A wedding - especially for a woman, is often one of the most important days of her life. It's something she's dreamed about and has started to plan from a very young age. Today, weddings have become more about the 'show' - who has the most delicious food, the best band, the most expensive venue, the largest amount of guests, the costliest wedding gown - than it is about the celebration of love between two people. But for some unexplainable reason, in the world of celebrity, there are stars who go out of their way to avoid their weddings becoming the biggest, best and most talked abut event of the year, and take extreme measures to keep it a secret.

The tropical wedding was so small, not even Garner's parents were in attendance. According to People magazine, friends and family had to pass two security checkpoints before being allowed to enter the 65-year-old private house known as the Cloisters. To avoid the location being leaked, no invitations were sent out, instead guests were notified the morning of the ceremony and given directions which they were to hand over to the fleet of limo drivers who were hired for the day. The party lasted into the wee hours of the morning with Smith providing some of the musical entertainment - at one point in the night, he jumped onstage to sing a rendition of his own hit song, Getting' Jiggy Wit It.

The couple who are rarely photographed together, were dating for a year before making it official in June of 2013. A source told the New York Daily News that guests were flown to the secret location in a private plane and the bride wore a plain, slim fitting white dress.
