Who wants to hear that their favorite celebrity, idol or superstar is actually a terrible person? Nobody wants to end up with shattered dreams and a broken pedestal. Then again, celebrities are only human and they can only take so much adulation before they get tired of it or take it for granted. It's heartbreaking to hear that a person you admire and respect is actually inconsiderate and rude in real life.

If we lived in a perfect world (certain millennials aren't even sure if it's flat or spherical), then everyone's favorite Oscar-winning actress, action hero, rock star, politician, reality star, pro wrestler, Olympic athlete, or rom-com lead would always be eager to meet their fans and happy that so many people crowd over them to support them.

However, in fairness to celebs, it must be hard having fans tailing them everywhere, from restaurants where they're having dinner with their family to the airports where they're supposed to go from premiere to premiere or gala event to gala event. However, this doesn't justify them having outright contempt for those who admire them for their accomplishments, as though those people are somehow below them or something.

But that's just how life is. It's ugly, cruel and merciless as well as beautiful, inspiring and motivating. It's a yin-yang of good and bad. Regardless, these celebs should learn to not bite the hand that feeds them. With that said, here are 15 of the world's best actors, musicians, VIPs famous people, and celebrities in general who are terrible with their fans to the point of disliking them.

Kim K is Rude to Fans

"Not Kim Kardashian! She could never be rude!" said no one ever. This first entry on the list is a freebie and a no-brainer. Kim K isn't exactly known as a saint or ambassador of goodwill among all the celebrities out there. After all, she's had beef with actresses like Chloe Grace Moretz and Bette Midler over her revealing pics, accusing them of shaming her and whatnot. She's someone who's not afraid to be confrontational. Many of her fans might not even blink an eye at this "accusation" of rudeness, thinking that their queen is either beyond reproach or she's entitled to act uppity to the point of "roasting" even her most loyal of fanatics and admirers. However, there's no excuse for her to send her ex-boyfriend Kris Humphries text messages that called her fans "boring little nobodies," "stupid imbeciles," "gullible," and "pathetic." What's more, Kim Kardashian-West also refuses to sign too many autographs. Talk about being a total diva!

Avril Lavigne Charges a Lot of Money For Meet-and-Greet But Doesn't Let Fans Touch Her

There's almost nothing that turns off fans faster than learning that their idol actually charges for autographs. Avril Lavigne of "Skater Boy" (or if you'd prefer, "Sk8er Boi") fame is one such singer celeb. Fans of the former punk princess from the Turn of the Millennium were willing to spend hundreds of dollars in order to see her at a meet-and-greet. However, she has a "no-touch" policy in place wherein she is just there signing autographs but isn't even willing to shake hands or pose for photographs in close proximity of her own fans. This means her fans have to stand at a certain distance from her when they do take pictures and selfies. She truly does make things complicated for her beloved following. What a weird thing to do in light of her fading fame and her “Hello Kitty” song controversy (where she was accused of cultural appropriation).

Ariana Grande Has Said Shocking Things About Her Fans

Former Nickelodeon star (of the hit show Victorious starring her less-successful singer-actress counterpart Victoria Justice) and current pop princess Ariana Grande allegedly loathes her tween fans in no uncertain terms. According to an industry insider, there's a damning story about the youthful-looking twenty-something who still appears like she's 12 to 13 years old instead. She appears like a friendly celebrity at first. She's willing to schmooze and smile for the camera, signing autographs for her adoring fans left and right. However, one time, as soon as she was through with the gauntlet of autographs and well-wishers for her success and entered an elevator, she wished a terrible fate for her fans that we can't repeat as the metal doors shut, like the entitled little brat that she is. Sure, there are terrible stalker fans out there that themselves feel entitled over the time of their celeb idols. But the autographs she was signing were for her truest and most innocent of fans.

Amy Schumer Attacked A Fan on Instagram

Back in January 2016, comedienne Amy Schumer lashed out on a young, 17-year-old fan of hers for a joke tweet after meeting her at an event. She also attacked another fan on Instagram, posting his photograph for all the world to see, after she refused to take a photo with him while walking down the street. Sure, female celebrities tend to get antsy about stalkers. Any one of them could end up like John Hinckley Jr. stalking Jodie Foster and whatnot. However, Schumer had the audacity to lie about the encounter. She alleged that the fan said, "No, it's America and we paid for you" when she refused to take a picture with him. The fan's own version of the story was backed up by video evidence though. In it, it showed how Schumer calmly says, "That's rude. Can you delete that?" before the fan apologizes. Had he deleted the evidence, it would've been her word against his.

Jennifer Lopez Got A Fan Fired for Asking for an Autograph

Jenny from the Block isn't that much of a girl next door as she alleges, unless fans just happen to live beside her expensive villa with high walls, a long lawn and a steel gate. Jennifer Lopez isn't a humble Bronx woman who went through the school of hard knocks. She's full-on diva mode when it comes to fans, such that their adulation for her can cost them their livelihood. There was this one time a hotel employee of German descent got fired after she merely asked for the “On the Floor” star's autograph. The singer and star of the Selena biopic, the ill-fated Gigli and Maid in Manhattan (ironically enough) defended herself against the allegations of the German maid, claiming that she was outright lying and she had nothing to do with her termination. However, the woman insists that she was fired after Miss Lopez complained about her audacity to ask for an autograph.

Jared Leto Tells His Fans Extremely Rude Things

Unlike the pint-sized pop princess Ariana Grande, Jared Leto actually has the guts to tell his fans to get away from him (with some curse words thrown in), in fairness to him. However, on the flip side, at least Ariana has the courtesy to hide her contempt for her fans. Both of them are terrible people for treating their fans like dirt, though. The Suicide Squad star (with a rather unique take on the Joker that's even more bizarre than The Dark Knight version of Joker by the late Heath Ledger) has a rather mercurial attitude and obsession with method acting that borders on obnoxious (if rumors of him pranking his co-stars were to be believed). In an autograph queue, a fan of Leto's told him that he had a great concert that night. What does Leto tell the fan? He tells him to get away from him because he signed his stuff. Real nice, Jared.

Kylie Jenner Doesn't Sign Autographs

Kylie Jenner is a celeb who relies on her fans in order to make a living. However, she shows how much of an ingrate she is to her admirers and followers by refusing to sign autographs at all. The so-called millennial trendsetter and reality show star of Keeping Up with the Kardashians fame refuses to pay back her supporters with a simple signature on a piece of paper or souvenir. When approached by a few autograph hunters and tween fans who wished to get a memento from their idol in April 2016 at a West Hollywood restaurant, she didn't simply say no to the requests for her signed name. She actually snapped at the fans to the point of making quite a few of them cry. So many Kylie Jenner fans were disillusioned during that date. But this is to be expected of a person who grew up in the limelight.

Justin Bieber Spits on Fans

Justin Bieber, who was discovered by a record executive via YouTube of all platforms, can give both Ariana and Jared a run for their money when it comes to the trashy treatment of fans. The singer of sappy hits like "Baby" and collaborations like "Despacito" has had the audacity to spit on fans in utter disdain for them even though they were the ones who made him a millionaire. What's more, he even once called a woman a "beached whale" even though she's part of his adult fanbase and certainly deserved better than being fat-shamed. He also kept audiences waiting for two hours during one of his concerts without any explanations or even excuses. He even snubbed a super fanatic who had Down Syndrome. There's nothing lovable about any of his actions for sure. Makes you wonder how he remains popular—it’s not like he’s that good of a singer.

Britney Spears Doesn't Allow Fans to Touch Her

Not to make any excuses for her bad behavior, but Britney Spears has been through a lot. She had a breakdown that ended up with her shaving her head, marrying and divorcing one of her backup dancers and marrying one of her best friends in Las Vegas on a whim. She probably dislikes the bad side of fame, especially the media circus that hounded her during her freak-out period. However, her loyal fans still deserve better from her. She has fans so loyal one of them even became a meme (that is, the "Leave Britney Alone!" YouTube video from super fan Chris Crocker). Even though her fans paid upwards of $2,500 each in order to get into a meet-and-greet with her during her residency in Las Vegas, she ended up disappointing them severely. She only met with them for a few seconds before leaving. Fans were also banned from touching or hugging her. She could’ve at least spent an hour with them.

Adam Levine Doesn't Give Autographs to "Ugly Chicks"

Adam Levine of Maroon 5 fame showcases some sexism and toxic masculinity with the way he insists to only give autographs to pretty ladies. No "ugly chicks" or "uggos" for him. Only girls who are worthy of the Maroon 5 frontman can get a signature from him. In fairness to Adam, this is just a rumor. To be more specific, it's a rumor from a Reddit.com user who claims that Levine is picky about who can get his autograph. According to this anonymous person, he or she was with one of his/her girl friends. She was extremely excited to meet and get the autograph of The Voice judge. However, she was brushed off by him. He said, "I don't give autographs to ugly chicks," which broke her heart and probably made her insecure about her looks. For sure, quite a lot of feminists in the know will probably stop being fans of this jerk musician.

Kanye West Refuses to Take Photos with Fans

Birds of the same feather flock together. This is certainly the case with supercouple Kanye West and Kim Kardashian-West. But of course those two have a mutual disdain for fans. He assaulted photographers and an 18-year-old for taking his picture. He also outright refuses to ever give autographs to fans. He even said to wheelchair-bound concertgoers that they should stand up or he'd stop his concert. Apparently, the manchild rapper who's more famous for immature antics—like claiming that George W. Bush doesn't care about black people for his inactions during Hurricane Katrina and stating right in Taylor Swift's face after winning "Best Female Video" in the Video Music Awards 2009 that "Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time!"—is also insufferable when it comes to his treatment of fans. How dare people love Kim K and Kanye enough to seek their attention, photographs or autographs! Especially those who helped pay for their mansions, gadgets, cars and yachts. The nerve of some people.

Shia LaBeouf Threatens Fans

Those who are aware of Shia LaBeouf's antics with the "He Will Not Divide Us" publicity stunt/art installation and the subsequent "trolling" he got from the denizens of 4chan.org shouldn't really be surprised that he'd pull a stunt like threatening his own fans. Then again, he also pulled other stunts like putting a paper bag over his face saying, "I'm not famous anymore." Long story short, Shia lately has been a monkey wrench short of a toolbox and nuttier than a fruitcake. Therefore, it's not exactly a stretch of the imagination to imagine Shia threatening actual fans. It's not just a verbal threat, though. He actually threatened the guy who helped him out during a bar fight. This person might not even be an actual fan of the Transformers star but instead was a Good Samaritan out to help him.

Christian Bale Makes Fans Cry

Here's another unsurprising addition to this list. People who remember Christian Bale's meltdown on a Director of Photography on the Terminator Salvation set will probably nod and say, "Yeah, of course he'd make his fans cry. Christian Bale is nuts!" Indeed, we don't live in a perfect world. There are celebrities out there who are rude to fans who dish out cash for their movies. Although Christian was golden-hearted enough to visit Aurora shooting victims in the hospital, that doesn't mean he's a saint all the time. He can get pretty moody at times, as evidenced by his behavior with certain fans. When approached in public by little girls, Bale can get nasty enough to make them cry. Perhaps The Dark Knight star is a lot more like his American Psycho alter ego Patrick Bateman than you'd think.

Russell Crowe Yells at Fans

No list of rude celebs would be complete without good old Russell Crowe. He already has a reputation when it comes to his temper. It's so well-known that many stories and articles are dedicated to his violent outbursts at fans, paparazzi and reporters. The Gladiator, Man of Steel and Les Misérables star has done things like throw a telephone at the face of a hotel employee and yell at his co-stars and fans. He even threw hands at his own bodyguard, thus making him an ironic bodyguard since it's not Russell who needs protection from those around him but the other way around. He's such a talented jerk that he managed to insult entire crowds of his fans and admirers all at once, as though it's some sort of contest for him to be as insufferable a celebrity as possible. In 2015, during a guest appearance at The Late Late Show with James Corden, he told off the crowd who didn't clap in time during a musical performance. In light of his horrid singing performance in Les Misérables, who could blame the crowd?

Robert Pattinson Mocks His Fans

The Harry Potter star turned Twilight star Robert Pattinson isn't exactly all that grateful or appreciative for being best known as Edward Cullen from the Twilight Saga. He of all people dislikes Twilight fans more than anyone else, which is highly ironic. His disdain for them is almost as deep as the contempt David Cross has for being part of the live-action Alvin and the Chipmunks film series. Robert despises everything about Twilight, especially Edward Cullen and how fans label him as "perfect.” He said it outright during a Brussels Twilight Question & Answer. Girls stating that his character is perfect are wrong. He believes that Edward is far from perfect and he personally thinks the vampire's controlling behavior on Bella Swan is quite imbalanced, wrong and strange. He also makes fun of the Twilight fan group and how it's composed of older women who have nothing better to do with their time than to make comments on the Internet about the supernatural romance series. It's truly disappointing how this ingrate could attack fans who love a film trilogy he stars in and was paid $25 million to be part of.
