Former Two and a Half Men star donated $12,000 for the funeral expenses of the paparazzo who was killed while trying to get a photo of teen star Justin Bieber.
Chris Guerra was hit by a car last January of this year while attempting to take photos of Bieber’s Ferrari. The 29-year-old was pronounced dead at the hospital shortly after the incident.
Chris happened to have a common friend with Charlie Sheen. Sheen covered a large chunk of the expenses after hearing that the family was raising money for the funeral.
“A tragic incident like this erases the line between the photographer and the subject. It’s an unforgiving moment that begs us all to be human and work as one to prevent this in the future. As parents, we are all not supposed to bury our children. My deepest condolences to the families involved,” Sheen told TMZ.
Beiber, in a statement, expressed his thoughts on the incident: “Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders and the photographers themselves,” Bieber said.
The act was just one of the many good deeds of Anger Management actor in the past. Sheen has also shelled out $75,000 to fund the 10-year-old Jasmine Fault against her fight for cancer as well as $100,000 for Lindsay Lohan to pay for her tax debt.
