Sometimes it could be very difficult to find that perfect friend; especially at a young age. Remember the first time you met your best friend? Was it in elementary school? Where the two of you sat together and just instantly “clicked,” or was it in college and your roommate that was selected for you ended up becoming your BFF? These celebrities all found their best friend at a young age, and there is little room for jealousy in most of these relationships, since both friends in each situation ended up becoming highly famous.

Even though Lady Gaga was one out of only twenty students that was accepted to the Collaborative Arts Project 21 (CAP21) at the age of 17, she dropped out during her sophomore year to spend more time on her music career. Before that, she graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart, around the same time as Nicky Hilton did. The Convent was an all-girls school, and the girls knew each other, but were not close friends (according to sources). Lady Gaga was known then as, Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, but changed her name as tribute to Queen and their song, “Radio Gaga.”

Goldie Hawn; a very popular 1980s actress, had a daughter with singer and comedian, Bill Hudson in 1979, and named her Kate Garry Hudson. Goldie wasn’t married long, and started dating Kurt Russell. The two know how it is to be the offspring of someone famous, and were able to support each other since they had this in common.
8) Victoria Justice and Taylor Lautner
When growing up in the public eye, it’s hard to not be friends with your co-workers. Even those who have not been in the same shows seem to find one another and form great friendships. Victoria Justice had her own television show, Victorious, at a young age and Taylor Lautner was in several Disney movies, including Sharkboy and Lavagirl. He then grew up to play teen girl’s favorite werewolf on the Twilight Series. Somehow these two grew a close amity as children; and there was even speculation about Victoria and Taylor dating; but they both nixed the rumors and let the public know that there is nothing but a friendship going on in their relationship.

6) Drew Barrymore and Corey Feldman
Almost everyone who grew up in the 1980s know exactly who Drew Barrymore and Corey Feldman are. The two not only grew up in Hollywood doing movies as children, but were actually good friends before they even became famous. Drew got her debut in the film, E.T., and Corey was doing commercials at the age of three, but did not get fully recognized until his teen years. Many of his movies from that decade were big hits, such as; Stand By Me, The Goonies and The Lost Boys; which was practically the beginning of teen idolization of vampires.
5) Courtney Love and Drew Barrymore
Although you can’t really say that Courtney Love and Drew Barrymore were childhood friends, seeing that Courtney is eleven years older than Drew, and they met when Courtney was 19. Apparently, the two met in a bathroom when Drew was only eight years old and was smoking a cigarette. The two became good friends, and Courtney had even asked Drew to be a godmother to her daughter.
4) Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato
Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato aren’t exactly ancient when it comes to age, but they grew up together in the public eye. Selena was a teen wizard on The Wizards of Waverly Place, and Demi played Sonny Munroe on Sonny With a Chance. It was inexorable that the two became such close friends. Now they both have amazing singing careers of their own, and even though they are still best friends, still have their occasional spout with one another. Right now it is rumored that Demi has “unfollowed” Selena on Twitter, reports say it is because of Selena’s on-again/off-again relationship with Justin Bieber. It appears that Demi is only trying to look out for her friend and does not want Selena to end up in trouble because of him.

According to an interview with an online magazine, the co-founder of the ImprovOlympic, where Tina and Amy first met, was reported as saying something about the two comediennes during their time at the class. She stated, “They were just instantly brilliant – they were not the typical women who get steamrolled by men.” It appears that once they got onto SNL, comedy history was just itching to be made.
2) Ariana Grande and Liz Gillies
In the show Victorious, there are two characters that seem to really hate each other: Cat, who is played by Ariana Grande and Jade, who is Liz Gillies. That statement about the two in real life could not be further from the truth. The two had actually met on the set of a Broadway play that they both ended up being in, and became instant best friends. The two have done everything together ever since meeting, including singing at each other’s birthday parties and excessive sleepovers. The two appear to have very different personalities, and that is probably one reason why they seem to get along so well.
1) Al Gore and Tommy Lee Jones
When thinking of celebrities and best friends, nobody really expects a politician to be on the list. Especially a politician who previously ran for the president of the United States. But Al Gore is more than just a politician; most people really do not even see him as the 45th Vice President of the United States. They basically remember him for all of the work he’s done about global warming, whether they agree with his statements or not. He and Tommy Lee Jones, met back in their Freshman year of college in their late teens. They both went to Harvard and were randomly chosen to be roommates. The two hit it off right away, and they even started a country band. To this day, Al and Tommy are still very close friends.
