Any photographers or videographers who shoot most of their footage in high-definition no longer have to worry about packing numerous SD cards at once anymore. Luckily, Lexar has just revealed their newest mammoth SD memory card with the capacity to store 1 terabyte of photos and video.

With 1TB of storage, professionals can now store up to 500 hours of video on one single SD card. The card itself is the first ever functional SD memory card that can be used for midrange DSLR's, HD camcorders and even 3D camera! This is truly a game changer, considering how much storage capacity this one single card can hold, however, it isn't the cheapest! It goes without saying that convenience certainly does come at a cost, and in this case, the 1TB SD memory card comes with a hefty $500 price tag. Considering most standard SD cards ranging between 64 GB and 128 GB can cost anywhere between $40 to $60, as sold through countless retailers, this new price jump can come as quite a shock.

Joey Lopez, Lexar's senior marketing manager said in a statement how: "consumers continue to demand greater storage for their cameras ... with a 1TB option, it now offers a solution for content creators who shoot large volumes of high-resolution images ranging from 1080p all the way to 4K". If your career revolves around cameras, then this might be the perfect investment for you, however, we can't imagine just anyone buying a card for so much, although the storage can be extremely useful! Let us know if you would dish out $500 for this 1TB SD memory card.
