Bruce Willis ditched the offer to be cast in Expendables 3. This, after he refused the $3 million offer for four consecutive days of filming in Bulgaria for the film’s latest sequel.
The Die Hard actor originally demanded a $4 million pay for four days, which would mean a greedy $1 million a day. A source divulged, "He said he'd drop out unless he got $4 million. A million dollars a day. Stallone and everybody else involved said no."
It was reported that Sylvester Stallone, one of the lead cast members was not happy about it. Willis played the role of Mr. Church in the first two films. The 67-year-old actor even took to Twitter to announce the news. "WILLIS OUT… Harrison Ford IN !!!! GREAT NEWS !!!!! Been waiting years for this!!!!," Stallone wrote. He added, "GREEDY AND LAZY …… A SURE FORMULA FOR CAREER FAILURE.”
It was reported that Stallone reached out to Ford who is also willing to join the cast. The movie has a budget of $90 million and filming will begin in October. It will be shown in theaters August of next year.
Other cast members confirmed for the film are Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren and Mickey Rourke. They will be joined by prospective a cast such as Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes, Nicolas Cage and Milla Jovovich.
Meanwhile, Willis was a part of Red 2, which only received a worldwide gross of $80 million. A Good Day to Die Hard, released in February this year grossed $305 million. Bruce also had a cameo role in G.I. Joe: Retaliation, which grossed $372 million.
