People love to keep up with celebrities' personal lives and that includes their relationships. In fact, part of the reason why celebrities have such a difficult time maintaining romantic relationships is that of the pubic's watchful, judgemental eye. Some celebrities have managed to stay in relationships for years, while others can't seem to hold down a boyfriend or girlfriend.
When celebrity couples break up, it is huge news. Some celebrity breakups are entirely shocking, while others you could see coming from a mile away. People instantly wonder who the celebs will turn to next or whether they will ever get back together.
If a celebrity is attractive, successful, and has a good reputation in the entertainment business, they will likely have no trouble upgrading to a better and/or more suitable partner when the time is right. However, if a celebrity has done bad things, has been deemed difficult to work with, or anything of that nature, they will most definitely have a hard time finding anyone respectable to date. Here are 10 newly dumped celebs who will probably upgrade and 10 who probably won't do any better.
19 Will Move On: Justin Theroux
Those who had an insider's view of Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux's relationship have said that all in all, the actor was just "too edgy" for the actress. The pair had actually called it quits on their relationship some time ago but have recently just alerted the public in order to shut down the rumors. Jen and Justin were engaged in August of 2012 and got married three years later. Despite the short-lived marriage, Jen's publicist claimed to The Associated Press on February 15 that their decision to divorce was "mutual" and made "lovingly."
Naturally, one would think that Jen was the star in the relationship but Justin is a Hollywood hunk all on his own, having starred in hit shows like The Leftovers and films like The Girl On The Train and Wanderlust, which he and Aniston met on the set of. He was also a writer for films like Zoolander 2, Rock of Ages, Iron Man 2, and Tropic Thunder. Justin is clearly on a roll and nothing, not even a failed marriage could stop him. His success will more than likely attract more women to him than he will know what to do with. Theroux's A-list status has been earned all on his own, which is why he will probably be just fine without Jen.
18 Might Not Move On: Amber Rose
Amber Rose is pretty much notorious for dating rappers at this point. I mean, she started off her dating career with Kanye West, had a baby with Wiz Khalifa, and her most recent target has been 21 Savage, a 25-year-old rapper from Georgia. The two were last seen together on Valentine's Day but have since split. Amber has said that it is very difficult for her to be famous and in a relationship.
Oddly enough, she has admitted to still sniffing her ex-boyfriend's dirty clothes because she loves him and misses him. Any woman who admits that will have a hard time not being called crazy or finding a good man again... not that she ever really had one in the first place. Plus, according to Bustle, she has basically been labeled a gold digger since the only men she dates are successful musicians.
17 Will Move On: Claire Foy
Claire Foy has really made her mark recently with her starring role as a young Queen Elizabeth in the Netflix series, Crown. Unfortunately, her marriage did not make it and in February, she announced that after four years, she and her husband, Stephen Campbell Moore, would be divorcing.
Foy and Moore met on the set of Season of the Witch in 2011. After tying the knot in 2014, the couple welcomed a daughter in 2016. She claims that they remain "great friends" and that they share a great deal of respect for one another, according to Us Weekly. With Foy's rising success, she will have the pick of any handsome bachelor she chooses. The leading lady will have no trouble upgrading to a man who is worthy of her love.
16 Might Not Move On: Harvey Weinstein
People were obviously not shocked when Harvey Weinstein's wife, Georgina Chapman, filed for divorce. The man has been accused of doing despicable things to women in Hollywood, preying on younger, inexperienced actresses. He was finally exposed for the heinous crimes and will hopefully be served justice.
Weinstein and Chapman married in 2007 and have two children together. The film executive also has three children from a previous marriage. Fortunately, Georgina, an English fashion designer and actress, was not going to be left empty-handed when she left Harvey. She signed a divorce agreement worth around $15 to $20 million. Weinstein's reputation is completely destroyed and if for some reason he does not end up in a prison cell, he will probably never have a woman like Georgina again.
15 Will Move On: Nicki Minaj
Many of Nicki Minaj's fans were thrilled to see her pair up with music legend, Nas. However, the fling was fleeting and short-lived and after a few months, the relationship just sort of "fizzled out." There are no bad feelings between the male and female rappers and they claim to still "remain friends."
Nicki Minaj is one of the most successful women in the music industry and she will have no problem upgrading. She was rumored to be casually seeing Quavo, one of the members of the popular rap trio, Migos. However, Nicki is an independent woman who can't be held down by a man, so it wouldn't be surprising if she remained single for a while. After all, it was not that long ago that she ended her near decade-long relationship with the Love and Hip-Hop: New York star, Safaree Samuels, so we don't blame her for wanting to take some time to be alone.
14 Might Not Move On: Brandi Glanville
Brandi Glanville was used to being the wife behind the star when she was married to Eddie Cibrian but once she began starring on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she got a taste of the limelight. She started dating Donald Friese, a billionaire businessman, in February of 2017. In January of the new year, she tweeted that she was single and that Donald was up for grabs.
According to E! News, Brandi apparently blames social media for the split. At this point, she is 45 and is not aging too gracefully. She has had many enhancements done, which has left her face looking very different. She's known for being surrounded by drama. There are not going to be many eligible bachelors out there who are going to be lining up to date her for much longer... if at all.
13 Will Move On: Olivia Munn
Olivia Munn and Aaron Rodgers shocked the world with their breakup this past spring. They seemed like the perfect couple, so in love, and ready to commit to each other for a lifetime. However, it was clear that being in the spotlight affected their relationship negatively because the Green Bay Packers player and The Predator star split up. According to The New York Post, she was rumored to not have gotten along with his family very well either.
She was even recently rumored to be dating the newly single, Chris Pratt, however, Munn is friends with Anna Faris and quickly debunked those rumors. Regardless, she will have no problem meeting a worthy suiter when the time is right. The 37-year-old actress and model looks insanely stunning for her age. She probably already has a line of men standing outside her door waiting to take her out on a date.
12 Might Not Move On: Farrah Abraham
The Teen Mom star, Farrah Abraham, does not have the best track record when it comes to dating. She started dating a Hollywood stuntman named Aden Stay. According to People, she told the tabloids that she had a connection with him that was "so rare" to find and that she was hoping that he would stay around... unfortunately, he did not.
She also claimed that men target her due to her "success," but Abraham is not raking in the dough and after a series of inappropriate videos were released, many men will be turned off by her trashy appearance and behavior. It is likely that she will have a difficult time landing herself a decent man and she'll likely get used by a lot of jerks. Farrah told People that she wasn't "rushing into any relationships," which is good, because she may not be the most-desired mommy on the block.
11 Will Move On: Sarah Silverman
Sarah Silverman attempted to make a joke of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's infamous "conscious uncoupling" divorce statement when she and her boyfriend Michael Sheen broke up. Over the holiday season, the female comedian shocked her fans announcing on Twitter, "The great @michaelsheen & I consciously uncoupled over Christmas." She clarified further that the two live in different countries, which made having a relationship hard, and that is totally understandable.
While Silverman is 47 years old, she looks absolutely incredible, has a great personality, and obviously, sense of humor, and would be a great catch for any guy out there. She won't have trouble upgrading to Mr. Right or Mr. Right Now, whichever she's in the mood for.
10 Might Not Move On: Courtney Stodden
Courtney Stodden was quite literally a young bride. Her parents signed away the rights and allowed her to marry the actor, Doug Hutchinson when she was 16 and he was 51– pretty messed up, right? Well, the relationship clearly did not end up working out (shocker). After an unfortunate miscarriage and other rumored issues in their marriage became too prominent to ignore, the couple decided to call it quits for good and divorce in 2018, after initially separating in 2016.
After shacking up with a much-older, washed-up actor, she is not likely to be taken seriously by anyone in Hollywood. She might find it very difficult to land herself another man who is willing to pay her bills and put up with her childish antics. It is not known whether she will be receiving spousal support in the divorce but she had better hope that she does, or else she may find herself looking for a job.
9 Will Move On: Alessandra Ambrosio
Sadly, after being engaged for nearly a decade, Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio and her fiancé Jamie Mazur had just called their relationship off completely. What's even sadder is that the couple already had two children, Anja and Noah. And while they have been trying to keep their split out of the media, it's been reported that the supermodel has been noticeably single at public appearances for some time now.
The last time the couple appeared together on social media was on Christmas day, and that was probably for the sake of the family. Perhaps there were deeper issues that resulted in the couple's demise or maybe they just grew tired of one another or fell out of love; either way, Mazur is probably going to be sorry to lose this beautiful woman. Alessandra will surely be swept off her feet by her next Prince Charming in no time.
8 Might Not Move On: Usher
Usher and his wife Grace Miguel announced that they would be divorcing after two years of marriage and nearly a decade together in total. Although the couple released a statement saying that they "remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other," the reports that have come out about the "Love In The Club" singer prior to the divorce announcement hint toward much more serious issues.
According to The Daily Mail, Usher had been previously accused of being unfaithful and even contaminating a fan with an alleged disease. There was definitely much more than could meet the eye when it came to Usher and Grace's relationship. However, a man that goes behind his wife's back like that is not likely to score a respectable chick any time soon.
7 Will Move On: Brielle Biermann
Brielle Biermann can thank her mother, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, one of the stars of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, for her fame because had her mother not gotten her own spin-off reality series, Don't Be Tardy, on Bravo, Brielle would have nowhere close to the fame she has today. This is why she will be absolutely fine, despite her recent breakup with the baseball player, Michael Kopech.
Kopech appeared on the family's reality series and the two even discussed moving in together at one point. Ultimately, the couple's untimely demise was due to the fact that Brielle and her boyfriend could not handle the distance, according to Us Weekly. Her own mother confirmed the fact that she was 21 and "actually living" now, which apparently meant that she needed to be single. Brielle will probably use her Instagram fame and reality star status to find her next perfect match.
6 Might Not Move On: Thomas Gibson
Thomas Gibson is a familiar face if you are a fan of the hit crime drama, Criminal Minds. However, Thomas was notably fired from the series after displaying some violent behavior on set with a writer in 2016. Gibson's marriage to Cristina Parker lasted over 21 years but the divorce became finalized in February. The two share three children but reportedly had a "conflict of personalities" that was preventing "any reasonable expectation of reconciliation."
The couple has apparently been in mediation for over a year, trying to agree on a settlement, but they have attempted to keep things quiet in the media. Thomas is officially a single man but something tells us that he won't have a lot of women who are eager to date him now that he's been exposed for being violent and difficult to work with. He'll likely have a difficult time finding any other acting jobs as well.
5 Will Move On: Julie Bowen
Julie Bowen, the star of the hit sitcom Modern Family, unfortunately, separated from her husband of 13 years, a real estate investor named Scott Phillips. They recently filed for divorce in February, so things obviously could not be solved with time away from each other. The pair share three sons, Oliver, John, and Gustav. Hopefully, they'll be able to remain amicable for the children. It is reported by E! News that the actress is seeking joint custody.
Those who have followed Bowen's career may have seen the split coming, as in 2016, she joked with Us that she and her husband were just "too tired" to get a divorce. The good news for Julie is that she has the leading role in one of the most popular shows in America and everyone knows who she is. Her career has been extremely successful and she will probably have no trouble finding another man who can make her happy during her time off from acting.
4 Might Not Move On: Matt Lauer
After the news of the disgraced Today show anchor, Matt Lauer's misconduct broke, his wife, Annette Roque, has been quietly trying to divorce him. As one could probably expect, Lauer's wife is probably already receiving a ton of unwanted attention from the media due to her husband's crimes, so it is likely that she just wants to get out of her marriage as quickly and quietly as possible.
The former model was married to the television host for almost two decades and they share three children. After the things that Matt Lauer has done, he apparently thinks that he can "start fresh, in both his personal and professional life," insiders told Us Weekly, which just goes to show how out of touch with reality he is. This man will most definitely not be getting a second chance in the entertainment industry and probably not with any decent woman.
3 Will Move On: Amber Heard
Amber Heard definitely had a rough time during her marriage to The Pirates of the Caribbean actor, Johnny Depp. Thankfully, she got out of that relationship (mostly) unscathed and seemed to find herself a nice rebound, Tesla and SpaceX founder, Elon Musk. Musk is a billionaire, so he is obviously a hot commodity around town, who any woman would love to be dating. He is pretty decent looking, too.
The pair had a fun fling and after briefly splitting once before, finally called it quits in February. Heard and Musk decided that they "cared deeply for each other but the timing wasn't right," according to People. Amber may be no billionaire, but she is a striking young woman with a great personality. Remember that divorce she had? She donated the multi-million dollar settlement to charity. She would be a great catch for anyone.
2 Might Not Move On: Shepard Rose
Shepard Rose, a.k.a. Shep, is the star of Bravo's hit reality series, Southern Charm. He is a party boy who is close to 40 and doesn't seem to be changing his womanizing ways anytime soon, but that didn't stop Bravo from giving him his own Southern Charm spin-off, RelationShep. RelationShep followed Shep around the country as he went on dates with women who he thought had the potential to be his wife.
The show had a dramatic ending, with Bella having to leave the competition for work and Shep chasing her down in New York City to proclaim his feelings. But the feelings were fleeting and the relationship didn't last. At this point, women are going to have a hard time seeing Shep as anything but the washed up, aging party boy he is— and many women not be able to see a future with someone like that.
1 Will Move On: Minka Kelly
Minka Kelly attempted to keep her relationship with the Grey's Anatomy actor, Jesse Williams, but ultimately, the public found out. The two met in January of 2017, while they were shooting a video game together in Paris. Despite the fact that Williams had just ended his five-year marriage with his wife, Aryn Drake-Lee, the couple was plagued with rumors of an affair and scandal. Many people believed that Kelly was the reason that the actor was getting a divorce.
She denied the claims but the relationship was still doomed. The two split for good in January. Minka is 37 years old and completely gorgeous. Any man would be lucky to have the actress on his arm, therefore, she will have no problem upgrading to a better man. Williams has way too much going on with his impending divorce and custody battle.
