When Beyoncé was seen as the standout member of Destiny's Child, people weren't surprised that she was going to try and branch out to become a solo artist. During the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards, Beyoncé literally turned her pregnancy into a grand unveiling after she performed her newest hit, "Love On Top."

It became a huge spectacle and such a commercialized moment for her to promote her new baby (and new album). This sort of commercializing her own baby isn't exactly giving high hopes for the future.

Ridiculous Birth Details

Every woman's ideal birthing environment is different, with some people wanting to opt for a home birth and others feeling far more comfortable with a hospital birth. Yet, the case of Beyoncé and Jay-Z seemed a bit extreme. When Jay-Z and Beyoncé were set to give birth to their first child, Blue Ivy, they reportedly spent $1.3 million to rent out the entire floor at the Lenox Hill hospital. There were even reports that came out from the other patients at the hospital and the media attention wasn't good. The Today Show reported that there were two separate complaints that came into Manhattan's Lenox Hill Hospital, with some saying that the security guards were blocking parents from seeing their own babies.

There was an investigation into the matter and the complaints were dismissed but details surrounding her birth were quite alarming.

The security cameras had tape placed over them, there were extra security guards located on the floor, and there were even reports that the guards were routing traffic within the hospital.

Ridiculous Couture Decadence For Her Kids

Celebrities are often expected to really show off a bit of glitz and glamour during their red-carpet events. The public loves seeing all the different high fashion designs that really add to the sparkle of Hollywood and they can appreciate the decadence of their favorite stars. Yet, it's seen in a completely different way when this same sort of decadence is bestowed on children. The public was quick to turn on Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' daughter, Suri, since their extravagant spending on her wardrobe seemed excessive.

In Blue Ivy's case, the list of her most expensive ensembles just keeps getting longer and longer. Blue's Mischka Aoki tulle dress cost just under $11,000 and that's not even her most expensive ensemble.

In a world filled with so many impoverished kids, this sort of decadence isn't exactly instilling the best values.

Trademark For Blue Ivy

There are a number of celebrities that have been accused of exploiting their children in the pursuit of fame or trying to commercialize their worth in order to boost themselves. Yet, people have staunchly denied these claims and have done everything in their power to discourage people from thinking that about their parenting actions. Yet, it's hard to deny it in the case of Beyoncé and Jay-Z. Before Blue Ivy could even speak, her parents were trying to trademark her name. Rolling Stone reported,

"The superstar couple filed a petition to trademark the name 'Blue Ivy' shortly after their daughter was born in January,

seeking to reserve it for use as a possible brand name for a line of baby-related products, including carriages, diaper bags, and baby cosmetics."

Diva Behavior Already Exhibiting In Blue Ivy

Beyoncé has often been criticized for her diva-like behavior and it seems like she's starting to pass along some of those traits to her daughter, Blue Ivy. Jay-Z and Beyoncé brought Blue Ivy along with them to attend the Grammy Awards in January 2018 and it seemed like she was hell-bent on stealing the show. During much of the event, it didn't look like she was truly enjoying herself, which is understandable considering it's not really thought of as a kid-friendly event. Photographers were hard-pressed to even catch a photo of Blue Ivy smiling since there were few and far between.

While some argued that she wanted to embrace her pregnancy, others felt like she was incorporating it into her show and just commercializing her pregnancy once again.

On top of that, she had a series of pregnancy photos taken and they were almost instantly mocked with a series of memes.

Publicized Elevator Fight

The Met Gala is seen as an ultra-prestigious event that brings together all the biggest names in Hollywood and all the heavy hitters in the fashion industry. While everyone likes to focus on Beyoncé and Jay-Z with their celebrity status, it's important not to pass over Beyoncé's sister, Solange Knowles. She's garnered quite a following as an underground artist and she's been heralded for being a style icon. It should come as no surprise that she would be invited to the 2014 Met Gala but there was a surprising moment during the post-Met Gala party.

Elevator footage was leaked to TMZ and it showed Solange engaging in a heated fight with Jay-Z.

The footage showed her throwing punches, kicks, and lunging for Jay-Z in the tight confines of the elevator. With Beyoncé barely intervening, people couldn't help but speculate on what the argument could have been. The world may never know what the issue was but it doesn't seem like a great environment to raise more children when extreme violence can erupt at any moment.

When Beyoncé referenced "Becky with the good hair," the world went crazy trying to figure out who she could have meant in reference to the woman that was allegedly having an affair with her husband, Jay-Z. It seems like there are always new rumors about his questionable working relationships in the music industry, whether it's with Rita Ora or Rihanna.

With someone that is constantly being questioned about whether or not he is truly monogamous in his marriage, it wouldn't seem like a good idea to include even more children into the equation.

When Jay-Z embarked on a new endeavor to start his own music streaming service, there were high hopes for it. Artists that were contracted to only release their music through TIDAL were underwhelmed by sales and the details surrounding TIDAL's financial struggles have caused some to wonder whether or not Jay-Z is truly a business genius.
