress, Lindsay Lohan, he actually took it a step further. Lindsay revealed to The Sun in 2016 that the former One Direction member actually showed up at her hotel room door unannounced at two o'clock in the morning. The most comical part? She didn't even know who he was.

"I didn’t know it was him. He was in a suit. I said, ‘Well, you’re very good-looking – can I help you?’ That was it."

Lohan added, “He was like, ‘I’m Harry. Gavin and Michael sent me here.’ I was in bed. I was like, ‘I’m going to bed but it was nice to meet you,'” she explained, adding, “It was 2 am, I had just come back from an AA meeting. I looked like [garbage] too. I was wearing a big hotel robe, I had a slip under it. It was not a good look.” Clearly, Styles' plan to surprise her in her room did not go as well as he had planned...

Josh Hutcherson’s Celeb Crush Is Emma Watson

Josh Hutcherson has been acting for quite a while, having roles in films like Journey To The Center of the Earth, The Kids Are Alright, The Polar Express, and Journey 2: Mysterious Island before he got his big break starring as Peeta Mellark in the hit Hunger Games saga. All three films saw massive success and Josh was catapulted into superstardom. He, arguably, has not starred in anything as huge since then.

In 2013, he told MTV that his celeb crush was none other than the star of another successful saga — Emma Watson from Harry Potter — revealing, "I love Emma Watson, I’m dying to meet her."

The actor even tried to make things a reality and meet Emma in person, "I tried to get my manager to call, like, ‘Er, could you like call Emma’s manager and see if we could like, meet or something?' It hasn’t happened yet. One day, fingers crossed!" The good news for Hutcherson is that Watson recently broke up with her boyfriend, Chord Overstreet, who starred in Glee, according to In Style. The bad news is that Josh is a taken man himself these days and is in a relationship with Claudia Traisac. Maybe one day in the future, the timing will be right for these two.

Adele and Rihanna Have Celeb Crushes On Each Other

Okay, this is probably the best celeb crush situation fans could ever ask for— Adele and Rihanna have celeb crushes on each other! According to Xfinity, in 2012, Adele revealed that she thought Rihanna was extremely attractive, saying, "If Rihanna wanted me, I'd do it [...] She's hot." She jokingly added, "She had pinstripe flares on. She whipped them off and there were her stunning thighs. I said to all my girlfriends, 'Are you feeling a bit gay right now?'"

Well, much to Adele's surprise, Rihanna responded to her comments at the British Music Awards saying, "Really I came to the BRITS to stalk Adele. It was nothing about the awards or the performance, for me it was just to see Adele again. She doesn't know the depth of my affection, just the surface. She has no idea."

Now, both of these women are known to be straight, but hey, that doesn't mean we can't dream! Adele has been happily married to her husband, Simon Konecki, for some time now, and Rihanna is currently dating the Saudi billionaire, Hassan Jameel. But, hey, that does not mean that they couldn't get together to do an awesome song collaboration. Can you imagine that music video?

Selena Gomez's Celeb Crush Is Billy Crudup

The singer and actress, Selena Gomez, actually got to meet her celeb crush. In fact, she got to work with him, too. It turns out, Gomez had a huge schoolgirl crush on her Rudderless co-star, Billy Crudup. Selena is still fangirling over Billy's role as the rockstar, Russell Hammond, in the 2000 cult-comedy, Almost Famous. When she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel's late night talk show host in 2014, Gomez revealed, "I had a crush on him."

Adding,"I went through my whole Almost Famous phase, so I was like Penny Lane for a good month—I wore the outfits and had the hair and the glasses... and then, I found out I was going to be a part of the movie [with Billy] and it took me a minute at first, because I kind of had a little bit of a crush on him!"

Unfortunately, for Selena, the age difference was probably a bit much to make her dream of being with Billy become a reality— he is 49 and she is 25. Although, it's Hollywood, and age doesn't really seem to come into play with relationships in the entertainment industry. So, hey, maybe she could make it happen. But, considering they worked on a movie together over four years ago now, if it didn't happen then, it probably isn't going to.

Diane Keaton’s Celeb Crush Is Channing Tatum

Everyone knows who Diane Keaton is. She has such a kind and recognizable face, having starred in classic films, like Annie Hall and Manhattan, back in the day and more current films like The Family Stone, Something's Gotta Give, Because I Said So, Morning Glory, and she even did some voice acting in Finding Dory. Diane Keaton has never been married but she has been known to have had romances with famous men like Woody Allen, Al Pacino, and Warren Betty. She admitted that would marry Channing in a heartbeat, while appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, saying, "I’m sorry? Channing Tatum is actually married to someone else? Not me?"

Meanwhile, Channing recently announced his separation from his wife, Jenna Dewan, who he met on the set of his breakout film, Step Up. His career is growing rapidly and he has starred in films like 21 Jump Street, 22 Jump Street, White House Down, Fox Catcher, Kingsman: Golden Circle, and Magic Mike.

So, really, this is Diane's one shot of a romance with Channing! I mean, there's the whole age difference thing, but if it doesn't matter that older men are dating younger women in Hollywood, it shouldn't matter the other way around, either. Team Chiane, anyone?

Ashton Kutcher’s Celeb Crush Is Jennifer Aniston

Ashton Kutcher is probably most well-known for his legendary comedic role in That '70s Show. That '70s Show is actually where he would meet his wife, Mila Kunis, who was just 15 at the time that they started filming (she lied about her age to the producers). Although he did not know it then, years later, the two would be happily married with babies. But, rewind to 2011, around the time when he was in films like No Strings Attached, Valentine's Day, New Year's Eve, and Killers, and Kutcher recalled who his celeb crush was when he was younger.

In fact, Ashton is a big fan of none other than the Friends star, Jennifer Aniston. She, too, made it big on a comedic sitcom, arguably, much bigger than Kutcher because she was making $1 million per episode towards the end of the successful show's run.

According to Ok! Magazine, he revealed, "I was 17 years old and she was my screensaver." He actually made a bet with his friend, "So I make a bet with my buddy. I'm probably 17 years old. I said to him, 'I bet you $1,000 that someday, I will go on a date with Jennifer Aniston." Seeing as he is with Mila now, it looks like he will have to pay up...

Reese Witherspoon’s Celeb Crush Is Johnny Depp

Now, Reese may no longer feel this way about Johnny Depp, ever since he's been exposed for his substance abuse and anger issues, and his looks have arguably faded, but in 2012, during a time when Depp's reputation was still intact, the Big Little Lies star, Reese Witherspoon, admitted to having a crush on him. When she was asked which celebrity she had always had a thing for by MTV, she responded shyly, "I have to say probably Johnny Depp in 21 Jump Street. I just had a really major crush on him. I used to pull pictures out of Teen Beat and put them on my wall."

Of course, Reese has never professed her feelings for Depp directly to him, saying, "I don't think he knows. I'm not sure it would faze him; I'm sure he's heard that quite a bit."

After one failed marriage with Ryan Phillippe and two children later, Reese Witherspoon tied the knot with her second husband, Jim Toth, in 2011. They welcomed a child together in 2012. Ever since Johnny Depp's divorce from Amber Heard, he has not exactly had the best reputation. It is not likely that even if she had the chance of hooking up with her childhood crush that she would.

Mandy Moore’s Celeb Crush Is Shane West

This celeb crush has every teen from the nineties gushing. Of course, Mandy Moore and Shane West was the epic duo in the tear-jerking film, A Walk To Remember. Girls around the world swooned over this handsome, young teen, who fell in love with Jamie Sullivan, who was terminally ill. Well, it turns out, the viewers were not the only ones to fall in love with him. Mandy Moore was only 16 at the time when she filmed A Walk To Remember, and she revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that she had thought he was "so cool."

Mandy admitted, "He was the character to me and there was definitely a part of me that absolutely fell in love with him." Adding, "I don’t know if I could discern the difference between him and the character at that point in time because, again, it was my first experience doing anything like this and I was a 16-year-old, impressionable girl."

Mandy Moore had a bit of an acting hiatus but came back better than ever with her role as Rebecca Pearson in the hit series, This Is Us. Shane has not had as much of a successful career in the entertainment industry as his former co-star but has had some roles in shows like Nikita, Salem, and ER.

Lena Dunham’s Celeb Crush Is Jimmy Fallon

Lena Dunham shot into stardom when she created, starred, and directed in the hit HBO series, Girls. When she went on to appear on Jimmy Fallon's late-night talk show in 2012, she ended up admitting her teen obsession with him. She revealed, "It's a big deal for me to be here, for a lot of reasons." Adding, "But the big one is that I was, like, really obsessed with you in high school. Like in a way that was a little crazy."

She continued confessing, saying, "I don't want to freak you out but I feel like there's a lot of stuff I've been meaning to say to you for a long time."

Then, going a little overboard, she said, "I wrote a play in which you and I switched bodies and then fell in love." Of course, Jimmy, being the hilarious comedian that he is, laughed it all off and was flattered by her sweet crush. The Saturday Night Live veteran has many admirers, so surely, he's used to the adoration. Jimmy Fallon has been happily married to his wife, Nancy Juvonen, since 2007. They have two beautiful children together and are totally in love — so, Lena doesn't really have a chance here, but of course, she already knew that.

Ryan Gosling’s Celeb Crush Is Britney Spears

Oh, how great is this? Ryan Gosling had a schoolboy crush on Britney Spears back in the day, while they were both members of the Mickey Mouse Club. The club ended up shooting them into superstardom, along with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake. We all know, by now, that Britney and Justin ended up dating for some time, while they were both gaining loads of popularity with the public as pop stars. We also know that the celeb couple broke up after it was rumored that Britney was running around with other dudes on the side, prompting J.T.'s infamous, "Cry Me A River," song.

How much different would Britney's life have turned out if she chose Ryan Gosling? Maybe, she didn't know he was interested. Ryan told Glamour in 2013, "Britney was a sweetheart. She lived right above me, the girl next door. The little girl I used to play basketball and spin the bottle with."

Spin the bottle, eh, Ryan? We wonder if the bottle ever landed on Britney for him. Perhaps, these two did share a little bit of romance as kids, but, unfortunately, it is unlikely that we will ever find out. Ryan Gosling is happily married to Eva Mendes with two kids, but the two are so notoriously private about their personal lives, we hardly know a thing! Meanwhile, Britney's relationships have a bit more than a bit rocky.

Meryl Streep’s Celeb Crush Is Will Ferrell

Meryl Streep is one of the most well-respected and talented actresses in the business. Will Ferrell is one of the most comical, that's for sure. What we would not have guessed is that Streep would have a crush on him! During a 2015 interview with Vanity Fair, Meryl admitted, "I have the biggest crush on Will Ferrell." She added, "I love every film that he does." Somehow, I cannot picture The Devil Wears Prada actress watching Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby. She reasoned her answer by saying, "I mean, Ryan Gosling could be my child. I'm not going to have a crush on a child. Will Ferrell is a man."

Meryl is in one of the longest-lasting celebrity marriages— like, ever. She has been married to her husband, Don Gummer, since 1978! Yes, you read that right. These two lovebirds have been hitched for the past 40 years. That's certainly impressive.

Meanwhile, Will Ferrell has also been married to his wife, Viveca Paulin, for an impressive amount of time (by Hollywood's standards) — 18 years. So, there is not much chance that Meryl will ever actually have anything come out of her celeb crush, but she's just having fun.
