15 Celebs Who Follow Strict Rules To Live Their Healthy Lifestyle

No matter how healthy you think you might be, these celebs are definitely on a whole other level

Tom Brady might not have won the most recent Super Bowl, but with numerous wins under his belt, it’s not a big loss for the football star. He has a stellar career and he claims that it’s all thanks to how he eats and how he works out. While his success is probably attributed to his focus and discipline to practice daily, saying that these things help isn’t too far off. A healthy lifestyle has been proven to increase stamina and energy. It could also be the secret to his stellar and toned figure. No wonder he firmly sticks to it and states that he does not have cheat days. When your body is your income, you’ll work hard to keep it in tip-top shape.

Tom isn’t alone. In fact, it appears that half of the rich-and-famous prefer strict rules that they claim does everything from improving physical performance to banishing cellulite. It might make you want to hop on board, but are you really ready to say goodbye to pancakes forever?

If you thought you were healthy before, you’ll find that you would fail next to these celebs. Not only do they have rules that only allow certain foods on their plate, but they also stick with it. Imagine, not having your favorite foods for years! We’re just kidding, these celebs will probably eat this way for the rest of their lives. Even Karl Lagerfeld, the Chanel designer, is 84 and follows a strict plan. Do you think you’d have what it takes to follow and stick with one of no cheat day plans?

15 Tom Brady Has A Life Of Vegetables

There’s a reason that Tom Brady, even at 40-years old, can play on the football field just as good, if not better than, 20-year-olds. The Football champ has a beyond healthy eating plan and he says that’s the secret to his success as an athlete.

It is designed to increase ‘muscle pliability’ by steering clear of inflammatory foods and focusing on consuming 80% organic vegetables. That means no dairy, gluten, sugar, and very little alcohol. What he does eat are fish, lots of vegetables, minimal fruit, soup broth, and protein shakes. And, Brady sticks with his plan. He won’t even touch ketchup or soy sauce. In his book he wrote, ‘It really doesn’t matter how much exercise you do. If you’re not eating the right food and providing your body with nutrients.’

14 Miley Cyrus From Wild Child To Health Guru

Miley Cyrus has evolved into a health guru and animal rights advocate over the last few years. She’s traded her wild child ways for a vegan meal plan and yoga, which she shares on her Instagram.

She even told Billboard magazine that she’s given up her bad habits.

‘By not consuming animal products over the years I have protected myself from preventable diseases,’ the star wrote on her Instagram feed.

This doesn’t sound like the Miley that we’re used to! It sounds more like a claim from Gwyneth Paltrow. Yet, she’s enjoying her new lifestyle and sticking with it. Some of her favorite foods include smoothies made with fresh fruits and almond milk and vegetable soups made with beans for protein. She avoids gluten and dairy and credits her new lifestyle for her slim physique and toned abs.

13 Jason Statham Trains & Eats Hard

Just one look at Jason Statham and it’s a no-brainer that he takes care of himself inside and out. He works hard on his workout routine and follows a plan that is rich in protein and absolutely does not allow sugar, alcohol, or anything made from flour. Since he eats so healthy, Jason claims that he doesn’t have to work about portions or calories.

“I never gave a F$#% about a calorie. An apple? It’s good for me. I’d have five. Bananas? Eat the bunch.”

As you can imagine his plan is full of vegetables, low-fat protein sources such as chicken, white fish, and nuts. He also drinks 14 to 16 glasses of water each and every single day. He also sticks with a daily (and tough) workout that allows him to continue taking on those physically demanding roles.

12 David Beckham Eats Clean Even When Retired

Similar to most athletes, models, actors, and basically anyone who makes a living off of their body, David Beckham has hired a personal trainer to kick his butt at the gym and fine-tune his food in the kitchen. Granted, Beckham has retired from soccer, but that hasn’t put an end to his modeling contracts or toned abs.

So, he follows a strict set of rules to keep him in tip-top shape. His food is high in protein and healthy fats such as yogurt and olive oil to ensure proper muscle formation when he hits the gym. He loads up on the leafy greens and enjoys other vegetables and whole grains as his carbohydrates. He also stays away from sugar and processed grains. So, instead of muffins, he’ll reach for apples or cashew nuts for a snack.

11 Rose Huntington Wheatly Doesn't Do Wheat

“I miss a lot of things. I miss a glass of wine. I miss my cheese plates. I miss my croissants.”

Wow! To hear Rosie Huntington Wheatley talk about how much she misses comfort food (and drinks) it kind of makes you sad. The model and actress follows a plan from naturopathic doctor Nigma Talib. That means no dairy, gluten, alcohol, or sugar. Yes, we can see how foods like wine and croissants would be a problem. Yet, for Rosie, it has transformed her.

“I can feel it in my skin. I can feel it in my body. I feel lean right now, and I feel strong and energized.”

When she puts it that way, it sounds like her elimination tactics might actually be worth it. No wonder she posts pictures of her homemade juices instead of red wine. Of course, considering the fact that she's a model, it's to be expected. Working out is also very important for her health and her body, in order to remain in the spotlight.

10 Marilyn Monroe Didn't Eat Until Dinner

Perhaps one of the saddest and weirdest things that we’ve come across comes from Marilyn Monroe. The curvaceous movie star was constantly being told to be wary of becoming too plump. So, to stay slim she worked out just as Hollywood does today.

She gave details about it to ‘Pageant Magazine’ in 1952. “I spend at least 10 minutes each morning working out with small weights,” Marilyn told the magazine.

Then, the actress detailed her daily meals. For breakfast she had a cup of warm milk mixed with two eggs and a multi-vitamin. Marilyn didn’t mention lunch, but went straight to dinner, which she stated as being broiled steak with raw carrots. As bizarre as it sounds, it’s basically the same whole food high protein plan that most stars follow today. Plus, it’s gluten and sugar free.

9 Beyoncé Is Waiting To Get Out

Beyoncé made headlines when she talked about her 20 lb. lost in just 2-weeks. She has been open about her struggles to maintain her slim figure and to stay regimented with her eating plan.

She once called herself, “a natural fat person, just dying to get out.”

So, instead she sticks with master cleanses of lemonade with maple syrup and cayenne pepper. Apparently, it was a drink that was the only thing she consumed for 2 weeks. When she needed to work out after her baby, Beyoncé changed her eating habits by including: egg white omelettes, turkey and capers for lunch, and sashimi for dinner. Oh, and if she wants a snack she usually settles for cucumbers, except for the rare occasions that she allows herself to have a frozen yogurt.

8 Gwyneth Paltrow Lives Off Of Goop

No other celebrity has profited or advertised their healthy lifestyle more than Gwyneth Paltrow. She singled-handily pushed the words vegetable juices and detox cleanses into our daily language. And, as you can guess her rules are strict. In fact, if you look online you’ll see that many have tried and failed.

Gwyneth might make the claim that she eats French Fries and drinks wine, but her chef has stated otherwise. She starts her days with green juices made from kale, lemon, ginger, and apples. The lunch recipes in her book include items such as beet-greens soup, green risotto, and healthy versions of BBQ chicken. For dinner she’ll make meatballs with almonds or she’ll enjoy fish. As you can guess there aren’t many carbs and she doesn’t indulge in sugar or dairy.

7 Miranda Kerr Does Not Want To Eat Processed Foods

Miranda is another model that is a fan of organic fruits and vegetables for both her body and skincare. The model and entrepreneur has a skincare line based around noni fruit and other super foods.

When it comes to her eating habits, she is just as super healthy focusing on vegetables. While she does steer clear of sugar and caffeine, Miranda does enjoy varied meals that includes chicken, teas, and even the occasional glass of organic wine. The one thing that the model would never eat would be anything genetically modified or farmed unethically.

Naturally, anything she eats has to be followed up with a workout in order to keep her slim physique. Any model has to follow a set of rules for their eating habits and what they put their body through at the gym.

6 Adrianna Lima Slams Protein Like A Bodybuilder

Remember how Adriana detailed her horror story that did not allow her to drink any liquids a day before the Victoria’s Secret show? Don’t expect much fun from her regular plan. Besides the fact that she has to be a boss at the gym, she eats clean. Working out takes up time for a certain portion of her day, that way she looks amazing for the runway.

This mommy’s job is to look good and she takes it seriously, exercising for 2 hours 6-days a week and following a restrictive intake of protein shakes.

To earn a chance to walk down the runway in that $2 million dollar bra Adriana focuses on protein shakes, protein bars, green vegetables, and steers clear of carbs. There’s a reason that once a year she rewards herself with pizza after the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. She’s not allowed to have it beforehand. Her meals prior to the show are steamed, grilled, or eaten raw. Also, she avoids sugar to the point that she even avoids carrots.

5 Kim Kardashian Wants A Perfect Backside

If you’re going to wake up every day at 6am to workout, you better make sure that your eating is on point too. After unflattering pictures of Kim Kardashian’s infamous bum made its rounds on the Internet, the Internet mogul shot back by following a strict exercise regimen. She hired a trainer and said goodbye to most of her carbs.

Now, Kim focuses on eating fresh food that she (or her chef) cooks everyday. She also said goodbye to processed foods that include everything from cookies to salad dressings. Basically, if you can’t buy it from the farmer’s market or local butchers then Kim has thrown it out from her kitchen. It must be worth it for her so that now she can play bikini tennis without worrying about a bad photo.

4 Kourtney Kardashian Drinks Apple Cider Vinegar

Another Kardashian with strict rules is Kourtney. She has been the health guru of the family for a while now constantly telling Kim that her way is disgusting. The mother of three wrote on her website,

‘I try to eat healthy and include as many organic whole foods as possible.’

That means that she begins and ends her days with an apple cider vinegar blend. She also hits the gym every day and treats herself to avocado pudding before her workout to give her fuel. Salads with a protein source such as salmon or chicken are her standards for dinner and if she needs a snack during the day, Kourtney reaches for raw almonds or hummus with veggies. As the ‘health freak’ of the Kardashian clan Kourtney keeps her sweet tooth in check with homemade treats such as match-chia pudding.

3 Victoria Beckham Works Hard

She’s one of the tiniest stars alive and Victoria Beckham is happy to let everyone know that it takes hard work for her to keep it that way.

“I go for a three mile run every morning and I work out for an hour with a PT which gives me just enough time to get to the kitchen to puree Romeo’s avocados,” the designer told Vogue Netherlands.

Her food is equally regimented with her focusing on whole foods and loading her plate with fresh vegetables, fruit, and fish. Similar to Kourtney K, Victoria also enjoys apple cider vinegar in the morning. Instead of putting it into a drink she takes it by the spoonful first thing in the morning. While the rest of the world is enjoying their morning cup of Joe, Victoria sees it as an indulgence.

2 Elizabeth Taylor Was Hungry In Her 20s

She was considered one of the most beautiful women in the world. If you look back at her during her 20s, you’d have to agree that she was jaw-droppingly beautiful. However, she did not age well and it probably had something to do with her food. It was high in protein, but barely had fruits or vegetables. Instead, she lived off of cottage cheese and delicacies such as steak with peanut butter.

Her breakfasts were a single piece of dry toast. In fact, Elizabeth only allowed herself one piece of fruit everyday. Obviously, these tactics lead Liz to go into binge mode later in life, which definitely lead to some other issues.

1 Kate Middleton Does Not Like Almond Milk

For her wedding day, Kate Middleton made sure that the world would see her at her best. Although, judging by her constantly slim frame, we’re going to guess that Kate stays pretty close to that.

As can be expected it’s high protein and low carb. Although, it involves four stages- attacks, cruise, consolidation, and stabilization. Besides keeping herself fit with workouts, she moderates what she eats and how much of it. To keep her skin glowing, Kate makes sure that she eats raw foods daily. She’s also a fan of ceviche, a Latin American dish that includes raw fish, limejuice, and spices. Sweets are off the table except for the holidays when she’ll enjoy a few bites of cake with a tea and good old regular milk.
