We could just imagine what it must be like to work for these two on a daily basis. We’ve all thought it at least once as we watch this couple in action in the media. They live a glamorous lifestyle and they are both fame hungry, so it adds a little spice to the whole experience. Kim Kardashian is certainly a fan of the girl fights and we know what Kanye West is like when he doesn’t like someone, so imagine when one of their staff does something that they don’t like. We don’t envy them at all, well maybe we envy their paycheque a little bit.

It must be an experience in itself to have the kind of job that means you have to devote your whole life to someone else, especially if you don’t like that person. Who says that people have to love their employer right? They usually don’t.

The staff, including the nannies, are held to a high standard because their bosses are wealthy and have very high expectations. The Closet Has To Stay Pristine At All Times

When you’re an assistant of Kim Kardashian, things can probably get pretty frustrating at times. Here's hoping their staff gets a decent paycheque. Kim is very serious about the standards of her closet and she wants it to be pristine at all times. She has forced the staff to stay up late and organize the closet if necessary.

“Kim’s closet is the holy land in their house, and she wants it to look pristine at all times,” said a source. “She even had staffers stay late at night to organize after returning after an event.”

How depressing would that be, to have to stay late to organize a celebrity’s closet while she heads off to bed? At least it’s not a difficult job, but it’s certainly annoying that staff are expected to do things like that at whatever time she wants.

Kim Kardashian Has Multiple Wardrobe Changes Before She Starts Her Day

One assistant to Kim Kardashian’s claimed that there are multiple wardrobe changes that go on in the morning that an assistant has to endure. Before Kim can even leave the house, she has to go through multiple outfits.

“There will be numerous outfit changes, at least five or six if Kanye is there,” an insider stated. “Kim will either tell one of her assistants to fetch more clothes from the massive closet, or she will do it herself.”

We wonder why this would be an assistant's job. Surely, Kim can manage to get dressed on her own without her assistant's help. We can’t even imagine what it would be like to stand there as she tries on multiple outfits and then keeps asking you to fetch more.

Kim And Kanye Tell Their Staff Where To Walk

Just in case you thought that you could walk on the sidewalk to your own device, you would clearly be wrong. Apparently, when Kim Kardashian and her entourage leave the house, they have to be instructed as to where they can walk while they are out. When it comes to being the nanny, you have to walk in a certain place and don’t even think for a minute that you are getting any attention from the media.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West will be the first to lead their group. She fans out her staff behind her in pure entourage fashion while she is out.

It’s a little weird, but there are a lot of people who would love to be able to walk with an entourage like that one. Imagine yourself in mysterious sunglasses as you walk past a crowd of cameras.

The Assistant Picks Up All Her Clothing

Now that sounds nice, doesn’t it? Especially after all the wardrobe changes in the morning. We could just imagine her trying on clothes and then just letting them fall to the floor as she moves on to the next outfit. Once she's found the perfect outfit, she will whisk herself out the door. One insider claimed that

“Kim will discard the clothes on the floor and never bother to hang them back up!” Why would she? She obviously just snaps her fingers and the assistant takes over right where she left off.

It’s probably not unusual either. There are probably many celebrities who do things like this. Though we also know that there are plenty of celebrities who wouldn’t even dream of having someone put their clothes away for them. If we could hire someone to put our clothes away for us, we'd do it too.

No One Is Allowed To Wear Jewelry

If you are someone that likes to wear jewelry during the day, then you can forget working for the Kardashian-West clan because no staff is allowed to wear any. In 2016, Kim was robbed in Paris and a lot of her jewelry was stolen. The incident left Kim shaken and more than a little disturbed. That’s when the family decided that they had to change things so that no one else in their family was attacked in the future.

Their home is closely guarded and no one in the household is allowed to be wearing any jewelry. That includes the family and any guests that come to visit.

When they say no jewelry, they really mean it, and that include the cheap costume jewelry and even studs. They will make you give up your goods at the door.

The Sweaters Better Be Folded to Perfection Or Else

When it comes to folding and putting clothes away, Kim Kardashian is very particular about how her family’s clothes should be put away. If you don’t do it properly, you’re likely to have to do it all over again. We would hate to see Kim enraged if she saw her sweater being folded incorrectly. One source stated, “Kim is very particular about how she wants sweaters folded, and in one incident, a staffer didn’t do it up to her standards, so Kim took one sweater out of the middle of the stack, completely messing up what was just done.” We are not surprised one bit. It’s actually pretty sad that sweater folding is so important to her. Seriously how bad could it have been, it’s not like it was a child doing it.

The Couple’s Nannies Are Always On Call

There are lots of perks working for a celebrity and from what we hear, they give out monetary bonuses if the children are kept quiet throughout the night. Not to mention they get to live in a plush mansion and be around famous people all the time. They probably eat well and even get a glass of champagne from time to time. As we said, there are lots of perks involved, but it also means that you are going to be working very hard. Nannies are on call all the time, so their social life is going to be pretty much nonexistent. Even if they do decide to go on vacation, the nanny is expected to go with them and watch the children. Again, there is the upside of being able to travel to some pretty luxurious places with the family.

The Staff Is In Charge Of The Animals

We often see the animals that the couple owns on social media and on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. While Kim and Kanye might love their pets, it's the staff that takes care of their fur babies. Kim and Kanye are obviously not the ones cleaning out the litter box. So, the next time you are cooing at the cute little pictures of all their pets, just know that they don't really know what it's like to care for a dog. Don’t get us wrong, Kim and Kanye love their pets, but they just have no interest in the nitty-gritty that’s involved in caring for them. It’s likely the job of the housekeeper to take care of the pets and that includes potty training the dogs.

All Eyes Have To Be On The Children 

You would think the care of the children would be the sole responsibility of the nanny, but that’s not the case at all. When the children are around, every member of the staff is responsible for them. Sometimes, the assistants are dragged in to watch the children if necessary. Both Kim and her sisters have been known to bark orders at their assistants informing them where the most recent mess in the house is.

They don’t wait around for nannies; everyone has to pitch in whether it’s their job or not. Believe it or not, even staff that aren’t involved in the household have often been called to supervise the children.

If only the parents could step in every once in a while, and look after the kids instead of constantly looking for someone else to do their job.

The Staff Doesn’t Get Paid As Well As You Think

What?! We thought that was a perk to working for a rich celeb. Not to mention Kim and Kanye have all the money in the world to pay their staff well. It wouldn’t be the first time we heard that a celebrity didn’t pay their staff very well. No one really knows how much they get paid exactly — even ex-employees haven’t spoken about it. So, why would we think that they don’t pay their staff well? The Kardashian family have been under scrutiny before because of the allegations that they were running sweatshops for their clothing lines. Apparently, some of those clothes are manufactured in a factory in China and the workers are being paid less than ten cents an item. So, if they operate like that, then chances are they don’t have a lot of respect for the people that work for them.

The Staff Have To Work In The Middle Of The Night

When it comes to the Kardashian-West clan, they prefer to have their staff at their beck and call. As dedicated as their staff is, it’s only fair that they get some time to themselves, if nothing else, to de-stress from their own workday. Kim doesn’t see it that way at all, however. When it comes to Kim and Kanye, you have to be there any time that they need you, even if it means showing up in the middle of the night. One assistant admitted having to be available for one of the Kardashians early in the morning, and we do mean early.

“It has to be 24/7. She’ll call me at 2 a.m. and I answer.

I don’t really have set hours. It’s pretty much whenever duty calls.”

The Assistants Have To Do Whatever It Takes

It’s probably the same with any celebrity, however, when it comes to having a personal assistant. We all saw what an assistant has to go through in the movie Devil Wears Prada. It’s pretty common that celebrities like Kim Kardashian will have outrageous demands and the assistant has to do whatever it takes if they want to keep their job. Kim’s assistant, Steph Shepherd, knows exactly what that’s like.

“I say be resourceful. If your boss wants or needs something, you got to do whatever it takes to make it happen. Don’t ask questions, just make it happen. Lastly, I say take notes. Write. It. Down. Even if you think you’re going to remember it in your head, you're not.

We have interns through Jenner Communications, and every time I see an intern not taking notes when they're getting instructions, I’m like, you’re going to mess this up! Just write it down — it's not that hard!"

The Staff Has To Look Good At All Times

Sometimes, staff gets caught in photos with Kim and Kanye; it’s bound to happen if the staff stay employed long enough. It’s unlikely that you will be seen on the reality shows, but the paparazzi are likely to get you in some of the pictures. That means you have to look good at all times.

Even if you don’t make it in some of the pictures, you are still being seen with Kim and her entourage and she doesn’t want to be seen with any slobs.

Former Dash Doll Durrani stated that if you’re in the entourage, then you are representing the family, so you better look the part. “You need to look good, all the time.” We can attest to the fact that Kim’s assistant Steph Shepherd looks so good, she could be a celebrity herself.

They Have Bizarre Requests And You're Expected To Do Them

How bad could it be, really? When it comes to staff, everyone is replaceable, so when it comes to asking their staff to do something regardless of how bizarre it is, they better do it. What kind of things do they ask staff for? Well it could be anything from cleaning up their room to using the staff’s arm as a makeup swatch. What? Seriously, it’s true. Kim Kardashian isn’t about to put makeup on her own arm to test out a color, that’s what her staff is for. She’s not the only one either. Kylie Jenner is another one that posts makeup pictures on her Instagram. We’re not sure who Kim uses for makeup application, but Kylie will ask the housekeeper. “She has the best arm for swatches. She’s so nice and just sits there and has her arm ready and lets me do my thing.”

They Are Likely To Take The Blame

Being a nanny means that you are the one in charge of taking care of the children. Even if Kim and Kanye are there, if something happens to the kids, it’s going to be the fault of the staff. Kim is not about to take responsibility for the grape her child stuck up her nose. That will be the fault of the nanny. That’s going to be the case for any staff member. If something goes wrong, you better believe they are going to pay for it. Steph Shepherd is all too aware of what can happen if she screws up in her job.
