Chrissy Teigen might have overstayed her welcome. At least, that’s what a lot of her critics believe. The supermodel and super social media celebrity has gotten plenty of headlines for all of the quirky things she’s said and done but at the same time, it looks as though her star might be fading. Of course, Chrissy will continue to do whatever she wants and say whatever she wants to say, but it’s up to her fans and social media followers if they want to listen. And from what we can tell so far, it looks like they are surely but slowly tuning out.

When it comes to someone like Chrissy Teigen, it’s really hard to categorize her. She likes to call herself a “de-motivational speaker,” but quite honestly, that might be stretching it a bit. Is she an actress? Is she a model? Is she a celebrity chef and foodie? Or is she just John Legend’s wife? That’s what fans want to know. Whatever the case, it sounds like Chrissy is losing her grip at the top of the celebrity food chain, as people just aren’t buying what she is selling. With that being said, here are 15 reasons why many critics have had enough of Chrissy Teigen.

They Are Tired Of Her Schtick

When it comes to Chrissy Teigen, you pretty much get what you see. There are no surprises. Throughout all of the years that her fans have gotten to know her, Chrissy hasn’t really shown us a different side of her personality. Instead, we get the same celebrity model who likes to tease her fans with her alluring looks on social media or her regular quips on Twitter. If that weren’t enough, she also likes to get into fights with her followers or call out people and point out all of the injustices in the world.

We don’t know who gave Chrissy her soapbox, but a lot of fans would agree that it’s time for someone to take it away from her. In other words, many are tired of the same old schtick she’s been giving us for years.

According to Brainy Quotes, Chrissy once said, “I tweet from bed. I love it because it's so quick. And it's funny. But it also leaves a lot of room for error because new people don't sense the sarcasm – there's no sarcasm font.If you share everything and make fun of yourself, then other people won’t make the joke, because you’ve already made it.”

They Are Tired Of Her Know-It-All Personality

Like we mentioned above, Chrissy must think that someone must have appointed her to become the spokesperson of the universe. Because whenever there is a major event happening somewhere in the world, you better bet your bottom dollar that Chrissy will have something to say about it. She almost always does.

But at the same time, people are really tired of her know-it-all personality. To put it rather bluntly, no one has really asked Chrissy for her opinion, yet she is giving it to us anyway. And now people just want her to stop tweeting and sharing everything that’s on her mind and focus on things that are more important, like her family. But Chrissy doesn’t see it this way. She really thinks that her critics are out to get her and that people just want her silenced.

Chrissy told Cosmopolitan in an interview, “Men are very tough, very critical of me. I think they expect you to basically just be a picture. They don’t want to hear you speak. Women, I love. It’s amazing to me, because I am a swimsuit model [...] I just love the fact that women love me, and it makes me love them so much back.”

She’s Not An A-List Star

When it comes to Chrissy Teigen, truth be told, it’s really hard to categorize her. Now, it’s not that we would want to put her in a box, but we simply don’t know what to call her. Is she a model? Is she an actress? Is she just a celebrity who loves to tweet and post photos on Instagram all day? Many of her fans would say that it’s a combination of all three. But mostly, she’s just someone who loves to stay in the headlines, no matter what. If there is a feud going on between two people (who she might not even personally know) you better believe that she will have something to say about it.

She told the Today Show, “Anyone in the public eye, we have all the help we could ever need to be able to shed everything. So I think people get this jaded sensation that everybody’s losing it so quickly, but we just happen to be the ones who are out there. We have nutritionists, we have dieticians, we have trainers, we have our own schedules, we have nannies. We have people who make it possible for us to get back into shape. But nobody should feel like that’s normal, or like that’s realistic.”

She’s Not An A-List Model

When it comes to supermodels, the first name that crosses a lot of people’s minds is Gigi Hadid. Sure, Gigi might be the pure definition of nepotism, but that’s the kind of celebrity world that we live in today. And when it comes to Chrissy, you can’t really say that she’s a super model. Heck, she’s not even an A-list model. She’s never done a runway and she’s certainly never starred in her own print ad or campaign. The most she has ever done was grace the cover of Sports Illustrated but that was already several years ago. Since then, Chrissy hasn’t really done much modeling, or anything else, for that matter.

At the same time, though, Chrissy knows that the modeling world was never for her. She could never fit in with the other girls, especially when it came to looks or personality.

According to Brainy Quotes, Chrissy once said, “I feel badly for those girls who have to be so waif thin, doing those catwalks all the time because, luckily, we're going into a different time - that's what they're saying, at least – in we're appreciating a curvier figure. But to be honest, I couldn't be like an hourglass if I tried.”

She’s Not Really A Celebrity Foodie

And while we can go on and on all day about whether or not Chrissy is a real model or not, there are also a lot of people who can’t help but wonder if she’s a celebrity foodie. In fact, we are only saying that because it’s really hard to describe what Chrissy is doing in the world of food. She loves to talk about how much she loves cooking, she’s shared plenty of her recipes with her fans and she often shares her dinner on Instagram. But is she really a chef? Does she have the qualifications to be one or even talk about it with her fans? That’s what fans can’t help but wonder.

Chrissy once told Self Magazine, “It always bothered me when someone would interview a model and say, ‘What do you do to stay in shape?’ and she would say, ‘I love to eat pizza; I love to indulge.’ I’ve always been the first one to say, ‘Bulls—! No you don’t.’ So I’ve been hyperaware of that, and I waited years to write a cookbook because I wanted people to know I really do love food.” [She eats what she wants but stays active] I like having that balance.”

She Has Nothing To Offer

Simply put, there are a lot of critics out there that feel Chrissy has nothing to offer the world except for her Twitter quips and spats and her personal opinion. That, and she knows how to pose for the camera. But other than those qualities, is there anything else of significance that Chrissy can do? That’s what a lot of her critics have been asking for years now. As many people already know, the celebrity world and the entertainment industry are brutal. One day you are in, the next day you are out. In fact, a lot of people are already surprised that someone like Chrissy has managed to stay in the spotlight for this long, considering the fact that she really doesn’t do much.

With all of that being said though, Chrissy still loves to talk about what she likes to eat and what she doesn’t like to eat – regardless if you ask her about her opinion or not.

She told The Daily Beast, “Some people, I think, think that because I don t take it as seriously as a lot of the girls do, that I frown upon modeling or think it’s stupid. I don’t at all. This is my life. I would be nothing without this. But I really don’t take it seriously.”

Her Twitter Spats Are Boring

By now, everyone knows that Chrissy Teigen loves to fight with her Twitter followers. We also know that she’s been blocked by none other than the President of the United States. But seriously: what adult with two small children at home and a husband has the time to read every little comment that is said about her on social media? Normally, people have day jobs that they go to everyday and have to worry about stuff like preparing dinner for their families every night. But apparently, this doesn’t apply to Chrissy.

She loves getting into fights on Twitter. In fact, she sometimes even initiates it. Seriously, how does she have the time for such nonsense?

She told The Today Show, “I can see things coming a mile away. I know that when I post something, if she’s in a car seat, I’ve got to be ready for the million people telling me she’s in the car seat wrong, even though she’s in there correctly. At this point, I know what they’re going to say before they say it. If I’m holding her while I’m cooking, or if I’m holding her within 10 feet of a stove top, I’ve kind of just come to expect it.”

Her Connection To The Kardashians

Here’s another reason why many people are slowly but surely distancing themselves from Chrissy Teigen: they aren’t comfortable with her connection to the Kardashian family. In fact, many people will go as far as saying that Chrissy is a little too close for comfort when it comes to the Kardashian family. And knowing what kind of reputation they have, that’s not necessarily a good thing. I mean, we’ve all seen what the Kardashians are capable of doing (and showing), right? Chrissy has a particularly close relationship with Kris Jenner and as a result, almost always gets invited to Kardashian family functions and events.

If the Kardashians are getting into a fight, you better believe that Chrissy and her man John Legend will be there one way or another. Some people think that the couple just need to take a break from all things Kardashian and find new friends.

Chrissy told People Magazine, “John and I got in the biggest fight at Kim and Kanye’s wedding that you’ve ever seen in your whole life. We got into the biggest fight – I was like just stop texting me – go enjoy the wedding, cause you’re making me feel so bad, and I’m so fat!’”

Is She Really Keeping Things Real?

The one thing about Chrissy Teigen is that she wants the world to believe that she is one celebrity who keeps things real. No, she didn’t lose all of the baby weight right after she gave birth at the hospital. No, she didn’t wake up looking this way. And no, her marriage to John Legend is not perfect. Chrissy wants people to believe that she has the same problems that everyday people have and that she’s a flawed human being. And while we do believe most of that part, we also know that the world that Chrissy shows us a very carefully crafted and curated image. She’s in control of what she shows us and that might not always be the truth. After all, every photo of her without any makeup on still looks incredible, right?

Chrissy once told DuJour Magazine, “I feel like sometimes when people give birth, they give birth to a tiny part of their brain. Whatever they thought they would be goes out the window and they kind of lose their minds. I am 1,000 percent not going to have an Instagram account for my baby. It will not have a hashtag. If I have a hashtag for my baby, just kill me.”

She’s Less Authentic Than Before

At one point, we really did want to believe in Chrissy Teigen and even rooted for her. But as her critics can tell you, that moment didn’t last very long. She just talks way too much about things that should otherwise be kept well hidden from the public. No, her fans don’t need to know about each and every time she and her husband John get busy between the sheets. No, we don’t need to know about her bowel movements. And we certainly don’t need to know about every little thing that goes in her mouth throughout the day, either.

It’s as if she loves all the attention that she gets… for basically doing nothing but sharing her opinion. It doesn’t make sense, but that’s how the celebrity world looks like today.

On maintaining a healthy relationship with her husband John, Chrissy told InStyle Magazine, “I’m much luckier to have John’s personality in my life than he is to have mine. He is insanely patient and such a dork, and he loves seeing me happy, even if that means watching The Real Housewives of Dallas with me for two and a half hours. I mean, I don’t care about half the [stuff] he’s doing either. But there’s a balance.”

Lack Of Reinvention

The one thing about Chrissy Teigen that has many fans concerned the most, is her lack of reinvention. Basically, Chrissy really hasn’t changed or matured much in the last few years. The only difference between the Chrissy of today and the Chrissy of yesterday is that she’s now a mother of two. Otherwise, it’s the same old Chrissy. Sure, that might be something that her husband John doesn’t mind, but when you want to keep up with the rest of the celebrity world, you have to offer some sort of change. And that simply hasn’t happened with the model. Thankfully, at least her husband still loves her for who she is – even if her critics have plenty of things to say about her – good or bad, that is.

When John was asked if it was love at first sight between him and Chrissy, he told LA Confidential, “Not right away. I’m more cautious than that. I wasn’t like, ‘This is the woman I’m going to marry’ from day one. For me I’m the kind of person who needs to grow into that feeling. It was probably a couple of years in when I could already see us being together forever.”

Out With The Old, In With The New

The cold, hard and brutal truth about the entertainment world is that you don’t last forever in it. There are only a handful of people who truly go the distance and manage to stay at the top for as long as they have.

Speaking of careers, at least Chrissy knows that her’s was based on pure luck. In other words, she just happened to be at the right place at the right time. Otherwise, no one would even remember her name today.

Chrissy once told Cosmopolitan Magazine, “I’m not going to lie. We hooked up. [When he went on tour] I left him be himself for a while. The worst thing you can do is try to lock someone like that down early on, then have them think, There’s so much more out there. I played it cool for a long time. Never once did I ask, ‘What are we?’ Marriage was never my goal, because I’ve never been very traditional. I was just happy to be with him."

She Tries Too Hard To Shock

Many people would agree that if Chrissy would play her cards right, she would manage to win over both her fans and her critic with just one tweet. But unfortunately, that doesn’t seem to be the case. She just tries too hard to shock. She wants to be the gal who has the most clever zinger each and every time. But the thing is, she often fall flat. And just because you think it, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to say it. Apparently, Chrissy never got the memo on this. She really thinks that people want to hear about her life story, even if she does end up telling it over and over again. But the truth is, we are over it. It’s time for her to really think up of something different. Her critics are done and out and moving on.

Here’s what Chrissy told Marie Claire about being too honest sometimes: “I’m the person who had the fake ID in high school and college, and I would show it and be like, ‘I’m sorry; it’s fake,’ and run off. I don’t know if it’s way too honest or way too anxious – maybe it’s a combo of both.”

She Doesn’t Make Much Sense

Simply put, Chrissy doesn’t make much sense. After all, she’s not a model with a degree. The thing about Chrissy is that she truly thinks she can talk about any topic in the world and that people will listen to what she has to say. Oftentimes she goes off on a tangent with many of her fans not knowing what to make out of the things she says. In other words, it really is time to put a lid on it.

Chrissy once said in an interview (according to Us Weekly): It's funny because I want my teeth to be, like, neon Real Housewives white, but mine have stopped taking to teeth whitening. When I talk to my dentist, I'm like, 'They can be that white,' and he's like, 'Veneers can be that white.'”

Um, okay. It’s no wonder that so many of her social media followers are moving on. We would hate to be the ones to break this to you Chrissy, but there are much more important things in this world than the color of your teeth. Many of her critics have even said that if she does have this much time on her hands, she would be better off doing something useful for this world, like volunteering or doing charity work.

Her Fans Want To See Her Grow Up

And it’s especially difficult for female celebrities. That’s because they know all too well that they can easily be replaced by younger, more attractive celebrities who are just starting out in their careers. What’s more, her fans desperately want to see her grow up. After all, she is a proud wife and mother of two very beautiful babies. With her platform, she could do so much more for the world. Instead, she talks about things that people really don’t care about or even want to know for that matter. It’s boring, it’s been said so many times, and quite frankly, it’s time for something news. Got that, Chrissy? Show us a different side of what you’ve got!

Speaking about her marriage to John Legend, Chrissy told Cosmo back in 2015, "We’re very okay with PDA. When we go to a restaurant, he loves when I wear a dress, so he can do some [...] thigh rubbing. I got so lucky that I met Brooklyn Decker and she [hooked me up with] Sports Illustrated. I got so lucky that I met John, who propelled my career. I’m not delusional: that definitely helped.”
