It’s funny considering Mila Kunis is the epitome of a bad mom in her recent movies because in real life, she is so strict with her children. When it comes to their kids, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are determined not to raise terrible children.

Despite the fact that these two are rich and famous actors, they aren’t interested in nannies and they even do their own home improvements. It’s hard to believe in a world of Kardashians that people actually decided to raise their own children. But Kunis and Kutcher are determined to be hands-on parents. Mila Kunis is not interested in being a bad mom in real life. The goal for these two celebrity parents is to raise open-minded children who think about others. With so many spoiled and entitled children out there, she wants to make sure they are raised right. Both Kunis and Kutcher were raised in average-income families, so they understand the value of money. They now have two kids, Dimitri and Wyatt, and seem to be on the right track in raising well-grounded children.  The only issue is, they live in Hollywood and are surrounded by celebs who are raising bratty, spoiled children. Once their kids grow up, they'll have a hard time making friends with other celeb kids because they'll feel like outcasts and won't understand why they have to get part-time jobs when everyone else in their school has a platinum card that mom and card pay for. These kids won't be able to relate to any of the Hollywood brats. While we agree with most of the parenting rules Mila and Ashton abide by, they might want to loosen up a bit if they don't want their kinds to be loners.

Absolutely No Nannies Ever

We always assume that rich and famous celebrities have nannies because that seems to be the norm these days. A lot of celebrities like to have the extra help. When Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis first became parents, they made it clear that they had no intention of getting a nanny.

They wanted to be hands-on parents and that means doing things on their own.

These two have been #relationshipgoals and now they may be #parentinggoals because they are focused on doing what’s right for their children. It’s not just about getting help either. They decided not to hire a nanny because they wanted to get to know their children.  And while that's noble and loving, when these kids grow up, as nice as it is to have a healthy relationship with their parents, their friends might not understand the importance of family dinners and family outings and might not invite Dimitri and Wyatt to their parties.

They Don’t Give Their Kids Christmas Presents

Shocked? Maybe a little bit, but it’s not like their kids aren’t spoiled rotten by the grandparents. Kunis and Kutcher made the decision after their small children were showered with too many gifts. Some people won’t agree with their decision. “We’re instituting [no presents] this year because when the kids are [younger than] 1, it doesn’t really matter,” Kunis says.

“Last year, when we celebrated Christmas, Wyatt was 2, and it was too much. We didn’t give her anything — it was the grandparents. The kid no longer appreciates the one gift. They don’t even know what they’re expecting; they’re just expecting stuff.”

It’s all about the fact that they don’t want their kids to be spoiled. They do have a point, a 1-year-old won’t even remember what she got for Christmas. Hopefully, they'll start giving their kids presents as they get older because how awkward will it be when they're hanging out with Blue Ivy who got an island for Christmas and Dimitri and Wyatt got peanuts.

Date Night Is Non-Negotiable

Many people believe that when you’re parents, you have to focus only on the children. Sometimes, the marriage is forgotten when you’re too busy running after children and once you hit the sack exhausted, the last thing you want to think about is getting intimate with your partner. For Ashton Kutcher, though, he believes that nurturing his partner is going to make her a better parent. You have to take care of your marriage if you are ever going to have hope of keeping the family healthy and together. Kutcher makes sure that he literally schedules time for his intimate life.

“The number one thing I work on in the entire world is my relationship with my wife and my relationship with my kids,”

Kutcher said during a keynote address at the Third Annual City Summit in Hollywood. “It’s the most important factor and thing that I have in life.” This is very sweet, but we have to think of how awkward it might be for Dimitri and Wyatt when their friends ask about the paparazzi photos of their parents making out out in public.

Mila Kunis Always Plans Activities For Kids When She’s Working

Mila Kunis knows that juggling work and a family is not easy and at first, she was a little stressed over it. But now that the second child has come, she’s gotten the hang of it. When she’s working, the kids come with her and she’s a firm believer that the kids should be having fun while she’s working. She’s all about creating fun activities for the kids. “I can write you a book on kid-friendly activities anywhere in the world,” she says. “Because that’s what we do.

We used to be like, ‘What’s the coolest club?’ and now, I’m like, ‘Let me tell you about the zoo in Atlanta and the bouncy house.’ There’s not one kid activity that I haven’t done yet with my child!”

She seems to have her priorities in check. Everyone loves a mom that spends quality time with her kids, but here's hoping that as they get older, Mila will be okay with letting go a little bit. Moms can get overly protective and attached to their kids, so Mila will have to learn to let her kids do their own thing if she wants them to have a healthy social life.

Ashton Kutcher Doesn’t Work Weekends

For Kutcher, he's stated that his family is his priority now and work comes last. He made the decision to schedule in time for his family and when there are things going on for his kids, those dates are never changed, even for work. He no longer works weekends because that’s the time that he spends with his family and he doesn’t want to miss any moments.

“One thing I do is schedule my intimate life. I schedule my time with my kids. I make those blocks, hard and fast in my calendar, and I don’t move them. Generally speaking, my weekends are off limits. I spend that time with my kids.”

It’s important for him to have his kids come first and he doesn’t care what’s going on with work. It’s great to see that kind of focus with celebrity parents. Let's just hope, though, that once Dimitri and Wyatt start high school, their parents will let them hang out with their friends on Saturdays or else Mila and Ashton will be their only friends growing up — that's just sad.

Their Children Must Share

We all want those kinds of traits in our children; we try as best we can to help them understand the value of sharing with others. It’s not always easy with children who attach themselves to certain things. For Kutcher, he likes being home to see these moments with his children and he never wants to miss out on anything. It’s important for him to be part of the actual parenting of his children.

“Watching my daughter make a decision about whether or not she’s going to share a cookie is a weird thing. I’m like, ‘Cool, you just made a sacrifice.’

If nothing else comes from my kids, let it be understanding how to make sacrifices and be generous. To me, those are the most memorable things.” These are great lessons to teach their kids, but let's just hope the Hollywood brats don't take advantage of Dimitri and Wyatt's generosity. Mila and Ashton's kids will be the nicest in school, so we're hoping they also inherited Mila's sassiness and learn how to defend themselves.

The Kutchers Go To The Library

You would think with celebrities that they would either have their own personal library at home or that they would just hit up a local Barnes & Noble and just buy any book their child desires. They could certainly afford their own library. The Kutchers don’t see it that way, however, they believe that going to the library is more than enough. The books can be returned and more books taken out. Mila Kunis is a self-proclaimed cheapskate, so for her, she probably doesn’t want to spend thousands on books when she can read them for free.

“We have a public library card everywhere we go. When it's really hot outside, we go to the library and read books.”

It’s hard to believe that these two are rich celebrities. While we couldn't be happier to hear that Mila and Ashton believe reading is a necessary past-time for their kids, we hope that Dimitri and Wyatt won't spend all of their time with their nose in a book. They need to learn how to socialize and make friends, even if that means making friends with other celeb kids.

Their Children Will Not Be Spoiled

We are definitely in an era where we are seeing 1-year-olds walking around in Chanel and 16-year-olds getting their first Lamborghini and we have all had the same thought in our heads: Is it really okay to just give our children everything they want? It’s not even the children's fault — rich celebrity parents just give their children everything whether they need it or not. Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher have no intention of spoiling their children or handing them everything in life. We’ve already seen them take out the idea of giving their children Christmas presents. In an interview, Kunis explained exactly why she’s not allowing her children to think they are rich.

“It’s a matter of teaching them from a very early age that, you know, ‘Mommy and Daddy may have a dollar, but you’re poor. You are very poor, you have nothing.

Mommy and Daddy have a bank account.’" That's a great way to teach your kids to have ambition and goals — to work hard for their own money. However, not being even a little bit spoiled might ostracize Dimitri and Wyatt from all the other kids in Hollywood. At the end of the day, we all know Dimitri and Wyatt have a trust fund.

Their Children Will Learn How To Make Money On Their Own

Both Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis came from poor upbringings. Kunis has stated on more than one occasion how she often had tomato soup for dinner. Both she and Kutcher, with an estimated combined worth of $170 million, earned every dollar that came their way, so they want their children to know what it means to pave their own way as well instead of having everything handed to them. Kunis has stated that the fact that her children will never know a struggle is bittersweet.

“On one hand it's beautiful, they'll never know what it's like to have Ketchup soup for dinner, but they'll never know how to appreciate things."

Kunis wears a $90 wedding ring on her finger, so she’s definitely not the kind of person that wants lavish things. “We both came from pretty solid poverty backgrounds and grew up very poor. Nothing's been handed to us.” Of course we can understand the dilemma of having to raise humble kids in Hollywood when you're rich, but we're hoping that Mila and Ashton will at least help their kids emotionally and somewhat financially when they start paving their way.

They Want Their Children To Know How The World Works

Many parents, especially celebrity parents could learn a lot from these two and maybe these values should be followed by everyone. They don’t just want their children to learn how to earn a dollar, but also to know the value of earning it. Parents who spoil their children end up raising kids who don’t know how the world works. If you’ve never had to earn your own way, then you never know the struggle of paving your own way in the world. The decisions being made by the Kutchers are things that everyone should follow. That’s why they are going to the library instead of buying their kids all the books that they want. It’s also why their kids are being raised to think they are poor as well. They will be better off for it. However, as parents, it's also important to protect them and help them keep their innocence for as long as possible.

They Don’t Want Them to Eat Any Sugar

Now, that can be a hard one for children because when you’re young that’s what you want to do and really, it doesn’t hurt to allow some sugar into your child’s life. During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, Ashton Kutcher claimed that he and Mila might not allow their children to have sugar, even if it’s Easter.

"We didn't want to put candy in it because she's 1-and-a-half and she's not quite ready —we're not quite ready for her to be ready for candy, so we did Cheerios and raisins,"

he said of the Easter egg hunt they set up for Wyatt. We almost feel sorry for the kids. It’s only Easter and maybe on that day, they should be allowed a little chocolate. Some people may think that the Kutchers may just be a little too strict.

They’re Not Sure About The Easter Bunny

It can be hard for parents to want to teach their kids about the Easter bunny because just like Santa, it’s not real. In a sense, we’re all lying to our children and some of us aren’t even sure why we're doing it. The Kutchers haven’t decided if they even want to do the whole Easter bunny thing with their kids.

“We had a legitimate conversation as to whether or not we're going to go down that path. Like we think we're going Santa Claus, but we don't know about the bunny. It's up in the air. It's tough because it's like, 'Why is a bunny laying eggs?

Mommy, does a bunny lay eggs?' 'No, but the Easter bunny does.'" We get it, it doesn't make sense, but when Dimitri and Wyatt start school, they're going to feel confused and so left out if they weren't raised with Santa and the Easter bunny. What if they tell the other kids that these are just fictional characters? Mila and Ashton are going to have a hard time making friends with other parents.

They Never Share Baby Photos

Well, there is a long line of celebrities that would agree with them and just as long of a list of celebrities who do sell their baby photos. When their little girl Wyatt was born, they were adamant about not sharing any baby photos of their child. It wasn’t until a year later that they posted a picture of their child on Instagram. Many people wondered why the couple decided to share pictures after they were determined not to do it. It turns out that Ashton Kutcher wanted to raise awareness of his organization Red Sand Project that fights against human trafficking. Notice the red sand in the picture. We guess they will make an exception if it’s for a good cause. Aside from moments like that, you won’t see these celebrities selling their photos to magazines. While it is for a good cause, it just seems like Ashton uses his kid to gain attention and that doesn't make him any better than the Kardashians.

Kunis And Kutcher Want Open-Minded Children

When it comes to raising their children, they have a lot of expectations for them, one of which happens to be the desire to raise open-minded children. That’s not always the easiest thing to do when society is telling our children to think one way when we want them to think another.

“I grew up so poor that I was like, "Does anybody drink ketchup with water for soup? Everything – information, material things – will be so accessible to my kids, because it’s the lifestyle they will know.

How do you make them appreciative of the things they have? We took our nieces to Skid Row, drove through, and were like, 'Welcome to LA!' It’s a good reality check for any kid.” Raising open-minded children is very important, but we just hope that Mila and Ashton don't take it too far. If they want their kids to make friends, especially in high school, they can't be solely focused on being activists. They need to live somewhat of a normal teenage life, too.

They Make Mistakes As Parents And That’s Okay

Unfortunately, none of us can escape making a mistake at some point in parenting. Mila Kunis accidentally started driving one time without buckling her child in. "I was like, oh, f*ck me," she told Babble. "And I'm on the 101, and she's just like blah, like fine in her car seat, nothing, no strap whatsoever. And I think I just turned white." Although she pulled over immediately to strap Wyatt in correctly, it wasn't until about a year later that she realized she shouldn't beat herself up over the mistake so harshly because her husband ended up making the same exact error. "And I was like thank God, I wasn't alone."
