Britney Spears has certainly had some ups and downs in life, but no matter, what she always seems to manage to get back on top. She had a regular Las Vegas show where she rocked out on the stage in a how similar to the likes of Celine Dion. She spent four years doing that gig and making well over $100 million in ticket sales during that time. She had her last show in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve and we are now wondering what this pop star is going to do now.

By the sound of it, Britney Spears wants to get back on the road again and start touring, and on top of that, she wants to release another album. It hasn’t even been a year since she released her ninth album Glory. It will be interesting to see what the new year brings for Spears.

She certainly is no stranger to spending money and it’s rumored that she spent $11 million just in one year alone. She lives the lavish lifestyle like so many other celebrities. She has no problem spending money and she has a lot of money to spend, so we can’t really blame her. Check out these 15 lavish things that Britney Spears spends her money on.

Clothes — $70,000

Name one rich girl that doesn’t like to shop, or any girl for that matter. Britney Spears has a habit of posting live Instagram videos of herself modelling her various purchases. She always looks amazing since she decided to get back in shape. She has always struggled with her identity in the media and we can truly understand why someone has a hard time being themselves. “I guess it's because I do have a younger audience that, you know, parents worry about the role model thing. But when I was younger, I looked up to people, but I never wanted to be them. I always had my own identity. I'm an entertainer when I'm on stage, and they need to explain that to their kids. That's not my job to do that.”

Regular Massages — $122,613

Nothing is more relaxing than a massage, especially at a spa. You just literally melt on the bed and your body feels amazing afterward. It’s reported that in one year, Spears spent $122,613 on just massages alone. As we said, she likes to take care of herself. When it comes to working as a singer and dancer, it is probably essential that she takes care of her body and she must get sore after a night on stage. Let’s be honest, she probably claims it on her taxes, so why wouldn’t you get regular massages? “For me, success is a state of mind. I feel like success isn't about conquering something; it's being happy with who you are.” She has definitely created a new version of success for herself.

Hair And Makeup — $24,392

Lately, Spears is really great and it might have a lot to do with the fact that she spends a lot of money on hair and makeup.  In one year, Spears is likely to spend around $24,392 on her hair and makeup alone. That’s actually a lot of money if you think about it. Here's hoping it's both on products and services. Visiting a hair stylist often can be quite pricey. Spears has to find a balance between staying true to who she is and staying relevant. “Just because I look s*xy on the cover of Rolling Stone doesn't mean I'm naughty.”

Pet Care — $30,000

Britney Spears loves her dogs and she has had multiple pooches over the years. She takes their care very seriously and has no problem spending money on them. She has a Maltese and a Yorkie currently and it's been reported that she spends close to $30,000 a year on her dogs. It’s all about their care, taking them to get shampooed, and having their nails clipped. Not only that, but she likes to dress her dogs up as most celebrities do with their little dogs. This lump sum, of course, also includes the money she spends on their fancy food. She needs those dogs because she’s scared when she’s home alone. “I'm not at the point where I'd feel safe in a house alone. I would be really scared. I'm the kind of person that when I get up to go use the bathroom, I have this big long hallway, and I just know if someone's going to jump out and get me.”

Homeware — $5,000

It turns out that Britney Spears has an addiction when it comes to shopping at stores like Pottery Barn, Bath & Beyond, Albertsons, Ralphs, Vons, and Target. We can’t blame her, though, Target is addictive. When it comes to shopping for her home, Spears is always in these stores and it’s rumored that she spends $5,000 on purchases every time she shops. It’s easy to spend that amount and for a celebrity, spending thousands of dollars is really nothing.

Lavish Vacations — $20,000

Like most celebrities, Britney Spears likes to travel and she has the money to do it. She spends thousands every year on vacations and it’s always money well spent. She is a big fan of Hawaii and often takes her family there a few times a year. She was there recently after her Post-Vegas show; she headed off to spend time with her family once again. When it comes to a celebrity vacation, it’s always a lavish and expensive one. It's reported that she spends $20,000 a year on personal travel. After all, a celebrity doesn’t just stay anywhere. Recently, while in Hawaii, there was a lot of talk about a diamond ring that Spears was wearing. She has been dating Sam Asghari, so it’s possible that he popped the question. These days, though, celebrities are wearing diamonds as just a fashion statement, so who’s to say if it’s an engagement ring or not.

She Pays A Conservator — $130,000

Ever since her 2007 mental breakdown, her financial decisions have to go through her father Jamie Spears and his lawyer Andrew Wallet. That doesn’t seem to stop her from spending a ton of money whenever she wants to, though, so we think she probably isn’t on a tight leash. Her dad is 65 these days and he’s making a pretty penny off his daughter. She pays him $130,000 a year to run her business and take care of her personal affairs, something he’s been doing for 8 years now. She definitely hasn’t had it easy in the public eye. “I think with anybody who's doing well in the public eye or whatever, there's always going to be a shift because people don't want to see somebody happy all the time. And they're going to try to take shots at people.”

Household Expenses — $62,000

It’s reported that Britney Spears spends a whopping $62,000 a year on household expenses. We would love to see those receipts because how is it possible to spend that much on household items unless you count her grand piano as a household expense. If we throw in furniture and other items, then the price goes up. It seems, though, that she’s learned a lot over the years. "I've been very hands-on with everything I've done since I had my children. And it's just really important for me to understand the big picture, where everybody's coming from, what's the real purpose of this shoot and this song, or whatever it is in that moment that I'm doing.”

Entertainment — $17,000

We can imagine that when it comes to entertaining a celebrity, that can be a pricey venture. Celebrities also like dining out because they are rich, so why not? When it comes to dining and entertainment, Britney Spears spends $17,000 on just that alone. For most people, that’s the price of their car. We can't imagine spending that on just dining out throughout the year. But for Britney Spears, it’s just a drop in the bucket. Despite all the money she spends, she also seems very conscious that she spends a lot of money. “It's important to learn to say no. With tours and all of that stuff, there are so many aspects that go into it, it's easy to have so many people around you saying, 'Oh yes, yes, you can afford this, you can afford this,' and then all of the sudden, you've spent $20 million on your stage and you're like, 'Where's my money?'”

Nanny — $200,000

Many celebrities hire nannies to take care of their kids, especially when they are working. Britney Spears has a crazy schedule, so she needs to have a nanny for those times that she is working. Even if she is home, the nanny is still there. A good celebrity nanny can cost anywhere between $100,0000 and $200,000, which is a pretty great salary for a nanny. That’s a big chunk of change for just a nanny. We’ve never experienced having a nanny, but there are times where Spears is surprised that her children listen to her more than the nanny. “We have a nanny in the house, but there are always times when one of my kids does something bad or wrong, and they'll listen to me more than they do the nanny. So, I think it's important to set up that boundary of respect for them at a young age, so they will know, 'I better listen to mommy.'”

Personal Trainer — $100,000

One thing that Britney Spears has been doing a lot of this year is showing off her amazingly fit body on Instagram. She hired celebrity personal trainer Tony Martinez to get her into the best shape of her life. Celebrity trainers cost around $100,000, so that’s another big expense for the singer. His motto has always been, “Work out smarter, not longer,” and that sounds like great advice to us. She’s only with him for three or four times week for 40 minutes at a time. She will do a variety of workouts including skateboarding, running backward, and playing tennis. She, of course, has a weight-lifting routine, which is why she has such a sweet body. A personal trainer is one of the best things you can get for yourself if you can afford it. They make sure you stay dedicated to your workouts.

Personal Assistant — $130,000

We could desperately use a personal assistant in our lives. For Britney Spears, she needs one to keep her crazy life in order. It’s reported that she spends $130,000 a year on her personal assistant. Between her personal life and her career, she needs all the help she can get. She even has her own lingerie line that she’s launched, so with everything going on in her life, she really needs to have someone there to help her with her schedule. Regardless of what is going on in her life, her goal is always to inspire others. “I would like to be called an inspiration to people, not a role model because I make mistakes like everybody else. When I'm offstage, I'm just like everybody else.”

Chief Advocate — $2 Million

When it comes to protecting her assets, this girl has to protect herself even from people she trusts. She has people already in control of her legal and financial decisions, but that’s not enough. She paid out $2 million for a chief advocate. The court appointed Samuel Ingham III to make sure that her conservators don’t abuse their power or rob her dry. It’s pretty sad that she has to spend this kind of money just to protect herself. Especially since it’s her own father who is one of the conservators. No matter what, she has to protect her career and her income because that’s how she can buy all these lavish things. “I always wanted to be a singer, it's what I wanted to do since I was little. I'm doing it now and I couldn't be happier.”

Plane Tickets — $38,000

Britney Spears is pretty generous when it comes to her family; she’s always taking care of them. She often spends money on plane tickets throughout the year for her family to come and see her. In one year, she spent $38,000 on what she called “family support.” That amount included sending plane tickets to her family members, as well as giving her mother, Lynne Spears, a $500 weekly allowance. We love Spears' generosity, but is it necessary to give a parent an allowance when they have a businesses of their own? Her dad makes $130,000 off Spears alone.

Christmas Lights — $3,400

Britney Spears has always lived in mansions and when it comes time for Christmas, she likes to decorate her home. Her mansions are enormous, so when it comes to putting up Christmas lights, it means buying a lot of lights. One year, Spears spent around $3,400 on Christmas lights alone. Maybe she was trying to recreate the look of National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation. Either way, celebrities typically go all out when it’s Christmas, so we doubt that it’s unusual. It’s great to be in the Christmas spirit. When it comes to Spears, she’s always growing as a person and she understands that life is all about constantly growing and moving forward. “I still have a lot to learn — about the business, about music, and about myself. It’s exciting.” We love her attitude in life, and we look forward to seeing what she has in store for us this year.
