Spotted! Where Celebrities Dine in London

London's known for a lot of things: royals, history, musicians... and the list goes on. But one thing it's not known for is it's food. There's over 12,000 places to eat in the city, and it's easy to fall victim to a bad meal. Though London's traditional cuisine once had the reputation of being bland, it has come a long way thanks to an infusion of different cultures and twists on the traditional.

For those who are willing to spend a little extra to ensure a good meal, why not be served up a little entertainment with your food? We've put together some of the best hotspots, so you can take in a star sighting or two while you dig in to your next meal. From formal afternoon tea to fancy seven course meals, these restaurants are some of the most fashionable in town.

If you want to dine like a star, then you must check out our list of where your favorite celebrities eat when in London.

7 Kelly Osbourne, Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse, Russell Brand, Kate Moss at The Hawley Arms

This pub serves up all the classics: fish and chips, bangers and mash, meat pies, burgers and of course, British beer. You can feast on these traditional dishes while enjoying some great rock music in a friendly atmosphere for about $50+ per person. This was an old stomping ground for the late Amy Winehouse, who performed and dined there.

However, it's also been frequented by other rock royalty including Kelly Osborne, Johnny Borrell (Razorlight), Lilly Allen and Liam Gallagher (Oasis). Russell Brand, Kate Moss and Dita Von Teese have also stopped by the pub. With so many celebs in and out, it's a must visit when in Camden.

6 Shakira, Stella McCartney at Momo

Be prepared to be swept off your feet at Momo. The aroma of lamb and shrimp mixed with authentic Moroccan pastries will simply make you drool. While you wait for your food, bask in the chill music and exotic designs, North African furnishing of which you can purchase in the Tea Room next door. That way you can really leave with a piece of Momo!

To grab a seat in this cozy eatery, you must reserve a minimum of two weeks in advance. It's exclusive setting, down a small side street, makes it a top choice for the rich and famous who want to escape without being snapped by the paparazzi. Shakira and Stella McCartney are just a few who have had a bite there, priced at $60+ per person.

5 Gwyneth Paltrow, Madonna at Julie's Restaurant and Champagne Bar

What was once a hippie hideaway when the doors opened in 1969 has transformed into the "rock chick of the restaurant world". Julia's chic yet eclectic style bares rooms that connect like jagged puzzle pieces, each with different decor. This Notting Hill resto's unique design allows guests to feel warm, welcome and exclusive. Even in the brightest and most airy rooms, the tables are private and small. That plus their mouth-watering organic eats (with meals at $80+ per person) makes this place a top destination for rich and famous rock stars. No wonder celebs like Gwyneth Paltrow (wife to Coldplay's Chris Martin) and Madonna have stopped in.

What's more, the restaurant includes a Sunday Creche, so that kiddies can be whisked away to a playroom while parents keep on eating. The website even boasts an adorable letter about how cool the creche is, which we could totally see Apple penning and giving to mom Gwyneth (and later appearing on GOOP!)

4 Pippa Middleton at The Bluebird Cafe, Scott's Restaurant and Bo Lang

Sundaes, puddings and classic British cheeses - the Bluebird Cafe offers patrons a taste of their youth. Therefore we think it's only fitting that Pippa Middleton took mom Carole there to dine. And with a three-course Mother's Day special priced at $75 per person coming up soon (March 30), might they be back? Using only fresh and local ingredients, we think it'd be hard to stay away from this King's Road cafe.

Still, Pippa has been seen popping into Scott's Restaurant for oysters and champagne (costing $115+ per person) as well Bo Lang with her beau Nico Jackson for dim sum ($65+ per person). To top it off, just last week she was out with a friend for lunch in the city. Though it's hard to peg where this English socialite will pop up next, you get a near-royal seal of approval on these three eateries!

3 Victoria & David Beckham, Tom Cruise & Nicole Kidman, Brad Pitt at The Ivy

From the day the doors opened in 1917, The Ivy was popular among London's theater community. Today it's still a favorite eatery for actors, but also for many other national and international celebrities. If you're hoping to spot a star, this is one of your best choices.

Plus you can enjoy some traditional British fare in a warm and intimate atmosphere while you're at it, starting at $85 per person. Be sure to check the dress code before popping in as this resto has some rules. We can totally understand why the ever-chic Posh and Becks dined here!

2 Beyonce, Jay Z, Kanye West, & Kim Kardashian at Zuma

With locations in several cosmopolitan cities, London's Zuma certainly does not disappoint. At over $100 per person, you can expect decadent and savory Japanese dishes, the food presentation being almost as pristine as the restaurant's decor. This place is where the super rich and super trendy come to dine; there's loud music, dim lights and small tables giving the feeling of an intimate dinner inside a trendy nightclub. Makes sense then that music's power couple Beyonce and Jay Z stopped in for a bite with Kanye and Kim.

We can see why celebs love this spot. You can request private rooms to keep out any prying eyes. Besides celebrities you'll find lots of London's young and wealthy at Zuma's tables. To snag your own seat, be sure to reserve because Zuma is where everyone wants to be, so it fills up fast.

1 Adele at Rasoi

If you're looking for a taste of London's finest Indian cuisine, then you'll want to try Rasoi - just ring the doorbell when you get there. That's right, this award winning restaurant is so exclusive that you can only enter by ringing the bell. In fact, we strongly recommend you make a reservation if you want to have one of their rich, succulent meals.

The charming eatery located inside an 100-year old Chelsea townhouse serves up traditional dishes with a twist. They have seven course meals starting at $150 per person, including meat and vegetarian versions. You can also order a la carte like Grammy award winner Adele and her baby daddy Simon Konecki did. If you want a recommendation, they sampled some veggie and chicken dishes when they visited.
