Most people who have extensive careers in any field tend to seek lovers who work in their field. It's a perfectly normal thing to do given how we all strive to find a partner who can relate to what we do. Celebrities in Hollywood are no different, but considering the complicated life of a celebrity, it might be even more essential for celebrities to date other celebrities. Between the countless hours on the set or seemingly endless recording sessions in the booth and the overwhelming amount of paparazzi at their doorstep at every waking moment of the day, dating a celebrity can be difficult for a normal person to do. Most normies wind up splitting as soon as things get a little too hot underneath their partner's spotlight.

However, as with every rule, there comes an exception. Some celebrities have been lucky enough to find some normal people who they not only fall in love with, but who are also more willing to stick around without feeling overwhelmed by everything that comes with dating a celebrity. Here, we have a few examples of celebrities who you may not have known are dating regular people.

Mark Hamill And Marilou York

For a large bulk of his career, Mark Hamill has been globally recognized as the powerful Jedi Luke Skywalker. Despite living an extraordinary acting career, Hamill decided to marry someone with a much more ordinary expertise. Hamill's wife of almost 40 years has been Marilou York, a dental hygienist. The two briefly broke up after the release of Star Wars because he "went to Las Vegas to date 38-year old showgirls," so he told People Magazine. This only lasted "10 minutes" before he ran back into Marilou's arms. They've been inseparable ever since. The two married in 1978 — a year after meeting — and their first child was born during the production of The Empire Strikes Back.

Anthony Anderson And Alvina Stewart

Anthony Anderson decided to marry someone with a completely normal profession. So normal that we cannot even trace what Alvina Stewart does for a living; it certainly isn't anything in the entertainment industry like her husband. What we did find out was that her and Anderson's marriage was on the brink of collapse until very recently. The two married in 1999, but they separated in 2014 (neither party disclosed why) and Stewart filed for divorce in 2015. The two managed to mend their relationship in January 2017, when Stewart told a judge to dismiss her divorce petition. They were recently seen on the red carpet on loving terms.

Lea Michele And Zandy Reich

When fans caught ABC's The Mayor star Lea Michele acting cutesy in public with an unknown hunk by the name of Zandy Reich, they all were more than curious to find out who he was. Turns out that he's doing pretty well for himself, professionally. His bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania has allowed him to find some hot success in the business world. He used to be the head of business strategy and development at Theory, a clothing company, and now he is the president of his own clothing company, All Year Round (AYR). He and Lea Michele were friends for a long time before deciding to date this past summer.

Karlie Kloss And Joshua Kushner

Karlie Kloss is an international supermodel, but also happens to have another career on the side as an entrepreneur. That explains why she has been dating a guy who is a business man himself, Joshua Kushner, ever since 2012. He is currently the founder and managing partner of the investment company known as Thrive Capital. Kloss often professes her love about Kushner in interviews, although she does not love the fact that his brother is the son-in-law of President Donald Trump, a man who Kloss has openly opposed. Meaning, if she and Josh ever do decide to tie the knot, she'll probably be seeing a lot more of Trump and will even be somewhat related to him.

Emily Osment And Jim Gilbert

Emily Osment typically has a history with dating fellow celebrities, like her Hannah Montana co-star Mitchel Musso and Spy Kids star Daryl Sabara. Now, for the time being at least, she has chosen a change of pace by dating a total normie. His name is Jim Gilbert and he is a therapist who works for the Verdugo Hills Autism Project. Judging by the jovial pictures she has posted of the two of them together on social media, they seem like quite the happy couple. She has also noted that he brings a competitive streak to their relationship. He tries to shout louder than her at baseball games and claims that he is better at tanning than she is.

Zach Galifianakis And Quinn Lundberg

In 2012, Zach Galifianakis married his longtime girlfriend, Quinn Lundberg. Lundberg is a social worker who regularly practises philanthropy as the co-founder of the Growing Voices charity. In 2010, she graduated with a certificate in International Conflict Resolution from the CUNY Baccalaureate Program in New York City. She had aspirations to pursue a career as a dancer at a dance company for Canadian peacekeeping troops in Bosnia, but seeing the destruction caused by ethnic conflict there convinced her to work more toward making the world a better place. Eventually, she met Zach Galifianakis and after dating for awhile, they married on a private farm. They have two children.

Jon Bernthal And Erin Angle

The former Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal really came into his own as a mega star with 2017 being his breakout year. While he already has plenty to celebrate this year after showing his chops as a leading man on Netflix's Punisher series, he also celebrated the 7th wedding anniversary with Erin. Since he and his wife live such a private life, we don't know much about her. However, we do know that she comes from quite a famous family. Her uncle is professional wrestler and WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle. Erin, on the other hand, has kept her life out of the spotlight and focuses on raising their three kids.

Gal Gadot And Yaron Versano

Gal Gadot recently spoke with Glamour Magazine about how she met her husband, real estate developer Yaron Versano. Ten years prior, the two ran into each other while at a party in the Israeli desert held by mutual friends. Mind you, this was not the typical party filled with merriness and drinking. This party was all about yoga, chakras, eating healthy, and spreading good vibes. Apparently, those vibes were good enough to convince Gadot and Versano to cling to each other. It was then on September 28, 2008 that the two got married. The couple have two children together and briefly owned a hotel in Tel Aviv before selling it to Roman Abramovich for $26 million.

Charlie Hunnam And Morgana McNelis

Former star of the hit TV show Sons of Anarchy and leading man of King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, Charlie Hunnam is dating a jewelry designer by the name of Morgana McNelis. McNelis loves designing jewelry just as much as she loves Hunnam. She actually almost owned her own jewelry company with her sister, but their business was doomed from the start as it started around the same time as the fall of the economy in 2007; they were victims of bad timing. She fell in love with her craft at age 20, but her love for Hunnam stems from a relationship that has lasted 12 years. The two have yet to the tie the knot, but they do own a ranch where they own several donkeys and chickens.

Matt Damon And Luciana Barroso

In 2003, Matt Damon was originally supposed to be filming his comedy movie, Stuck on You, in Hawaii, but for some reason, it got relocated to Miami. When he looks back on it in retrospect, he's glad the film was relocated to Miami because one night after getting dragged by crew members to a bar to grab a beer, he had a chance encounter the woman who would become his future wife, Luciana Barroso. Damon saw her across from him in a crowded room and before he knew it, he was in love. The two got married in 2005 and after spending 12 years and having three children, the two are still madly in love with each other.

Woody Harrelson And Laura Louie

Woody Harrelson has been seeing Laura Louie, a businesswoman, ever since 1989 and the two have been married since 2008, but their relationship was in jeopardy way back in 2002. That year, while out drunk in London, he had a foursome with three other ladies. One of them was part of the paparazzi and got a photographer to come out and snap pics of them while in the act. Those pictures hit the tabloids and his wife saw them. Instead of completely snapping at him and breaking off their relationship forever, she was understanding and forgiving of his mistake. They're still together.

Donald Glover And Michelle

Donald Glover's career as a multi-talented artist and creator has been booming over the course of the last year alone. His show Atlanta became a mega hit — he won two Golden Globes and two Emmys for his work on the show, he was cast as a young Lando Calrissian for the upcoming Han Solo origin film, his critically acclaimed album Awaken, My Love has been nominated for multiple Grammys, and he had his first child with his girlfriend, Michelle. We have no idea what Michelle does for a living — pretty much confirming that she lives a normal life — but he name dropped her and his child, Legend, on stage this year. The couple is reportedly expecting a second child very soon.

Zoe Saldana And Marco Perego

Zoe Saldana's husband may look like the average Hollywood superstar, but believe us when we say he is far from it. Marco Perego is an artist from New York City. He comes from a family where his mother was a stay-at-home mom and his dad was a waiter. Before settling on the arts, he had ambitions of becoming a soccer player before a leg injury halted those plans. He then worked as a busboy before giving the art world a shot. Along the way, he met Zoe Saldana. After five years of knowing each other, Marco popped the question. She said yes, they had a private wedding ceremony, and he got a tattoo of her face on his forearm. They now have three children together.

Vince Vaughn And Kyla Weber

Vince Vaughn broke out on the Hollywood scene thanks to his comedic performances in movies like Swingers and Wedding Crashers. In more recent years, he has decided to take his career in a more serious direction with dramatic performances in works like True Detective and his new movie Brawl in Cell Block 99. He also seems to be taking his love life to a more serious level with Kyla Weber. Weber is a realtor, a stark contrast from her husband's career. The two have been married ever since 2010 and have two children together. He has referred to her in passing, gushingly, as the "best girl in the world."

Amy Schumer And Chris Fischer

This past November, the paparazzi spotted Amy Schumer on what appeared to be a dinner date with a chef-turned-farmer named Chris Fischer. We are not sure if the two are officially "boyfriend and girlfriend" now or if this turned out to be a one-time deal, but this sure did look like a date. It was reported that the two shared stories while staring into each other's eyes in a cozy restaurant spot while sipping on swanky bottles of wine. This wouldn't be the first time the comedian would date a non-celebrity as she previously dated a guy named Ben Hanisch, who she met on a social media app. Her and Ben broke up in May after 18 months together. Hopefully for Schumer, this new thing with Fischer will last longer.
