When it comes to romance, celebrities are just like us. Some of them fall in love at first sight while others first become friends. Of course, there is no denying that love at first sight stories are more romantic than those that involve years of friendship. Still, many believe that there is no better recipe for a successful relationship – and consequently, marriage – than years of friendship. After all, whereas initial attraction and lust may fade, real friendship is bound to survive. If you know the person you are deciding to have a romantic relationship with – or even to marry – inside out, how can it go wrong, right?

Still, there is no right or wrong way to go about romance and indeed while some friends-turned-lovers go on to live happily ever after, so do a lot of couples that fall in love at first sight.

In Hollywood, you’ll find a mixture of couples that fell in love at first sight and those that were friends first and foremost. Indeed, couples on both camps seem happy , thus further proving that when it comes to love, no one has all the answers!

Love At First Sight - Aaron Paul And Lauren Parsekian

This year marks Aaron Paul’s and Lauren Parsekian’s sixth year of marriage but they are as in love as ever. Plus, they now have a daughter whom they named Story. As you may recall, the Breaking Bad star met his future wife at Coachella. It was apparently love at first sight for both of them.

Indeed, Paul said, according to Starcasm, that the night he met Parsekian was simply magical and that he knew straight away that he was going to marry her, and even told her so! –

“The first night her and I hung out, we had our first kiss on the Ferris wheel. I told her that night that one day I was going to marry her. We knew it was something so magical.”

Thankfully, their love did not fade with the responsibilities of marriage, as it so often does in Hollywood. Paul said, according to Starcasm, that being married to Parsekian is amazing – “It was the greatest experience of my entire life. And she’s still with me, which is just fantastic. Four months strong. Marriage is easy. I always thought [being married] was going to be the greatest time of my life, and it has definitely proven that. But it’s surpassed every expectation that I’ve ever had.” Granted, he said that a few years ago but we are pretty sure that he still feels the same way – after all, he can never seem to be able to keep his hands of his wife at public events.

Had To Work At It - Beyonce And Jay Z

Nowadays Beyonce and Jay Z are one of the most powerful couples in Hollywood but they almost didn’t get together! The couple first met at a concert in New York City and were not at all smitten with each other. According to Realty Today, when Beyonce was asked by her uncle if she would consider dating Jay Z, she responded with the rather offensive “Eww”. And, according to Jaz-O, Jay Z’s mentor, initially Jay Z only viewed his future wife as a nice way to enhance his own brand -

“The way I saw it, it was more calculated than romantic. He was thinking about his brand as much as his heart. He can smell opportunity.”

According to Style Caster, whether or not they initially viewed each other in a calculated way they were first and foremost friends, according to Beyonce’s interview with Oprah – “We were friends first for a year and a half before we went on any dates. We were on the phone for a year and a half, and that foundation is so important for a relationship. Just to have someone who you just like is so important, and someone [who] is honest.”

In 2003, they were “just beginning to try to date each other.” Then, in 2008, they got married. And the rest is history!

Love At First Sight - Emily Blunt And John Krasinski

Emily Blunt knew that The Office star John Krasinski was the one for her as soon as she laid eyes on him. The couple first met when Blunt was at a restaurant with her friend and saw Krasinski walking towards them. Ironically, right at that moment, Blunt was telling her friend how much she was enjoying the freedom that comes with being single.

According to People magazine, Blunt said –

“We were discussing how much I was enjoying being single. And then my friend goes, ‘Oh, my God, there’s my friend John.’ And that was it. We were engaged within 10 months, but I think we probably knew before that.”

Apparently, Krasinski was having dinner with his friend Justin Theroux when he noticed his friend and his future wife. Blunt said that Krasinksi made her laugh straight away, according to Harper’s Bazaar – “He abandoned Justin and came over to talk to us. He did not eat. He just stood there and made me laugh.”

Blunt knew that Krasinksi was the guy from The Office for she had binge-watched the popular series and thought it was hilarious. According to Harper’s Bazaar, when Seth Meyers asked Blunt is she knew that Krasinksi was "the one" straight away, she replied in the affirmative – “I kind of did."

Had To Work At It - Kim Kardashian And Kanye West

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West seem inseparable now but few fans know that it took them nine years to get together! Indeed the couple first met in 2004 when Kardashian was married to Damon Thomas but apparently, no sparks flew between them.

Indeed, West admitted that he realized that he was attracted to Kardashian when he saw a picture of her – and her stunning legs – from her trip to Australia with Paris Hilton in 2006. Still, it was only three years later – in 2009 – that West realized that he had a serious crush on the reality TV star.

According to Dailymail, West later admitted that it was around this time that he would dream of being close to Kardashian –

“I just dreamed about being next to her.”

In 2010, West’s dream came true as he was helping Kardashian with her music video Jam. It was then that Kris Jenner caught him checking out her daughter and gave out to him.

When Kardashian married Kris Humphries it seemed like West’s crush was to remain just that – a crush. But then the rushed marriage crumbled and West made sure that he was close to Kardashian when she was most vulnerable. At first, they were friends but their friendly feelings soon grew into something bigger. In 2012 it became obvious that the couple was dating and in 2014 they got married.

Love At First Sight – Heidi Montag And Spencer Pratt

Who could have thought that Heidi Montag’s and Spencer Pratt’s relationship was going to last so long? Certainly not Lauren Conrad, who did not think Pratt a suitable match for her ex-best friend. Still, Montag and Pratt are now married and are going strong to this day. And, according to Montag, that’s not at all surprising for theirs was a love at first sight.

Indeed, last year – in 2017 – The Hills star and Pratt celebrated their nine-year anniversary. Montag took to Twitter where she posted a picture of her and Pratt with their young son Gunner Stone.

Her caption was as sweet as the image itself and it was in it that Montag mentioned that her and Pratt fell in love at first sight, according to Brampton Guardian – “Happy 9 year anniversary! It was love at first sight. I knew my life would never be the same. You are my soulmate, my heart, my soul, my best friend, my everything. We have fought through so much to be together. Every moment of it has been such a blessing. I knew I had to follow my heart and have faith in love and in you. Best decision of my life.Thank you so much for our son! This is been the best 11 years of my life. It continues to get better every moment, every day, every year. I love you more than I'll ever be able to tell you! I didn't think our love could get deeper until @gunnerpratt arrived! Not only are you the most amazing husband, you are the most amazing father! I can't wait to see the journey life has in store for us! (sic)"

Had To Work At It - Chrissy Teigen And John Legend

Most celebrity couples like to gush about their partners and recount stories as to how they met and how they fell in love at first sight. John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are not one such couple. Indeed, Legend made a point of saying that his love for Teigen was not a love at first sight.

Indeed, according to ET Online, Legend confessed that he needs to grow into a feeling and that it was only after a few years of dating Teigen that he thought that she might be the one for him –

“I'm more cautious than that. I wasn't like, 'This is the woman I’m going to marry' from day one. For me, I'm the kind of person who needs to grow into that feeling. It was probably a couple of years in when I could already see us being together forever."

As you may recall, Legend and Teigen met in 2007 on the set of Legend’s video Stereo and they married six years later, in 2013.

Teigen confessed, according to ET Online, that she played it cool at the start of their relationship so as to keep Legend interested – “I’m not going to lie. We hooked up. [And then when he went on tour] I left him by himself for a while. The worst thing you can do is try to lock someone like that down early on, then have them think, There's so much more out there. I played it cool for a long time. Never once did I ask, ‘What are we?’ Marriage was never my goal, because I've never been very traditional. I was just happy to be with him."

Love At First Sight - Matthew McConaughey And Camila Alves

Matthew McConaughey and Camila Alves make a lovely couple and we were not at all surprised to learn that they fell for each other straight away. Especially McConaughey! According to People magazine, McConaughey was not looking for a serious relationship the night that he met Alves –

“I was very happily single and healthily single. I was not looking. I was sleeping well, I was spiritually sound, I was good hanging with me.

Still, when McConaughey saw Alves he was so smitten he had a hunch his single days were over – “Out of the corner of my eye, this sort of aqua-green figure went floating across the frame about 20 feet in front of me. My eye went up and I remember what came out of my mouth. I didn’t say ‘Who is that?’ I went, ‘What is that?’ As I was trying to get that’s attention across the room, I went in my head, ‘This is not the kind of woman you call over across a room, McConaughey. Get your ass out of the chair and go get her.’ Which I did.”

Their first date simply proved that they were perfect for one another, according to People magazine – “We went on our first date three nights later and I knew then I’ve been wanting to go on a date with her for the last nine years and not with anybody else.”

Had To Work At It - Mila Kunis And Ashton Kutcher

Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher are currently one of Hollywood’s most loved couples. But while they are very much in love now, their romance progressed slowly. And that is understandable – after all, they first met when they were only teenagers. Kunis and Kutcher were co-stars on the TV series That ‘70s Show in which they played love interests. In fact, Kutcher was Kunis’ first kiss but back then their relationship was more like that of a brother and sister as opposed to a romantic one.

According to Elle, Kutcher said that he did Kunis’ chemistry homework for her and that he found their age difference odd – “I was 19, she was like 14. Yeah, I did her chemistry homework for her. I think I was her first kiss, like, on the show. We have our first kiss memorialized on a TV show! It was really weird. I was like, 'Isn't this illegal? Like can I-am I allowed? It was really awkward because I'm like a 19-year-old kid. She was 14! She was like my little sister. I wanted to make sure she was okay."

According to Elle magazine, Kutcher also confessed that he believes that Kunis was initially attracted to him but then found his “big brother-like” behavior annoying –

“At first I think she thought that I was good looking, and then shortly thereafter, I was just annoying to her, because I was like a big brother. It was like, 'He's annoying, because he's always looking out for my best interest.'"

Later, at the height of Kutcher’s career Kunis actually hated him, according to Page Six – “At the height of his career, I was like, ‘Ugh, I don’t like you. I don’t even know you anymore. You think you’re hot s–t.’”

According to Elle magazine, it was Kunis who made the first move – “I think I was smoking cigarettes at the time, and I was still a smoker. And she had quit smoking and she was like, she wanted me to like shot gun a cigarette smoke so she could breathe it in and I was like, 'All right.' And I started doing this. And gradually through the night, it got closer and closer and closer."

Love At First Sight - Matt Damon And Luciana Damon

Over the years the actor Matt Damon has been linked to countless of gorgeous women, most of them Hollywood actresses or models. But Damon eventually chose a bartender named Luciana Barroso as his partner in life with whom he eventually settled down and had a family.

The couple met 15 years ago – in 2003 – when Damon was busy filming the film Stuck On You. Indeed, it was a complete coincidence that Damon and Barroso even met – he wasn’t even going to do the movie and when he decided to go with it, its filming location got moved from Hawaii to Miami.

According to Metro, Damon really believes that it was faith that brought him and his wife together – “I almost didn’t do that movie. It was going to be shot in Hawaii but got moved to Miami for budget reasons and one night, some guys were going for a beer and asked me to come. I saw her across the room and it was like there was a beam of light shining down on her – she was radiating joy. I was like, I have to talk to this person. If you look at all the things that had to happen for us to meet, it does feel like there was an Adjustment Bureau involved.”

When asked bluntly whether he fell in love with her at first sight, Damon responded that he did, according to Metro – “I’m sure I felt love at first sight with my wife, I really am.”

Had To Work At It - Denzel Washington And Pauletta Washington

Denzel Washington and Pauletta Washington have been married for more than 30 years now but if you think that love at first sight is what guaranteed their successful marriage, you are wrong. Indeed, Washington had to try rather hard to get Pauletta to marry him. He actually proposed to her three times before she agreed to tie the knot!

According to UPI, Denzel said -

"You heard it here first. She turned me down, she said no. And since it was three times, that means she turned me down twice." Pauletta added – “That's true. I turned you down twice and the third time we did it."

Maybe it had something to do with their first date? Denzen ran out of money to pay for Pauletta’s cab on their very first date, according to Essence – “She’ll tell you that she paid on our first date. But I’ll tell you what happened. I was paying early and I was going to splurge and we were going to take a cab. And the meter’s going and I’m like ‘oh no how far away does she live.’ So she paid the cab fare on our first date.”

Thankfully, once Pauletta did say yes, their marriage was smooth sailing. Sort of. According to Essence, Denzel said that no marriage can last without hard work – “I just think that you have to work at [marriage]. Not give up on each other. It’s a commitment. It’s not all the honeymoon, it doesn’t last forever, so you work at it. And hopefully you’re good friends first, that might help!”

Love At First Sight - David Beckham And Victoria Beckham

David Beckham and Victoria Beckham have had their ups and downs but they are still one of the most powerful couples in Hollywood. Indeed, the Beckhams may very well be considered “couple goals.”

Back in the day, both David Beckham and Victoria – who was better known as Posh Spice – fell for one another instantly. Indeed, a few years ago British Vogue published a letter that Victoria wrote to her past self in which she said, according to Hello Magazine

“Yes, love at first sight does exist. It will happen to you in the Manchester United players' lounge - although you will get a little drunk, so exact details are hazy.”

According to Asia One News, David also fell for Victoria at first glance. Indeed, he had a crush on her even before he met her in person – “Our manager Simon Fuller is a huge Man United (Manchester United) fan and he also managed the Spice Girls. Mel C (of The Spice Girls) is a Liverpool fan and he brought Mel and Victoria to a game. I heard Victoria was there and I really liked Posh Spice at the time. I was really shy, said hello to Simon Fuller and waved to Victoria from across the room. Then, I was watching TV and there was a Spice Girls video on and I said (to Manchester United star Gary Neville): 'See the girl in the dark, short dress? I'm going to marry her.'"

Had To Work At It - Blake Lively And Ryan Reynolds

Some people say that the most successful romantic unions are those that are made up of two friends who have decided to tie the knot. Indeed, friends turned lovers often make the best companions because they already know everything there is to know about the other person. There are no ugly secrets between them. And there is more to the relationship than just blind attraction. Indeed, that is why we’re certain that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds will have a long and successful marriage – because they were friends first.

The couple first met on the set of The Green Lantern and quickly became good friends. Indeed, they were such good friends that they even went on double dates together!

According to ET Online, Reynolds said that their double date couldn’t have been more awkward because both Reynolds and Lively had already started to feel attraction towards one another – “We were buddies then. I remember it was funny because for about a year after Green Lantern had come and gone and all that stuff we were both single," he said. "We went on a double date. She was on a date with another guy and I was on a date with another girl. That was the most awkward date for their respective probably because we were just like fireworks coming across. It was weird at first but we were buddies for a long time. I think it's the best way to have a relationship is to start as friends."

Love At First Sight - Jessica Biel And Justin Timberlake

There’s no denying that Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel make a cute couple. They’ve been married for seven years now but if you look at how they interact with each other you might still think that they met just yesterday.

Their first meeting was quite a romantic one – they met at the 2007 Golden Globe Awards and were clearly attracted to one another right from the very beginning, or so the witnesses say. Indeed, Biel’s 7th Heaven co-star Beverley Mitchell said that she was there when sparks flew between the Timberlake and Biel, according to Today

“I was there like the moment the love connection happened. I was like, 'OK, this is happening.’ It was so cute because they were like — it's that moment like, 'I like you, I think you like me. It was very, very sweet. They were definitely flirting. They were really cute."

Timberlake later admitted that he asked Biel out on a date via the telephone, just like his stepfather and granddad had asked women out before him. Still, even though it was obvious that Biel liked Timberlake she still played hard to get, according to Today – “I did it the old-fashioned way — by telephone. That's something I learned from both my stepdad and my grandfather — that there is a thing called chivalry and it doesn't have to die with the birth of the internet. The way I see it, if you're asking a girl out on a date, it's only right to do it in a way that she can hear your voice. I had to be pretty persistent in order to get her to say yes. But I have a fair amount of tenacity and if I want something I stick to it. And in the end she agreed."

Had To Work At It - Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton

Neither Gwen Stefani nor Blake Shelton could have ever imagined that they would become more than just co-workers on The Voice. Indeed, according to Vanity Fair Shelton confessed that they were first and foremost buddies and that their romance took not only their fans, but also them by surprise – “[We’d] high-five, and [say], ‘Good to see ya.’ [A]ll of a sudden, this thing just happened because of some things that we were going through, and it saved my life. Period.”

Those “things” they were going through? Their divorces, of course. Shelton divorced Miranda Lambert and Stefani divorced Gavin Rossdale. And apparently, falling in love with one another was what saved them from crumbling.

Stefani said, according to Vanity Fair, that she doesn’t think it was an accident that she met and fell in love with Shelton –

“I don’t think it’s an accident that [this] happened. It saved me.” Similarly, Shelton described their relationship as “perfect” and said – “I tell people all the time, ‘Gwen saved my life last year.’ She did. I think she’d probably tell you something similar about me.”

And apparently, Stefani is ready to marry Shelton, according to In Touch Weekly –“You know what, I love weddings. The kids love him, we love him, everybody loves him.”

Unfortunately, Shelton isn’t quite as ready as Stefani to tie the knot, according to People magazine – “I think about it. I don’t think it’s anytime soon or anything. The more time goes by, I guess, the closer you’d be getting to that.”

Love At First Sight - Jessica Alba And Cash Warren

It is rather a rare occurrence to meet a stranger and realize that you feel like you have known him forever. If that is not what it feels like to meet your soul mate, we don’t know what is. The actress Jessica Alba was one of the few lucky ones who met “the one” pretty early on in her life. As you may have guessed already, “the one” we are referring to here is none other than Cash Warren.

The couple met in 2004 on the set of the film Fantastic Four in which Alba was playing the role of Sue Storm and Cash was there as the production assistant. According to Popsugar, Alba later confessed, in an interview with Cosmopolitan magazine, that she knew that Warren was her soul mate right from the very beginning –

“Right after I met Cash, I called my best friend and was like, 'I met this guy and I feel like I've known him forever and I'm going to know him for the rest of my life.'"

Four years after they first met Alba and Warren got married. Later that same year – in 2008 – Alba gave birth to their first child. The couple has been going strong since.

Had To Work At It - Will Smith And Jada Pinkett Smith

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith have one of the longest lasting marriages in Hollywood and even though they’ve had their ups and downs, they’re going strong to this day. Their secret? They were friends before they were ever lovers.

Indeed, Smith and Pinkett first met on the set of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air in 1990 when Pinkett auditioned for a role which she did not get. Still, one good thing did emerge from the audition – Pinkett and Smith became friends.

It was only in 1995 – when Smith divorced his first wife – that the couple went on a dinner date, realized that they shared a spark and decided to give dating a go. Two years later, they were married.

According to Tru Love Stories, Pinkett realized that she could have a relationship with Smith when she saw that he had grown into a man –

“After we had known each other for many years, we went out for dinner one night with mutual friends and I saw that he had grown from this lanky kid to this really responsible man. We started courting each other and our friendship turned into romance.”

For his part, Smith said that it took him two years to get Pinkett to laugh at his jokes, according to Tru Love Stories – “We were together for two years before she even laughed at something I said! She thinks I’m hilarious now, it just took her some time to work into it, but we connected intellectually . . . We connected intellectually and worked into the comedic side.”

Love At First Sight - Shakira And Gerard Pique

Shakira and Gerard Pique are one of those lucky celebrity couples that hit it off straight away. They first met during the filming of Shakira’s Waka Waka song which was released during the Football World Cup in Africa in 2010. Apparently, they were attracted to each other immediately and while they initially denied rumors that they were dating they could not stop Spanish media from publishing pictures of them holding hands and kissing on the streets of Barcelona. In 2011 the couple finally confirmed their relationship.

When asked by Sport magazine whether their love was a love at first sight, Shakira replied with – “More for him than for me… he was struck by an arrow when he saw me, hahaha.”

Still, her song Me Enamore, dedicated to Pique, tells a different story. The song details Shakira’s and Pique’s first meeting and according to TV3, Shakira later said that the song describes a time in her life when she was incredibly in love – “This song narrates a moment in my life when I was so in love that I was literally climbing trees.”

In addition, the singer revealed, according to Sport magazine, that she has done a lot, and risked a lot, for Pique – “I’ve done a lot of things for Gerard. He’s the person I’ve risked the most for.”

Had To Work At It - Sofia Vergara And Joe Manganiello

Believe it or not but when Joe Manganiello first tried to get Sofia Vergara to go on a date with him, she said no! Why? Apparently, the actor was too good-looking. If that’s not one of the weirder reasons as to why someone wouldn’t want to date someone, we don’t know what is!

According to People magazine, when Connick Jr. was talking to Vergara on the talk show Harry, he said – “You are married to perhaps, seriously, arguably the most attractive man that ever lived. Not that’s just alive.”

Vergara’s answer surprised many – “When he started trying to convince me to go out with him, I didn’t want to go out with him because of that. I don’t want to deal with that, I am too old now to be with a guy that all the girls are like after him. ‘You’re too hot, this is going to be so much work. I’m not kidding,’ I didn’t want to go out with him because of how hot he was.”

Still, in the end, Vergara could not resist Manganiello’s charm and eventually went on a date with him. Before she knew it, he had proposed and she had said yes! And even though Vergara was initially against the idea of going out – let alone marrying – Manganiello, their relationship moved at a quite fast pace – he proposed only six months after they first started going out and married her only 11 months later.

Love At First Sight - Channing Tatum And Jenna Dewan

Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan were co-stars before they were lovers. They co-starred in the movie Step Up but clearly had a thing for each other right from the very beginning. Indeed, Tatum even confessed that initially, he tried to fight off the attraction he felt for Dewan because he had just gotten out of a long relationship and did not want anything serious. And, he felt like he could not be anything but serious with Dewan.

According to Elle magazine, Tatum said –

“I had just gotten out of a pretty long relationship, so I was in no way ready for another. I was trying to run from what I knew Jenna was—not someone I was just going to date. But one of my buddies was like, 'What are you doing, man? She's dope.' That night I showed up at her hotel room with a sombrero on, and that was it."

Sounds quite romantic (minus the sombrero), but Dewan later added to the story by confessing that she had told Tatum that if he wanted to date other people he could, but that she wanted to be in a relationship. Apparently, Tatum then went on a wild night of tequila drinking and realized that he couldn’t stop thinking about her. He then knocked at Dewan’s door in the middle of the night – half-naked, wearing only Ugg boots, a sombrero, and underwear – and confessed his feelings to her. And the rest is history.

Had To Work At It - Ellen DeGeneres And Portia de Rossi

Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi are one of the most famous same-sex couples not only in Hollywood, but also in the world. And yet their relationship was not an easy one. Coming out is never easy, especially when you are a celebrity. And while nowadays both women feel comfortable in their own skins there was a time when de Rossi felt like she could not come out of the closet.

According to Country Living magazine, de Rossi was instantly attracted to DeGeneres –

"It took me three years to actually tell her how I felt about her because I was on Ally McBeal at the time and I was not living as an openly gay person. I was closeted and very afraid it would be the end of my career, so I wasn't about to date the most famous lesbian in the world."

The attraction that de Rossi felt for DeGeneres only intensified when she met her a few years later at a photoshoot, according to Country Living magazine “I just walked over to say hello to her, and I couldn't believe it, but she turned around and it was like an arrow was shot through my heart. I felt weak at the knees and I was overwhelmed with how I felt, but then it took me about 10 months to get the courage up to actually do anything about it."

Luckily, all worked out okay in the end and the couple got married in 2008 when the ban was overturned by the Supreme Court in California.

Love At First Sight - Tom Hanks And Rita Wilson

Most of us meet potential romantic partners either through friends or at work so it comes as no surprise that things work pretty much the same way in Hollywood. Indeed, it was at work that Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson first met. And they instantly fell in love.

The couple met in 1985 on the set of the film Volunteers. According to People magazine, Hanks later said that meeting Wilson was like getting hit by a lightning bolt –

“Rita and I just looked at each other and — kaboing — that was that. I asked Rita if it was the real thing for her, and it just couldn’t be denied.”

Hanks and Wilson dated for three years before they got married in 1988. Wilson was actually Hanks’ second wife – his first marriage was to his high school sweetheart named Samantha Lewes with whom he had two kids.

Still, according to People magazine, Hanks admitted in an interview with Oprah that while he and Wilson fell in love with one another straight away, other factors have contributed to the success of their relationship – “The success of our relationship was a matter of timing, maturity and our willingness to have an intimate connection. When I married Rita, I thought, ‘This is going to require some change on my part.’ I won’t deny that providence was part of us finding each other, but our relationship isn’t magic — the way it’s shown in movies. In real life, our connection is as concrete as me sitting here. Not that marriage doesn’t come close to being hell in a handbasket sometimes. But we both know that no matter what, we’ll be with each other — and we’ll get through it.”

Had To Work At It - Freddie Prinze Jr. And Michelle Gellar

Like so many other celebrities, the actors Freddie Prinze Jr. and Michelle Gellar were co-stars before they were ever lovers. They co-starred in the 1997 horror movie I Know What You Did Last Summer but did not start dating until three years later.

The couple’s relationship is as strong as ever – they have been married for many years now – and while they may have not known that they were perfect for each other upon first meeting, Prinze Jr. knew that Gellar was the girl for him when he took her out on a first date.

According to Huffington Post – “A lot of girls back then in Hollywood as far as the actresses, they didn’t eat, they ate salad. And I had gone on a date with a handful of them. They would never eat what I would eat. You have to have that in common with me if we’re going to get along. So Sarah came to dinner with me, and we sat down and she ate everything, including a crab that they let walk across the counter, then kill while it was alive in some oil and said, ‘It’s popcorn, try!’ And she ate it without even blinking, and I was like, ‘Yo, my girl is legit.”

Love At First Sight - Gisele Bundchen And Tom Brady

Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady is another celebrity couple that fell in love at first sight. Still, things were slightly more complicated for them because at the time of their meeting Brady was in a relationship with another woman, the actress Bridget Moynahan. Indeed, Moynahan found out that she was pregnant with Brady’s child when Brady and Bundchen had already started dating.

According to Popsugar magazine, Bundchen knew right away that Brady was the man for her –

“I knew right away — the first time I saw him. The moment I saw him, he smiled and I was like, that is the most beautiful, charismatic smile I've ever seen! We sat and talked for three hours. I didn't want to leave. You know that feeling of, like, you can't get enough? From the first day we met, we've never spent one day without speaking to each other."

As for the little complication of Moynahan getting pregnant, Bundchen admitted that it was quite a challenging situation – “In the beginning, you're living this romantic fantasy; you're thinking, this can't be true, it's so good! And then, whoops — wake-up call! We were dating two and a half months when he found out, and it was a very challenging situation. Obviously, in the beginning, it's not the ideal thing."

Had To Work At It - George Clooney And Amal Clooney

George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin make a lovely couple but while Clooney was smitten with his wife from the very beginning, as the two started off as simply friends. Indeed, Clooney confessed that he found the human rights lawyer quite intimidating.

According to Mirror, Clooney wasn’t even sure whether he would get to date the woman he had a crush on –

“I knew when I met her that she was super-extraordinary. I wondered if I would ever get a chance to date her. We were friends for a while and luckily she said, ‘yes’.”

Clooney confessed that initially, their relationship moved at a slow pace, according to Women’s Health Magazine – “She sent some pictures from when she was here, and we were writing each other, emailing, talking, mostly about what was going on in each other’s lives. And over a period of time it became clear we were more than just friends.”

Nowadays George Clooney and Amal are one of the cutest couples in Hollywood and it is obvious that they are as in love with one another now as they were when they first started dating. Indeed, Clooney is always complimenting not only his wife’s personality but also her work as a human rights lawyer as well as her taste in fashion – “Since the day I met her, she’s always had this insanely, it’s eccentric but it’s fun, sense of fashion. And she’s caring. And she also happens to be one of the smartest people I’ve ever met. And she’s got a great sense of humor.”
