It’s not always easy to find time to work out. A 45 minute to 1 hour long workout can take 3 or 4 hours by the time you drive or walk to the gym, take a class or go about your usual fitness routine, then go back home, eat some protein and shower. Spin class or indoor cycling burns a lot of calories in a short amount of time. In a 40-minute class, you can burn over 600 calories, depending on how much you weigh and how hard you work. Spinning can turn you into a calorie-burning machine. This exercise is incredibly popular with celebs including Katie Holmes, Ashley Tisdale, Katie Couric, Jake Gyllenhaal, Bradley Cooper and even Lady Gaga. And all of names listed have also been known to take spin class with ordinary folks, so you never know who you might run into at your next Soul Cycle or Flywheel class.

According to researchers at the University of Quebec in Canada, men burn 120 calories per hour during sex and women burn 90 calories per hour. That’s just a little less than half the amount burned if you spent 30 minutes jogging. But you know what’s a whole lot more fun than jogging? Having sex. Even an afternoon quickie will do you good. Some men expend more energy during quick sex sessions than they would have in the same amount of time on a treadmill. So, if you want to burn those calories and can’t decide between jogging, the treadmill or having sex; sex is always the best choice.
