Now that 2015 has come and gone, it feels like a distant memory. However, 2015 was merely a few days ago which is why we at TheRichest thought it would be fun to take a walk down memory lane. A lot of incredible things happened in 2015; great movies were released, incredible music was made and may political and social strides were taken. However, in a world where we are almost obsessed with celebrities, it is hard not to focus on all the crazy s--t that went down in 2015.

Last year was definitely a year of surprise and scandal in the circles of elite celebrities. From arrests or overdoses, 2015 was a hard year for many. The following includes the 15 most talked about celebrity moments of 2015.

Between the good, the bad and the awful, these next 15 “scandals” will make you happy it’s a new year. Sit back and enjoy this short but entertaining walk through 2015, Hollywood edition.

15. Kim Richards

2015 was not the best year for Real Housewife of Beverly Hills Kim Richards. The child actress admitted to having substance abuse problems during her fiery interview with Dr. Phil. After the interview took place, Richards was charged with public intoxication and battery of a police officer. Richards was also involved in a shop lifting scandal at Target. Anyone who watches The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills knows what a touchy subject Kim’s “sobriety” has always been and last year showed how out of control she really is. Although she is no longer on the show, her sister Kyle still is and apparently their relationship is still extremely rocky. Hopefully 2016 will be a better year for Kim Richards.

14. Fashion Police

The television show Fashion Police hit a downward spiral in 2015 when it was placed on hiatus after Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne quit. The pair left the show after Giuliana Rancic made a comment about Zendaya’s dreadlocks at the Oscars. During an episode of the show Rancic said that the actress’ hairdo made her look like she “smelled like patchouli oil or weed.” Although Rancic claims the comment was not meant in a racist manner viewers and Zendaya took it that way.

Zendaya was in fact extremely insulted by the comment and went directly to social media with her response. “There is already harsh criticism of African American hair in society without the help of ignorant people who choose to judge others based on the curl of their hair…to me, locks are a symbol of strength and beauty, almost like a lion’s mane.”

13. Tyga and Kylie

In 2015, Kylie Jenner became one of the most talked about celebrities for many reasons, one of which being her romantic relationship with rapper Tyga. The relationship was scandalous because Tyga is a 26-year-old father and Kylie turned 18 during their relationship. Not only was age a topic of controversy with this couple but also the extravagant gifts that were given to the teenager, including a ginormous diamond ring and a Ferrari (yes, a Ferrari). Although the relationship didn’t make it till 2016, Tyga and Kylie's love affair was definitely one of the most talked about issues of 2015.

12. Scott Disick

11. Bobbi Kristina Brown

When Whitney Houston died, she left a void in many people's hearts, including her daughter Bobbi Kristina. Bobbi Kristina lived a life that was far from easy. Houston passed away in 2012 and only a few days before the anniversary of her mother's passing, Bobbi was found in a bathtub, unresponsive (similar to how her mother was found). The 22-year-old was kept on life support for almost four months and sadly there was no progression in her rehabilitation. On July 26, 2015, Bobbi Kristina was pronounced dead. This tragedy struck the Houston family as well as everyone who was a fan of Whitney. The family has said they find comfort in the idea that Bobbi and Whitney are together, watching over them.

9. Miss Universe

This year, Miss Universe was a bit more talked about than usual. The show began and went on like any other from previous years. Steve Harvey, the host of the event was doing a great job. However, after Miss Colombia was crowned as the new Miss Universe, everything slowly fell apart. In reality, Miss Colombia was the runner up and Steve Harvey made the mistake of thinking she was the winner. Miss Philippines, the real Miss Universe, was crowned minutes later. This embarrassing and unpredicted moment was the last big talked about scandal of the year and although it happened in December, it still counts as 2015!

1 Josh Duggar

The Duggar family earned their fame by participating in one of TLC’s reality shows titled 19 Kids and Counting. The title is pretty self-explanatory; the show is about a family with a ton of children. In May 2015, one of the eldest of the Duggar family, Josh, was revealed as a child molester. The documents regarding his actions were made public and the scandal forced TLC to immediately suspend 19 Kids and Counting as well as pull all reruns from rotation on the station. This was a huge surprise and disappointment to fans of the show and it was definitely one of the most talked about celebrity scandals of the year.

6. Bill Cosby

To many growing up, Bill Cosby was a comforting face to see on television. Until recently, he was loved by America as one of Hollywood’s greatest comedians.

The legendary comedian faced some hardcore allegations at the end of 2014 that followed him all throughout 2015 (and are continuing in 2016). Cosby was accused of sexual misconduct and the news became public. 2015 was a year of turmoil for the once beloved comedian. Cosby still denies these allegations and with new evidence, it is rumored that he is innocent. However, in this case, I guess only time will reveal the truth.

5. Bieber’s Penis

4. Jared Fogle

Once upon a time, Jared Fogle was an inspiration to America after losing an incredible amount of weight on the “Subway diet.” Fogle became Subway's spokesperson and the world really just saw him as “Jared the Subway guy,” however in 2015 he became known as “Jared the pedophile.” Subway obviously cut all ties with Fogle and in November 2015, he was sentenced to more than 15 years after pleading guilty to the charges. The 38-year-old will be eligible for parole in 2029. Dr. Phil dedicated two episodes of his show to the story and gave us insight into what really happened with Fogle and those minors.

3. Lamar Odom

The Kardashian family is no stranger to conflict and in 2015, Khloe’s estranged husband found himself in the middle of a situation. In October 2015, athlete Lamar Odom was found overdosed in a Las Vegas brothel. Soon after the incident occurred Khloe called off the divorce and fans believed that this tragedy may have, in some way, brought the pair back together. However, that is not the case, Khloe made the decision to make sure she could make medical decisions on his behalf. It has been months since the incident and Odom is still recovering. Say what you want about Khloe Kardashian, but in this situation, she did the right thing.

2. Charlie Sheen

1. Bruce Jenner aka Caitlyn

Bruce Jenner, the Olympic gold medalist, shocked the world when he came out as a transgender woman in 2015. The athlete, father, grandfather and American sports legend came out during a much-anticipated 20/20 interview with Diane Sawyer, which aired in April. Although the media had predicted this transition months before, his courage to come out as a “her” was admirable. Caitlyn opened many doors for the transgender community and was truly responsible for the most talked about event in 2015. Caitlyn, formally known as Bruce Jenner, claims to be happier than ever and has stated that “he is happy to no longer be living a lie.”
