This Nifty Application Lets You Try Shoes On Virtually From Home

It sucks having to return that pair of shoes you couldn't wait to have delivered.

While it's quite convenient not having to leave the house to get your shoes these days, physical stores will always have the advantage of buyers trying on their shoes right there.

Thanks to this new app called Wanna Kicks, though, you could find out how a shoe might fit you all from the comfort of your own home as you could get a proper look at how sneakers would look on your feet before ordering them.

Of course, you aren't going to actually feel anything so you won't be able to judge on that front. But the AR app provides users with a good idea of how certain shoes will look when their feet are inside them.

Unfortunately, the application is only available for iOS and you'd need to have iOS or later on your device. You'd also need to own an iPhone 6s or up.

"Welcome to our magical AR shop for sneaker heads," the description in the Apple App Store reads. "Here you can discover sneakers with 3D augmented reality, instantly try it on your feet, and purchase afterwards.

"Remember the last time you’ve returned your purchase? Photos aren’t always similar to what you see in reality. AR solves that. With the help of a smartphone camera and augmented reality, you can try on shoes wherever you are! You’ll see how the sneakers look in differently lit rooms. Don’t purchase it before you’ll make sure it suits your style."

So how does it work?

Well, a user simply has to point his/her phone's camera at his/her bare feet and the app does the rest. Once the camera is locked in, one can swipe to scroll through various color options or dry on different pairs.

When users find shoes they like, they're also offered links to stores where the footwear could be ordered. Links, though, point straight to manufacturer websites, so it would probably be worth shopping around before settling on a purchase right then and there.
