If you're like the rest of the world, you probably dream about what it would be like to be married to your favorite celebrity. Slipping into a distant fantasy world, you may imagine walking down the red carpet, standing side by side with your famous spouse. Or, you may prefer to hide from paparazzi's flashes and have a quiet night in with Netflix.

But, fantasies are just that: fantasies. It's probably for the better though since you never know what your celebrity crush is like in real life. Hollywood changes people and many celebs wear a fake persona, pandering to the camera and their fans. Not every superstar is made up of wife material. In fact, some can even be Stage-5 clingers.

While these terms can be defined in several ways, it's important to make the distinction up front. A lady who is grade-A wife material is filled with beauty, laughter, affection and loyalty.  These women are classy, yet courteous, and rock a ballroom gown as well as they rock pyjamas!  On the other hand, a lady that's a Stage-5 clinger is exactly that: a clinger. She is controlling and overly attached, constantly following you around like a puppy. These type of women also tend to have failed at past relationships, and usually lack seeing issues from their partner's perspective.

That being said, it's time to scour Hollywood for a few female celebs who would be perfect in a lifelong relationship, and a few that may just cling onto you like Velcro. You be the judge if these ladies are wife material, or Stage-5 clingers.

Wife Material: Emma Watson

The world watched as actress Emma Watson grew up on the big screen. Unlike many other child actors, whose personal lives have suffered in the Hollywood spotlight, Watson has flourished. Since her famous role as a young, scraggly-haired Hermione in the Harry Potter films, she has been a staple in the box office, and on the humanitarian front.

The British star was appointed as a Women's Goodwill Ambassador to the United Nations in 2014, where she gives a voice to young women across the world who have been silenced by oppression. She is also an advocate for the UN's "HeForShe" campaign, which tackles issues facing gender equality.

When it comes to relationships, Watson tends to keep her love life away from the public eye, but has recently been rumored to be seeing Glee actor, Chord Overstreet, according to Page Six. Don't worry though, it doesn't appear to be serious; your fantasy of saying 'I Do' to Watson is still a possibility!

Clinger: Ciara

Born-again Christian and hip-hop artist Ciara won't be showing off her "Goodies" anytime soon.  After her breaking up with rapper Future, she 1,2 stepped into the heart of Seattle Seahawks quarterback, Russell Wilson.  The couple got married in July 2016, and have been vocal about their family and their faith ever since.

But, it was a January 2018 Instagram post that had fans confused about Ciara's true personality.  She posted a video of pastor John Gray stating, "You’re not a wife when I marry you, you’re a wife when I find you," with the caption, "Level Up."  Clearly, this did not sit well with single ladies, as the singer's message came off as overly-traditional and disempowering towards women.  She quickly took to social media to apologize for the incident, but left many people to believe that her sentiment was not genuine.

Wife Material: Mindy Kaling

Comedienne Mindy Kaling may not seem like your typical wife material, but she fits all the requirements.  Her smile radiates across the television screen and her goofy attitude hits home with the audience.  Playing a drama queen customer service rep on the hit workplace comedy, The Office, Kaling quickly rose to fame.  The on-screen romance between her character and B.J. Novak's character, Kelly and Ryan, was one of the show's recurring storylines. But what most people don't know is that the two actors actually dated in real-life.  Their on-again, off-again relationship definitely enhanced their character's chemistry.

After The Office, Kaling moved onto the self-titled sitcom, The Mindy Project. Not only did she star in the series, but she also created, wrote, and produced it! Off-screen, Kaling has even written two New York Times best-selling memoirs. Now that is one multi-talented woman!

Clinger: Gwyneth Paltrow

45-year-old actress, Gwyneth Paltrow, has not handled relationships very well in the past.  After her divorce from Coldplay frontman, Chris Martin, the truth about Paltrow's controlling demeanor made the tabloids. According to US Weekly, the Academy award-winner used to mock her ex-husband's diet, even going as far as calling him a "moron." A friend of the couple's told the magazine that for Martin, living with Paltrow "was like living with a bossy school teacher or etiquette coach."

Although she ragged on her ex for his food choices, Paltrow has some questionable ideologies herself. The Iron Man actress's website, GOOP, has been dubbed the "worst pseudoscience" site by The Skeptic Magazine. The blog pushes alternative healing techniques and holistic wellness products. Some of the more bizarre recommendations are bedroom "dust" to spice up your love life and the suggestion that women should insert jade eggs into some strange places.

Wife Material: Reese Witherspoon

The ever-lovely Reese Witherspoon would be the typical Type-A wife. The Sweet Home Alabama star hails from Louisiana, and has a charismatic Southern charm that drives fans wild. From the lovable protagonist, Elle Woods, in the Legally Blonde movies, to her Oscar-winning role as June Carter Cash in Walk the Line, Witherspoon has seen myriad of success in the film industry.

Off-screen, the beautiful actress spends her time behind the scenes.  In 2012, Witherspoon and producer Bruna Papandrea merged their companies to form the production company Pacific Standard.  During a Q&A session with The Hollywood Reporter, the partners stated that the goal of their entertainment business was to "support new female voices in film."

That all being said, Reese is standard wife material: gorgeous, successful, independent, personable, and sweet!

Clinger: Courtney Love

In the world of polarizing celebrity wives, right behind Yoko Ono, there is Courtney Love. The punk singer is most famously noted as the wife of late-Nirvana frontman, Kurt Cobain. In recent years, Love has cleaned up her act, telling David Letterman in 2015 on the Late Show, that she has kicked her bad habits.  When asked what her poison of choice was, Love responded, "All of it, just all of it."

Despite her epic turnaround, there are still lingering questions about her infamous past.  Many fans believe that Love was the main reason that Cobain took his own life, while others believe it was because of Cobain's personal struggles. More light was shed on the grunge couple's relationship in the documentary Montage of Heck, which was produced by their daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Viewers caught a glimpse of never before seen footage of their dysfunctional relationship. Maybe Love's not a clinger, but she doesn't fit the traditional wife material mold either!

Wife Material: Scarlett Johansson

ScarJo would make the ultimate partner. Like her character in The Avengers, Natasha Romanov, a.k.a. Black Widow, she can either be super tough, or gently calm you down, as she does with the Hulk. Men everywhere love her luscious lips and gleaming smile. Even NBA superstar, Kevin Durant, once tweeted out his admiration for her.

Still, the award-winning actress does hold one belief that may deter you from putting a ring on her finger. In a 2017 interview, Johansson dove into her past relationship with ex-husband, Romain Dauriac. She said that even though the practice of marriage is a "very beautiful thing," that it isn't "natural to be a monogamous person."  Loyalty issues aside, everything else about Scarlet is pure bliss!

Clinger: Angelina Jolie

Angelina Jolie has been in the news recently for her messy divorce with Brad Pitt, leaving the Mr. and Mrs. Smith star's dirty laundry out to dry in public. The power couple called it quits after Pitt allegedly got into a physical altercation with their oldest son, Maddox, prompting an investigation from authorities.  On top of that, according to Pop Sugar, there were allegedly other issues within their marriage.  Still, unlike her name would suggest, Angelina is no little angel.

Despite being a humanitarian and global activist, the Maleficent star has always been attracted to the macabre. It has been noted in The NY Daily News, that if Jolie's acting career was unsuccessful, she would fall back on a career as a funeral director. Her dark antics have led some people to believe that she is just plain crazy.  Can you blame them? She is clearly a Stage-5 clinger!

Wife Material: Alison Brie

Actress Allison Brie is the perfect combination of unique and provocative.  She rose to wife status in the drama series Mad Men, and flexed her comedy muscles as Annie Edison in the NBC cult comedy, Community. Currently starring in the girl power Netflix series, GLOW, Brie's acting versatility shows no bounds, as she's taken home a Golden Globe, and SAG award.

Unfortunately for all the bachelor's out there, you'll have to steal the actress away from Dave Franco.  The couple met at 2011 Mardi Gras parade in New Orleans, and started dating shortly after.  During an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Franco stated that due to Alison's love for his cats, that "she was really the only option [for marriage]."  The quirky couple finally tied the knot in 2017, much to the dismay of Brie's admirers.

Clinger: Evelyn Lozada

Sports WAG and Basketball Wives star, Evelyn Lozada, may possess too much "diva-ness" for any relationship. Lozada's former fiancé, NBA star Antoine Walker, slammed the reality star for leaving him, essentially calling her a gold digger. After his NBA career, Walker notably went bankrupt, and claimed much of it had to do with Lozada's lifestyle. He stated that she was able to "reap the full benefits" of his NBA stardom, yet left him in the dust when the money dried up.

After she was done with Walker, Lozada quickly moved on to an athlete that could match her 'diva-ness' in Chad Ochocinco. The couple quickly got married, but a month after the wedding, a scandal rocked their household. It seems that trouble follows her into every relationship that she's in.

Wife Material: Emma Stone

Academy award-winner Emma Stone has exactly what it takes to be the perfect spouse. Her smile lights up the red carpet, and she's proven to be a versatile actress. The 29-year-old starlet first made her on-screen debut in the 2005 made-for-TV movie, The New Partridge Family. But, it wasn't until her role as Jules in the 2007 coming of age comedy, Superbad, that Stone hit the big time. According to Forbes, she was the highest paid actress in the world in 2017, raking in a cool $26-million.

If her earnings alone don't make you want to get down on one knee, than you can look past her celebrity exterior and into her inner nerd.  The self-proclaimed Star Wars fan made an appearance in the 2011 cancer benefit video, "Use the Force for Good." She also spoofed a Star Wars audition in a 2015 episode of SNL. Stone will definitely make some nerdy guy very happy someday!

Clinger: Katy Perry

Pop artist Katy Perry may seem innocent enough on the stage, but she's a total diva behind the curtains. According to The Daily Mail, her ex-husband, Russell Brand, has notably stated that her "vapid, vacuous, and plastic" celebrity lifestyle was the reason behind their divorce.  Diving deeper into Perry's failed relationships, another ex-boy toy, rapper Travie McCoy, knew that the singer wasn't wife material. After their breakup, he took a shot at Perry in the song "Looking at the Front Door."

But, the 13-time Grammy nominee isn't too self-aware about her Stage-5 status, as she as recently called One Direction singer, Niall Horan, a Stage-5 Clinger on Instagram.  Well Katy, it takes one to know one! Clearly, the two pop artists were poking fun at each other, but we wouldn't put the comment past Perry, since it's like she was talking into a mirror!

Wife Material: Gal Gadot

Israeli actress Gal Gadot has women wanting to be her, and men wanting to be with her.   The Wonder Woman star rocked the silver screen as the valiant Amazon superhero, giving young girls everywhere a role model to idolize.  In real life, Gadot has embodied her feminine strength, as she won the Miss Israel beauty pageant in 2004, and then served two years in the Israeli military. That's the type of beauty and dedication that makes-up wife material!

While you may daydream about wedding this 32-year-old actress, unfortunately, she's off the market, and very much in love.  In 2008, Gadot married her businessman husband, Yaron Versano, in Tel Aviv. Despite their ten-year age difference, and Gadot's overwhelming box office success, Versano remains a supporting husband. It also helps that his net worth is also rumored to be in the millions!

Clinger: Lindsay Lohan

Aside from Macaulay Culkin, Lindsay Lohan is the quintessential example of a child actor gone bad. After her rise to fame in the early 2000s,  Lohan slowly slipped into the world of partying, ruining her career in the process. She had a few on-camera roles since crashing and burning in the limelight, but will soon be back on the television screen in the 2018 Sky One series, Sick Note. Hopefully she doesn't try and spout off her odd, new accent!

Just like her career, all of Lohan's relationships have ended badly.  There was her time with Jason Segel, her brief stint "batting for the other team," and her rumored love for Heath Ledger when he passed away. On top of all her public relationships, InTouch Weekly got a hold of Lohan's real-life Mean Girls "burn book," which detailed her conquests of the men in Hollywood. Names included in list were actor Joaquin Phoenix, teen heartthrob Zac Efron, the multi-talented James Franco, and even Justin Timberlake! Needless to say, you probably don't want to be the next name in that book!

Wife Material: Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence is an open book outside the box office. She has a crass sense of humor in front of the camera, leading fans to believe that she isn't hiding anything (except her iCloud password, of course). From her bubbling personality to her versatile acting ability, any man (or woman, if you're into that) would be more than ecstatic to wife up J-Law.

The 27-year-old actress has done more in her short career than most seasoned stars due in a lifetime. She's already received an Academy Award for best actress for her portrayal of an unstable widow in Silver Linings Playbook, and has also received multiple Golden Globes.  In 2015 and 2016, J-Law even topped Forbes' list of highest paid actresses! With her down-to earth-attitude, Lawrence appears to be just another "girl next door" who found her way into Hollywood. Perfect wife material!

Clinger: Jennifer Lopez

Divas are a lot to handle, and Jennifer Lopez is no different.  The 48-year-old singer has tried her hand at marriage three separate times, but it has never seemed to work out.  Most notably, she wed Latin pop singer Marc Antony in 2004, but the couple got divorced nearly a decade later. While they remain amicable, J-Lo needed a man who could treat her like the diva that she is, and who better than fellow diva: Alex Rodriguez.

The former baseball player has been dating Lopez since early 2017, and things are getting pretty serious.  According to Hollywood Life, a source close to Alex told the site that the athlete was finally ready to settle down with Lopez after she "changed him for the better."  Just remember Alex, Love Don't Cost A Thing!

Wife Material: Kate Middleton

Hail to the Queen's granddaughter in-law! When it comes to wife material, Kate Middleton is at the absolute pinnacle of the game. Not only is she absolutely stunning and a member of arguably the most prominent family in the world, but she also has an eye for fashion. The Duchess of Cambridge became interested in clothing design much before she met Prince William at the University of St Andrews boarding school in Scotland.

Although Kate is frequently caught by the paparazzi donning oddly-shaped hats and floral print dresses, she tends to hide away from the public eye. Instead, she focuses on raising her two children, with a third due in early summer 2018!

Luckily for her Highness, the royal wife spotlight is focused on her future sister-in-law, Meghan Markle, as she prepares to wed Prince Harry on May 19, 2018. But, according to a poll by Express, nearly two-thirds of the British public would rather marry Middleton than Markle!

Clinger: Kim Kardashian

From British royalty to American royalty, we move on to the ever-polarizing Kim Kardashian. Is she drop-dead gorgeous? Yes. Is she rich? Yes. Does she know what a rhetorical question is? Probably not. As seen on the hit E! reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians (KUWTK), Kim is not the brightest bulb in the bunch. Good thing Kanye is there to concoct some crazy logic for both of them! All kidding aside, Kim appears to be a loving and caring mother for her three children.

Still, she's riddled with clinger status as many of her past relationships have been ploys to gain viewership on KUWTK.  Take for example her brief, disastrous nuptials with NBAer, Kris HumphriesRumor has it that Humphries' proposal was staged, and Kim reportedly received over $2-million dollars in sponsorship for the televised wedding, according to Buzz Feed. Even Humphries himself felt duped by the marriage, as he filed for an annulment, not a divorce, on the ground of fraud.

Wife Material: Anna Kendrick

Finally, it's time for the best of the wife material celebrities: Anna Kendrick. The 32-year-old Pitch Perfect actress may not look like your typical celeb, but that's the reason she's so likeable!  She's a must-follow on social media, as she is surprisingly-hilarious and downright quirky. Also, for those of you who are skeptical about what celebs look like without twenty layers of make-up, Anna has posted several all-natural selfies and not much changed!

Kendrick's acting versatility spills over in to her personal life in a positive way.  She can dazzle in custom gown on the red carpet, or stay at home and shows in unwashed sweatpants, eating a tub of ice cream. Also, if you're a nerdy dude, you're in luck! Anna is a nerd herself and reportedly loves Star Wars and Lord of the Rings, according to Complex.  Truly a lady and geek rolled in one: the ultimate celebrity wife fantasy.

Clinger: Taylor Swift

"Look What You Made Me Do!" Okay, maybe you didn't make me do it, but Taylor Swift deserves to be at number one on every list of celebrity Stage-5 clingers. Why? Simply because she's made millions of dollars writing songs about her breakups!  There's a common denominator in all of those relationships... and Swift apparently doesn't realize it (hint: it's her)!

In fact, the Riverfront Times believes that the country-turned-pop singer is actually a psychopath!  They asked a psychologist to provide traits of psychopaths, and simply matched Swift's behavior to the description.  In short, she exhibits a superficial charm, high intelligence, a manipulative personality, and an outwardly low level of humbleness. Does that sound like Taylor Swift to you?

For all the Swifties in the world, don't be alarmed though, there's no "Bad Blood."  Take the hate and just "Shake It Off.As for the rest of society, if you don't want to be the subject of a poorly written break-up ballad, than swiftly un-cling from T-swizzle!
