Is Kate Middleton jealous of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love and relationship? Well, it depends on who you ask. But at the same time, there’ no denying that there are plenty of differences between Kate Middleton and Prince William’s courtship, compared to that of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Everything, from the way they pose, to the way they dress and even their body language say that these two couples are nothing like one another. They might be future leaders of the British royal family, but behind closed doors, their relationships and family ties might tell a very different story.

Before Prince Harry began dating Meghan Markle, he was very close to his sister-in-law, Kate. In fact, a lot of royal observers have even noticed that Prince Harry was the one person in the family who could make the Duchess easily smile or laugh at any given moment. In fact, she seemed to respond better to Prince Harry than her own husband Prince William during their royal engagements and public appearances.

So what has changed now? Plenty. Kate knows the moment she laughs in Prince Harry’s direction, the media will pick up on it as flirting. And that is the last thing she wants. Here is why Kate Middleton will have to get used to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry taking the spotlight from her from now on.

He’s Only Got Eyes For Meghan

Now, Kate Middleton has never gone on the record to say that she is jealous of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s love. But at the same time, you can tell there are significant differences in the way Harry treats his fiancée and the way that William has always treated Kate Middleton. For starters, Harry only has eyes for Meghan. William, on the other hand, usually looks very stiff and uncomfortable whenever he is in public with his wife by his side. If that weren’t enough, he also keeps in touch with his exes, which is something that Harry doesn’t do.

Even Britain’s The Sun writes, “You'd have to guess at the suppressed passion lurking behind some of the shots of the Queen and Prince Philip and even William and Kate but in Harry and Meghan's shots all the [...] attraction and love are there on display in a style normally seen in ads for a new TV mini-series."

When you look at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement photos, you see passion, love, and desire. You also see a Hollywood-savvy woman who knows how to look at a camera. You see two people who are totally into one another. What’s more, they are also not afraid to show the world just how much they want to be with one another. Unfortunately, the same can’t be said about Prince William and Kate Middleton’s engagement photos, which look very stiff and boring in comparison, according to most critics.

It’s safe to say that Harry and Meghan definitely blew them out of the water with their photos.

“I have been writing about and analyzing the pair for some time now, and what’s been clear from the outset is that their love and respect for each other is genuine from their non-verbal behavior,” Darren Stanton told The Independent. “When people are getting on well either as friends, colleagues or as romantic partners, we see a naturally occurring process called matching and mirroring. It’s when two or more people match each other’s postures, gestures and behaviors. The pair are very much in this state a lot of the time indicating genuine deep rapport between the two.”

A lot of people will agree that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s body language was very telling during their first joint interview together in front of the cameras. While a lot of what they said was probably pre-scripted or practiced beforehand (like many celebrities do before their interviews), the way Harry and Meghan interacted with one another said some things that words simply couldn’t describe. Harry was obviously playing off of Meghan’s energy and in a very positive way, too.

Whereas Prince William and Kate Middleton are very reserved and guarded when it comes to showing their feelings, Harry has picked up on Meghan’s joyful interactions. Let’s just say there’s a huge difference between Meghan’s American traits and habits and Kate’s stiff British behavior in public. There’s no denying it.

Body language expert Darren Stanton told The Independent, “I saw lots of really nice moments in this interview. Meghan clasps Harry’s hand throughout the interview, it’s like she doesn't want to lose touch with him for a second. There’s also lots of gazing into each other’s eyes – while normal eye contact lasts for three to five seconds, Stanton explains that prolonged eye contact is reserved for those we truly love.”

The Way She Looks At Him

Whenever Meghan Markle looks at her Prince Charming, you can see the stars in her eyes. Now, this can definitely be up for debate, but many people would agree that Meghan is definitely head over heels in love with Prince Harry. The same can be said about Harry, who simply can’t take his eyes off of his American princess. After all, it took Prince Harry several years to finally find “the one” that he wanted to settle with for the rest of his life. He is giving this relationship his all and of course, wants it to succeed as much as Meghan does. With that being said, Harry is making sure that Meghan feels very comfortable in her new role as a member of the British royal family. He also wants to make sure that her transition from being a Hollywood star to a royal is an easy one, despite the hurdles and obstacles that lay ahead for her.

Myka Meier, royal etiquette expert, tells The Huffington Post, “Meghan is clearly already a part of the family. Her posture showed confidence, her eye contact with the other royals means she’s on their level, and her newly polished look suggests she’s embracing both the British culture and the position.”

His ‘Most Eligible Bachelor In The World’ Title

Back when Kate Middleton was still dating Prince William, he was considered one of the most desirable men on the planet. After all, he was a prince, he was charming, and he was indeed very good looking. But that all changed the moment the Duke and Duchess tied the knot. Slowly but surely William’s heartthrob looks began to fade. As a result, his Most Eligible Bachelor title was passed on to his little brother, Prince Harry. Now, we don’t know this for sure, but Kate might be a bit jealous that Meghan is now dating the more popular prince, if you know what we mean. Everybody wants to go to the same parties that Prince Harry attends. Prince William, meanwhile, is busting a few bad dad dance moves in the corner of some Swiss nightclub. Yes, by now we have all seen the videos!

But then again, Kate can easily surprise us and be that big royal sister that Meghan probably needs in her life right now. “The duchess has already gone through the transformation that Meghan is currently undergoing,” Meier said to the Huffington Post.

Back when Prince William and Kate Middleton were dating, everyone knew what Kate was about. That’s because it took William a very long time before he finally bit the bullet and decided to get married. As a matter of fact, the British press had at one point nicknamed her “Kaitey Waitey” simply because she waited so long for Prince William to propose to her. Any other woman in her shoes would have left a long time ago. But that doesn’t seem to be the case with Meghan Markle at all.

Prince Harry actually pursued Meghan and it didn’t take very long for their relationship to move forward with lightning speed. In less than two years, they met, have fallen in love, gotten engaged and are preparing for their much anticipated royal wedding.

When it comes to the media, a lot of celebrities in the entertainment world know that they can put together carefully crafted statements to say in front of the cameras and get away with most of it. A lot of people will believe whatever happens to come out of their mouths. But not every Hollywood actor is very skilled and talented, if you know what we mean. Meghan might say one thing, but her body language will say another. The same applies to Prince Harry. Prince William isn’t a very “touchy feely” guy, if you know what we mean. Each and every time he makes one of his public appearances with his wife Kate Middleton, you can see and even feel the distance between them. Now, that’s not to say that they are having problems in their marriage. But at the same time, you can’t really see any sparks flying between them, either. More often than not, William even refuses to hold Kate Middleton’s hand or make any subtle or warm gestures in her direction. As a matter of fact, royal fans have never really seen Prince William act like a true prince charming in front of his wife. Either he does it behind closed doors or he simply doesn’t do it at all in his marriage.

Of course, this situation was very similar between Prince William and Kate Middleton in their first interview nearly seven years ago! Here’s another huge difference between Prince Harry and Prince William: Harry plans on wearing his wedding ring after he marries Meghan Markle. Prince William, on the other hand, refuses to do so. The official excuse is that he doesn’t feel comfortable wearing jewelry in public. With that being said, a lot of people have pointed out that William could easily wear his wedding ring around his neck or at least make an effort to be seen with it in public. But he stubbornly refuses to be seen with it no matter what, prompting speculation about the state of his marriage behind closed doors. After all, Prince William certainly knows that the world is watching him. The least he could do is wear his wedding ring.

For one thing, a source says, Harry does want to wear a wedding band, unlike his older brother William, who prefers to go without one.”

He’s Very Protective Of Her

As many royal fans and critics know by now, the British media has been giving Meghan Markle a very hard time before of her bi-racial background. In fact, there are event certain members of the royal family who have sent not so subtle hints that they haven’t been very accommodating to Meghan (do us a favor and look up Princess Michael of Kent). Fortunately, Prince Harry has been fiercely protective of Meghan. He’s even given the cold shoulder to the British press just because of the way they’ve so far treated her. He is making it pretty clear that if they don’t respect Meghan Markle for who she is and where she comes from, he is not going to give any respect in return. Now that’s what you call a royal prince!

During their Sky News interview, Harry explained, “I know that I’m in love with this girl and I hope that she’s in love with me. But we still had to sit down on the sofa and have some pretty frank conversations with her to say, ‘What you’re letting yourself in for, it’s a big deal. It’s not easy for anybody.’ I know that at the end of the day, she chooses me, and I choose her. And therefore, whatever we have to tackle together, or individually, it’ll always be us together as a team.”

They Are Full Of Passion

Truth be told, we can’t remember the last time the words “hot” and “sizzling” were written in the same sentence as Prince William and Kate Middleton’s names. As a matter of fact, we don’t think anyone on this planet has ever referred to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge as a hot and sizzling couple. They are royal. They are regal. They look like a fine British couple and family with two small children. But we wouldn’t necessarily call them passionate. And we certainly wouldn’t describe their love as being on fire. But with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, you can see it from several miles away. Of course, every woman wants to feel wanted by their man. It wouldn’t surprise us if Kate Middleton still felt this way about William but secretly hoped that he would reciprocate it in some way.

But if there is one edge that Meghan Markle has over Kate Middleton, it’s that she’s more media savvy. She knows how to pose for a camera. She knows what to say to the media. And she certainly knows how to sell an image. Unfortunately, this is something that the Duchess of Cambridge is still learning on her own, even though she’s been on the job for several long years now. This might also be the reason why Meghan doesn’t need extensive training in princess preparation. That’s because she’s been preparing for this role her entire life.

Meghan first told Vanity Fair magazine, “We’re a couple. We’re in love. I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time. This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”

Meghan Is More Well Spoken, Too

If that weren’t enough, Meghan is also very well spoken. Kate Middleton might have the royal touch when it comes to her style, but she’s still lacking in the public speaking department. Now, again, we don’t want to say that Kate is envious, but there’s a strong possibility that she might be envious that certain words just come so much easier for Meghan. Considering how she’s been prepping for interviews most of her life, Meghan knows what to say at any given moment. And she says things damn well, too, as we all noticed during her first televised interview with Prince Harry.

Speaking about the night that Prince Harry proposed to her, Meghan said, “Just a cozy night, it was, what were we doing, just roasting chicken, trying to roast a chicken… It was an amazing surprise. It was so sweet and natural. Very romantic. He got on one knee.”

According to Elle UK, Harry added, “It happened a few weeks ago, earlier this month… it was here at our cottage. It was a standard, typical night for us. It was a nice moment, it was the two of us. I think I managed to catch her by surprise as well.”

Their Couples’ Style

If all of the above weren’t enough, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are also making headlines for their impeccable couple style. That’s right: Harry and Meghan are fast becoming the new David and Victoria Beckham of the fashion world. When they step out together, they look incredible in their his-and-hers ensembles. And while Kate Middleton has always made headlines for her fashion choices, Prince William has been left out in the cold. Simply put, they don’t match the same way Harry and Meghan do. Harry and Meg are a power couple. They are a team, and they are partners. The same can’t be said about William and Kate and for that reason alone, the Duchess might be a little bit jealous. What’s more, Meghan has also done a pretty good job of influencing Harry not only with his new style, but with his attitude, too. And needless to say, fans are loving it.

Their Energy

Last but not least, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have incredible energy and it’s most apparent that they move with lightning force whenever they are in public. But then again, that’s what couples in love do, right? In comparison, a lot of royal critics have called Prince William and Kate Middleton low energy. In fact, they are so low energy, that they’ve often been called the laziest couple in British royal history. And that’s not a title or a reputation that anyone would want. We have a feeling that Prince Harry and Meghan will definitely surpass the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, especially when it comes to their royal workload and engagements.

Speaking about how they met, Harry told Sky News in their interview, “I never watched Suits, I never heard of Meghan before. I was beautifully surprised when I walked into that room and saw her and there she was sitting there. I was like, ‘OK I really have to up my game here.’”

Meghan added, “It was definitely a set up. It was a blind date […] We met for a drink and then very quickly, we said, ‘Well what are we doing tomorrow? We should meet again.’”
