The "Applause” singer, known for her peculiar taste in music, fashion and art has expressed her deep admiration for Michael by admitting she spent $1 million for the King of Pop’s memorabilia.
Gaga shelled out more than a million over 55 pieces of Michael Jackson’s prized items, which include his studded leather jacket from the Bad video and his famed spangle white glove.
"The 55 pieces I collected today will be archived & expertly cared for in the spirit & love of Michael Jackson, his bravery, & fans worldwide," Gaga expressed in a Tweet.
Rumor has it that Gaga has plans on opening up an archive and museum to showcase the items she bought to fellow Michael Jackson fans.
Moreover, she surprised everyone after bidding to get Jackson’s grisly head injury photographs worth $1.6 million. It is a graphic photo of his scalp being opened by doctors after his accident while filming a Pepsi ad in 1984. He was rushed to the hospital after a second degree burn.
The photo, which came with medical records, was retrieved by the ambulance driver Brian McDaniel in a trash bin in Culver City, Calif. near Brotman Medical Center where Jackson was treated.
"Lady Gaga's attorney and ours have been dealing with each other and she's very much in the frame," said Tim Miller of Flatsigned, an auction house based in Nashville which sold the photograph on behalf of McDaniel. Flatsigned also expects the photos to be auctioned off for at least $1.6 million.
The money raised at the auction is said to be donated to Guide Dogs of America and Nathan Adelson Hospice of Las Vegas.
