One common love that all humans share is the love for food. We can all agree that there's nothing better than an all-American burger on a summer afternoon, and that sometimes you really just need a heaping plate of pasta. For some people though, food isn't just a component to life - it's a way of life. Some people are foodies, and are very specific about the foods they eat. Organic, fair-trade, cruelty-free... the list goes on and on. And then, there are the extreme eaters, who are a little bit more casual when it comes to preferences.
Extreme eaters are the people who eat 15 hot dogs in three minutes, just because they can. Extreme eaters are also the individuals who have to try seemingly disgusting food challenges just because they know they can stomach it. Shows like Man vs. Food show us just how serious these big eaters are. Man vs. Food
host, Adam Richman, has consumed some wild menu items. Richman has eaten a five pound steak, a seven and a half pound burger, 15 dozen oysters, and a lot more, all in the name of extreme eating.
Another group who are infamous for extreme eating are the boys from Epic Meal Time on YouTube. Harley Mortenstein, Muscles Glasses and the rest of the gang have done risky things - from eating ghost peppers to drinking 20 year old bottles of Pepsi - these are not recommended. How sophisticated are you when it comes to eating? Would you eat a glazed donut cheeseburger? If the answer is yes... Here are 15 of the most outrageous restaurant menu items that you could try.

1 The Luther Burger
Coming in at number one for the most outrageous restaurant menu item available to order is the Luther Burger. The Luther Burger is a good old-fashioned hamburger or cheeseburger, but instead of using bread buns, these burgers are encased between two glazed donuts. The Luther Burger is seen around the world - it's popular at county fairs and street festivals, but this unique burger was created at Mulligan's Bar in Decatur, Georgia. The story behind it is that the cook ran out of hamburger buns and just went with what he had - donuts. The name comes from R&B singer Luther Vandross, who apparently loved the burger, but it's also commonly called the "Donut Burger". This adventurous eater's dream typically clocks in at over 1,000 calories and 45 grams of fat.
